We have always stayed with La Quinta for years. Never have we had such bad customer service. For starters the front desk clerk could never find our reservations. We were in line for 20 minutes and he just said "there is nothing" at this point my husband showed him the confirmation number and he still replied, I see nothing. At this point another clerk walked in and he said I cant find their RSVP. Thankfully after about 10 more minutes she found it. Once we were at the room turns out they had given us a smoking room when we asked for non smoking ( we had our toddlers with us). They had no more rooms available to switch out. Then as i dropped something on the floor i bent down and I noticed old french fries under the bed, right where the linen hits the ground. I take it the room was not cleaned thoroughly. The phone in the room did not work, the tub leaked water, the water knobs were so old that they were hard to maneuver. With all these issues we had it makes me think twice about staying again. Please look into this so that it doesn't occur again and have these people retrained in customer service and housekeeping.
I'm so disappointed with this 2 day stay, it s unfortunate because we didn't enjoy our stay at all. I would like refund or a free night at another La quinta of our choice.
