Very first experienced was bad Alternator on dash board shown CHARGING SYS., brought 2016 Mitsubishi in service ctr. in Sterling, VA CARMAX.
James Gill was counselor guy the first service ticket. He ordered after market
Alternator it doesn’t worked so brought car in for 2nd visited. This time he ordered OEM so it took few days the part arrived. After OEM Alternator replaced the voltage out put fluctuated every times I shift Transmission to
Drive the voltage dropped to 12v or below some time 11.7v or 11.8v during
Trip and stop at traffic lights. When started the car the voltage shows 14.1v
as soon I shift to D observed voltage decrease to 12.2 or 12.4v output every times every trips daily. Some thing involved caused the voltage fluctuated when
Shift to D caused voltage shorted some where fluctuated right away. CARMAX
STERLING service ctr. mechanics wrote no issue found some time they not bothered to checked the car wrote NO ISSUE FOUND by Mechanics or behind counter guys treated MAXCARE customers or lack of knowledge to trouble the root caused of CHARGING SYS.
My opinion don’t buy extend service agreement from CARMAX and CARMAX
of Sterling mechanics don’t care or don’t know how treated me horrible service.
I brought this 2016 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER to Sterling ctr. 8 times still NO ISSUE FOUND when picked up the car. Beware of those knuckle head guys sit behind counter they’re full of lied, deceived divert from the main issues to some thing else to fooled the customers. They’re so much lies and deceived not take care the customers have MAXCARE bought thru CARMAX when purchased the vehicle. Not recommended STERLING service ctr. is very bad service.
Desired outcome: Fix or repair the complaint issue CHARGING SYS. not Lied if lack of knowledgedeceived customers NO ISSUE FOUND every times .
CarMax - dishonest employes & management
About a year ago, Car Max advertised online a 2003 Land Rover for $13, 000. My wife was interested in the vehicle and we went to check it out, by the time we arrived it began to storm and we decided to talk to the sales man about the vehicle, of course we were told that another couple was interested in the Land Rover and they were supposed to arrive in approximately 2 hours. I advised the sales man I would like to test drive the vehicle but with the storm, I wanted to wait until it passed. My wife showed the sales man the online amount for $13, 000 he said it was an error but he would check to see if the manager would honor the quote. He returned and said the manager will honor the $13, 000. We told the sales man we would come back after the storm and test drive the car. An hour later we went back to test drive the car, the sales man said sorry; it was sold to the couple that was interested. After several minutes of arguing, we went to the manager who said nothing they can do. When we got home, my wife went online and the same Land Rover, model# and stock# was for sale, this time the online ad was for $15, 600.00. We called and guess what, nothing but runaround. Word of mouth is the best advertisement, and we have nothing good to say about Car Max.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
