Hello I presented a donors coupon to the BioLife techs and they did not honor the amount on the coupon. I first asked a Tech about my coupon and she acknowledged it - but seemed exasperated that I asked. She then told me she would be back to put it into the computer and she never returned. I then asked a second tech while I was donating about the coupon, she stated to me she would not give me the coupon because I had already been stuck and coupons have to be applied before they stick the needle into you. I explained to her I had already asked before I got stuck, but the tech never came back. She told me she was going to talk to her manager. Upon the manager (Hunter) showing up I presented the coupon on a screenshot picture, he then stated to me he wouldn’t give me the coupon because it’s a screenshot of the coupon and it needed to be on an email. I then showed him the actual email, he proceeded to read the email and started reluctantly typing the code from the coupon in on the computer. He paused for about 1 -3 minutes and then asked me to look at the coupon on my phone again. He exams the email for about 5 minutes and explained that he could not honor the coupon because it was expired, I agreed with what he was saying. The price on the coupon was $150, hunter stated to me my payment would be $110 for my donation with out the coupon code. Only $40 dollars was uploaded to my card. Overall I’m very dissatisfied with my most recent appointment and will not be returning a donor to BioLife. I felt I was treated as if I was trying to get more money when I was simply presenting a coupon that was sent to me. Not to mention the fact that only $40 dollars was uploaded to my card which was the lowest payment I have ever received while donating with BioLife. I don’t know if this was a miscommunication with the manager at BioLife but it seems to me I was given every excuse not to honor a coupon and then given less then original donating price as a joke. Also there is a “ I don’t wanna be here” atmosphere in the BioLife donating center from the employees. I heard several employees complaining about working there and talking amongst each other about how they were only happy working there due to the company of other employees. Also that they were tired of dealing with all the “ crazy” people who go to donate blood. I also witnessed several “ omgs”, and saw several eye rolls from the 3 women at the front counter area when new donors were walking in. I assume it was due to the fact it was a couple hours before closing on BioLifes opening day after the weekend, but experiencing this as a donor it made me think wow these people really hate their jobs. I would hope the work atmosphere could be something your could work on employees with. For anyone new looking to donate plasma please do not go to the BioLife in Vancouver Wa.
Desired outcome: I would like for the staff to be clear on the coupons because it seemed there was a bunch of different stipulations and to be payed the $70 difference from the $110 dollar donation price the manger told me I was going receive.
