My name is Samantha Esperanza and I was currently an employee of Whataburger my employee ID is 994977, My first complaint would be that i was charged for a pair of shoes for crews that were on my pay statement and the price was $106.05 i had sent the shoes back because they were a wrong fit, i wanted a diffrent size, then i was told the shoes were on the way, then i was told by the general manger that she had thought i did not want the shoes anymore and she sent them back, i have not revieved my money back from those shoes and i have proof of it on my paperless employee account with whataburger and my desirable resolution would be for my money to be receive back.
my next complaint would be, i was wrongfully terminated on the day of 1/01/2020 i haved worked with the company for 4 years and find it unprofessional for a general manager to tell me "if you dont come in today you dont have a job anymore" i had established with the general manager Sabrina Hare 2 or 1 week in advance that i would be taking a driver test for a court ordered sistuation i had with the law enforcement with Judge Randy Smith that was a confidentiaul matter and i thought we had a verbal understanding that she would let me have that day off 1/01/2020 i still called the store on 01/01/2020 that day because i wanted to have confirmation that i was off and i have proof on my celluar device of the time i spent on the phone with her i was very polite and explained to her my situation once again then she told me "if you dont come in today you don't have a job anymore" i work long and hard hours on top of my college hours i am 1 of those employee that put hard work and all attention on my customers the upper manager who visits the store often and spoke with him about the situation and details he said he would give me a call back and never did I called once again and he stated "Sabrina did not answer my call she is off today let me talk with her first and I will give you a call" I then again never received a call I was trying to save my job I loved working for Whataburger and as a person I felt not part of a family corporation as the company claims to be. I also have never received a write up for any situation during the year of 2019 I called the store for confirmation of why I could not attend work. I loved working for whataburger and this is not my fisrt problem with a upper level of employment with this employer i once have been wrongfully terminated by a manager who did not have confirmation by the former general manager Emmanuel E, back in 08/00/2018. i have school and a apartment payment and bills to pay i have invested all my life and soul in to whatabuger and felt as though my problem didn't matter to the general manager I could have went to jail, and it would have resulted in further problems. I am very sorry I was unable to be their for my team on the day of the incident. In the future I hope for someone else not to be treated as disrespectfully and wrongfully terminated as I was.
