I would like to complain that john &kara higney the managers owners of this sonic location are in all kinds of violations. They have posted a letter on the buliten board saying that if any of there employees stay over without approval, even if buisy. They are not allowed to stay over and they have told there staff that they would not be paid for it.. Also for the carhops he has posted a letter telling them if they don't report all there tipps everyday they are fired on the spot.. He hasn't even got a labor posted up or anywhere in this buisness. He is working minors more than they are suposed to by law. And the just of it all is he has actually been taking off some of the associate managers hours and reposting them to his wifes time and you can visably see it on the computer where they clocked in and out and he posted them off. He has just fired an employee for closing early when in fact he has done it so many times his self.. I would like to talk to anyone but larry and john someone above these two people if you could help me please and be sure if your ever near this sonic and its closed before midnight pplease call sonic and report it pleasssssse... Thank you please consider this and please report it if you are near there... Nikki

I agree completely Anonymou,
The business is that of the OWNER'S, not the employees. If the owner decides to play his luck with the time that is his business and he'll eventually be caught. However, being a regional supervisor and owning a drive-in myself, the closing early part is at the mercy of the OWNER. I have fired a few assistants for running the store as though it was their own and closing early. This type of behavior is strictly prohibited!
Also, employees are not allowed to stay over their allotted time in my drive-ins either. I consider that to be mooching hours. You work what you are supposed to work. You don't have your go-home work done before it's time to go? You still leave and get written up for it. Managers have the responsibility of keeping their labor hours in check which is what these owners are doing.
If you feel you have an unfair labor case or feel that you can prove that he is breaking the law by tampering with time sheets, then take it to the labor board in your state. They'll investigate the case if you have proof. Otherwise, live with it.
Lastly, it is strictly against operational procedures to have off the clock employees or the public present in your drive-in at ANY time- Open, Close, or Mid-Shift. So, if you are off the clock- STAY OUT!
Wow. The key words here are OWNER OPERATOR. It's their business to do what they want with. Drive-ins are not required to stay open until midnight, and if your shifts over, go home. They don't have to pay you over time, and you should be fired for not going home when your shift ends. All paper work states that there is no loitering during "off" hours, which is exactly what your doing.
