Staff placed me on the very last room of the hall right next to their construction. I heard hammering, drilling and banging since 6:30 AM. Upon check out I told the front desk my issues. His responses were "I didn't know they started early" and "we have to have construction to fix the damage from the storm." He stated he would talk to the manager to give some type of compensation and would call me. The point to this issue is, why would you place me right next to where all the construction is? I also recorded all the noise and showed it to the front desk but he didn't seem to care.
After my stay I was sent a Tell us about your stay survey via email. One question on the hotels survey is to write any bad experiences. Minutes later, I got an email from Christina Sanchez General Manager stating I was now placed on the No Rent List due to my bad experience concern/complaint I listed on the survey. It was like I was being set up to be placed on the no rent list. Why would the hotel ask for you to mention any bad experience, if they truly did not want to know. I was punished for voicing my opinion. I am writing this so others will be aware. I contacted Corporate and even they were shocked that Christina General Manager took it to that extent. This was my only complaint in the whole 4 years that I would stay here. I have family in town that I visit frequently. Now that I have written reviews, Christina Sanchez keeps flagging my reviews with the hopes of silencing my experience/concerns.
Desired outcome: Be removed from the No Rent List at this hotel.
