Steak 'n Shake

This is my families go to place when we are all together. Usually great service. Fri April 26, 2019 hands down worst service ever. We got there around 7pm. They were not that busy. All waiter/waitresses were huddled around the fountain drink area. We stood waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes. No one even aknowledged us, although they did look at us. We were finally seated and told server would be right over. Ten minutes later someone finally comes to get our drink order. We waited another 10 minutes to get the drinks. Then we had to wait another 7 or 8 minutes for her to come take our order. Our order took over 25 minutes to get to our table. The order was right, but all the food was cold. Not warm...cold. My Frisco burger was burnt, the cheese was not even close to being melted. It was just thrown together. My daughter ordered the chicken strips. They were cold and old. My husband got a double burger and steak frank. The hot dog looked withered up. His burger was cold too. The only reason our fried weren't all the way cold was because the cook forgot that we ordered all double fried with cheese, so he had to add on to them. We paid $30 for 3 meals that were cold and old. This is totally unacceptable. We left 3/4 of all of our food. The waitress only came by once to ask if we wanted a refill, and clearly saw almost the whole meal still sitting on our plates. We will not be back to this location. Horrible, horrible experience.
