I was a new donor and began donating around April of 2023. On May 7th, I was in for a donation and passed out due to not being able to get my blood back. I then had a gash in my head and had to be transported VIA Ambulance to the hospital where I got 5 staples in my head. I was told by Dorris, Arbrook staff, that the ambulance was complimentary and that they were responsible for the ambulance, or I never would have left in one, as we had spoken about. Dorris proceeded to follow up with me after I was discharged, at which point I asked about the billing of the ambulance and I was told that they already automatically take care of the bill through the company that they used. So, a few days later I received the ambulance bill in my name for $1700. I have since then, in a spand of a week, left THREE voicemails asking directly for Dorris, or anyone at this point, to return my phone call regarding this. It's about to be a week and a half with no response. I would appreciate any help that I can get in trying to get this resolved as the due date of the bill is approaching. Thank you in advance.
Desired outcome: Ambulance bill paid- a phone call back would also be nice.
BioLife Plasma Services - Nurse screening
I had been a very good supportive donor for Biolife Plasma, in fact I have been giving donations for years. My favorite location was actually two blocks away from my home residence and I would stop by and give donations at least 4 times a month because the donation center was so close to home and the nursing staff was friendly and good at communicating. Then I moved to Arlington, TX and donated a few times thinking it would be as friendly and easy as the previous center. Well, its not and I was told that I didn't have a current address, and needed to prove proof of residency. Then I was harassed by a staff member and head nurse, saying "I didn't have proof of residency." Which is not correct but I was harassed in a patient screening, which I was told that I "was lying and not providing true information" about my new residency and that I was a tattoo guy" who doesn't fill the qualifications of a qualified donor as well as a "low income donor". Although I have donated for years and work evenings in operations. This Nurse accused me of providing false information, asking way too many questions and that don't make sense claiming, "well we had that elephant hepatitis.
Desired outcome: Complaint filed with DON for harassment during screening. E file waver to reinstate donor status. Another location than Arlington, TX.
BioLife Plasma Services - The treatment i have received.
My name is Donovan Feller I had made an appointment for Saturday at 8:40 but I was told that I made him an appointment for Sunday which was my mistake but when I went to come in one of the lady said we don't open till nine and I says well I was able to set an appointment for 840 and she will be open up at nine I said OK so then the manager Kodie comes over and tells me I'm gonna have to ask you to leave and I says well The appointment website was able for me to schedule an appointment for 840 and Kodie said well I'm still gonna have to ask you to leave in a rude tone and I said OK whatever so when I went to come in at 9 o'clock I was told to come into the office and he told me that I'm going to have to permanently defer you because of your behavior and I'm like excuse me I had no behavior all I was doing was asking how I was able to make an appointment for 840 today if you guys open up at nine you'll need to take your sign down then I didn't have an attitude he goes well at your previous occurrences but I think it's stupid. And that I can't donate at any Biolife centers ever. Which I didn't do anything but they're making excuses for me not to ever donate at any of their centers. But I do have some complaints against the workers as well due to the fact that they never change their gloves after they finish with each person wiping off counters touching people's blood wiping off the machines and then the dirt is on their gloves and they don't change your gloves and they have to be told each and every time to change your gloves and that's a health hazard so why am I getting dinged for that. If someone can call me at [protected] for a follow up.
I was permanently deferred yesterday for an honest mistake I had on my questionnaire way back in March even though I immediately told the person that was about to put my IV in that I definitely answered one of the questions wrong and told her what my answer should have been. So they go oh ok lemme go find someone who can fix that for u but I think u should be good. They go talk to the lady at the desk, come back, and says yep ur good and continues with the donation. Then yesterday when I go to donate I had that longer physical appointment I was there for almost two hours waiting and doing all the stuff they needed me two and right before I was finally about to donate the lady that was working with tells me that I lied to them about it and I was permanently deferred and was suddenly so unbelievably rude to me that she just kept interrupting me when I was trying to tell her that no I definitely did not lie the person who I thought fixed it was even there that day but I could already tell that it didn’t matter what I said at that point. She decided that I was a liar so I quest that must be the case. I left in tears!
BioLife Plasma Services - False advertising
I recently became a new donor for plasma myself and been 7 times and on my app it says I had additional $50 bonus on my 7th time and they did not pay out. And referral program again $150 on my app per referral and it said after they go 2 times and my referral did and I only get $30! This is not right to false advertise I should of received the additional $180.00 today. Not good business very upset.
