Had an insurance water damage claim in October 2021 USAA insurance sent the check to Carrington mortgage to release an increment to repair the house only released one 25% increment and refused to release anymore, different excuse every time.
I have done everything they have asked from sending in paperwork four to five different times after they said they received it and then said they didn't call countless times a day since in all receipts since in the correct bid from a license contractor did everything according to their policies and they still will not release our money horrible company to deal with.
Desired outcome: Would like the money from the insurance to be released to repair my home as it's supposed to be and to be reimbursed out of pocket expenses

Carrington Mortgage Services just flat lies. They have people who with no ruth whatsoever, lie without hesitation or remorse. They use their own terminology that no one else in the real estate industry accepts or adheres to, and with "their own terminology", defend the indefensible. They will take insurance funds. cash the check, hold it in an account till the bid originally received is now with inflation increased to the point that half of the insurance funds is no longer half of the job including deductible, then they have the obtuse audacity to leave an automated message saying that they would like to know how the repairs are progressing...when they are ONLY HOLDING THE FUNDS because they want to "MONITOR" the process that they have an interest in. But they are doing this MONITORING, from hundreds of miles away. I and WE the people who have money in Carrington's Insurance Check SCAM account no doubt earning interest, want our money the way virtually every other mortgage company works. If you have thousands of customers with thousands of dollars of repairs, then you're sitting on millions. We're not stupid. If I figured it out, how long till everyone figures it out? Carrington is making money off our misfortune and insurance checks. That's wrong in so many ways. PDB.
