TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The above company hacked into my computer with a security pop up. The only way to get rid of it was to install it. After speaking with Microsoft, I loaded Stopzilla which gets rid of viruses. As a result it deleted the security package. On my credit card bill is an amount owed to the above company for $49.95 plus an International service fee of $1.50. Although I downloaded the package, but did not use it, my question is: Do I have to pay this amount or should I call them and refuse to pay?

Don't fall for this chrpay.com/eurosoft scam! I was using Internet Explorer and my computer suddenly started flashing that Windows Internet Security had detected over 20 viruses on my computer and I had to purchase antivirus software to get rid of the threat. When I didn't do it immediately I received another message that a virus was trying to access my passwords and steal my identity. The Windows Internet Security box looked legitimate -- it looked like the logo that comes up when I install Windows updates. So I gave my credit card info and paid $69.95. Afterwards there was no evidence of this software on my computer. The charge came up under " chrpay.com/eurosoft" on my credit card statement. I googled this and found similar complaints. Don't fall for this scam!
Unfortunately, my company is also called Eurosoft and recently we have begun to receive phone calls from individuals who have had a similar experience to the one described above. In some cases, they were given our telephone number by their bank or credit card company after they called to complain about the charges on their accounts.
Please be aware: Eurosoft, Inc. in Cary, NC, is NOT in any way, associated with this scam or the company perpetrating it. We do not receive any payments to our accounts as a result of the charges incurred by the victims of this scam nor are we responsible for the software or viruses that were installed on your computers.
If your bank or CC company gives you our number: 919 -468 - XXXX, please inform them that they should try a little harder than a simple Google search. We can not help you uninstall the virus/software or help you recover your payment.
We regret that you have become the victim of online fraud and we wish you the best of luck in recovering your money and restoring you computer's functionality.
