Reservation date Wed 01/16/ 2018 to Sat 01/20/2018 for two rooms. We had a delay in our flight where we did not get to the hotel until the next day which was Thursday at 4:00am. When we arrived our room was marked as a no show/ canceled because we had not called or change the arrival time. Understandable. My Capital One Master card was charged for Wednesday. We asked if the room was still available which it was, but was also told that a $50 deposit would be needed. Why? I had a cc on the account and the website never said deposit would be needed upon arrival . We were so tired that at this point, whatever. Let me please add that we were there for our son's Air Force Basic Training graduation. VERY special moment for us !
Later that day my husband Mario Hammons got a notification that his card had been charged $72.04and $122.04. Mario asked the manager why was his Chase debit card 72.04, he only authorized the $50.00 deposit. Also asked why the $122.04 was charged on the account. We were told that was the remaining balance for the room. We have never been charged the full amount for a hotel stay before check out, or a deposit when there is a credit card on the account . Something told me to check my card and yes my card was Charged 122.04 TWICE! Our total for the 3 night stay went from 178.07 to 438.12. Unacceptable!
#1 / Room 251 - The Tub did not drain properly and the sink faucet did not have a washer on it so water was splashing everywhere. We requested a different room.
#2 / Room 249 - The room was very cold, the door did not close all the way, there was a big gab at the bottom of the door where we could see outside and the TV did not work!
#3 /Room 208 - Woke up to my husband screaming for me and my daughter to get up and get out things because he had seen a ROACH! Once my husband followed the ONE roach on the headboard from my daughters bed to ours, he looked behind the pillow and then saw another ROACH. Gathering our things before checking out saw the 3rd ROACH! NOTE: We have Pictures!
After viewing my Credit card statement today 1/30, my card has been charged for Wednesday 1/16 for $56.03. Normally I would not mind paying for the day because it's the policy to call. Contacted the Red Roof Inn today and spoke to Rude Chris who was there the night we checked out and knows exactly what we went through regarding our room(s) and the charges. Reached out two days ago to discuss the charges and he advised that he would call back. Well I had to reach out to him today. Where is the customer service?
This has been the WORST Hotel stay EVER! The fact that my card still has a charge from RED ROOF INN on it is very disturbing ! After our horrible day all the charges should have been credited. We wasted a whole day in changing rooms, disputing unauthorized charged on two cc's and critters in our room. I should not be asking for charges to be reversed.
This places needs to be shut down and the employee that swiped our card multiple times need to be FIRED !
