Roses Discount Store

I was just racially profiled at the roses express here in Petersburg Virginia for having a backpack as a purse I use from my daily life, I was in this store with my mom and I told my mom that I would be back and go off to look at some clothes and I was stopped by this (white) lady and was told that I can’t have that in here walking around and to report to the front because I had a backpack which is my purse, and I told the lady that I would go tell my mom and before we could get the the front good enough the lady (African American) (Donna) on the register close to the door gets on the loudspeaker and says the person with the backpack come to the front. Mind you I was the only female with a purse backpack in there and have been coming to this location for many months and has never had a problem. The store manager (Mrs Phillis) was very nice and caring and helpful in this situation and said she would handle it from there. As a African female and I did not feel safe in that situation.
