I visited the Cheesecake Factory in Lubbock, Texas on Friday, December 21st. After waiting close to 2 hours for a table my son who has tree nut allergies ordered the kids pasta with marinara. If you read the menu and website it clearly states this item is nut free. While eating my 9 year old points out something "hard" in his pasta. I look and it was a cashew. Thankfully he did not eat it and did not have a reaction. When I approached management they explained that the cashews are kept at the pasta station and I should have told my server about the allergies. I have eaten at this establishment more times than I can count. I did not think I needed to tell the server since it clearly states on your website and menu that no nuts are in the pasta. After reviewing your website and menu the only pasta that I can see having nuts is one that contains "pine nuts". Why would a establish keep cashews near a pasta station. What upset me the most was how they handle the situation. We are make mistakes but don't turn around and say I should have mentioned my son's allergy. Obviously someone screwed up that a cashew landed in a kids marina pasta. Obviously no one in my family would continue to eat their meal after this incident. All I could imagine is what the kitchen must look like. But no fear Cheesecake Factory was kind and took off his meal and gave him a piece of cheesecake. Cheesecake Factory should count their blessings that he did not have a reaction. My next step will be calling the health department. Shame on the management. As I explained to my boys. Accidents happen. Mistakes happen. But be a man and own up to it! Don't turn around and blame someone else for your irresponsibility.

I had lunch today at the Winter Park, FL Cheesecake factory with a friend. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie after asking the waiter how it was and he said it was Great! After waiting more than an hour for our meal, my chicken pot pie arrived lukewarm, with undercooked potatoes and barely any filling under the pastry topping. I was actually hungry when I left. I wasn't looking for a huge meal, but at least a satisfying one. I happened to leave my credit card there and went back to retrieve it. The manager came up front to return it to me so I took the opportunity to tell him I had just eaten the worst chicken pot pie of my life there and told him of the issues. He said he would look into it. Pretty lame. I posted this review to TripAdvisor and gave the place a 2 star rating.
