For many, many years an uncovered 40' long open uncovered Dumpster at the Carlyle Apartments in Baltimore at 500 West University Parkway has been blowing trash into the streets, adjacent properties and the adjacent Wyman Park designed by the noted landscape architect firm of Federick Law Olmsted.
We have contacted the local property manager at the a Carlyle and he does nothing and clearly Morgan Properties just feels this is the cost of doing business to leave the issue unresolved.
When there is a strong north wind big boxes, paper plastic, plastic bags lift up out of a 40' long uncovered dumpster (due to winds blowing against the 15 story building) and trash the neighborhood and adjacent Wyman Park. Plastic bags are hanging in the trees of the park and the downhill area of the has become a dump.
The new Mayor Brandon Scott has said cleaning up Baltimore is a priority. The new local City Council person Odette Ramos has scheduled a meeting with the Environmental Control Board for the 23rd of March at 3:40 pm. The City Council President, Nick Mosby, is aware of the issue.
Desired outcome: Cover the dumpster stop the trash blowing out into the public realm.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
