I visited the store in Ashwaubenon on June 30th to get some help with a pistol. There was one associate working. I saw another associate walking through the department and asked her if anyone else was working to help me and she responded with "I don't know this isn't my deparment". I asked her then if she could call someone and with a reluctant sigh, she did. "no one else is coming in until noon" she told me and walked away.
I waited 50 minutes for the associate to be done with his customer. Another associate came out and helped someone else that approached the counter.
I was told the pistol I wanted was only available online. I ordered the pistol online and was told by the store associates that it would be about 14 days and that they would call me when it arrived. Right after I made the order online, I got an email from Cabellas that my order was in. I called and they told me that was an error. 10 days passed and I called to see if it had arrived. It had, no call from them.
I went to get the pistol and the background check system was down. I returned 3 hours later after calling to see if it was back up. Finally after checking out, background check, I saw the pistol and it didn't look right. They told me it was correct but I had the associates look at what it was labeled and what it was supposed to look like. They agreed, it was the wrong one (after having to return 3 hours later because their system crashed for a background check). Good thing I was pursistent about looking at the gun and that it wasn't correct. This was done after the background check, purchase, etc.
A manager (He was very nice) tried to help me find the matte pistol I wanted online but only the gold was available, and for $50 more. I didn't want the gold one nor wanted to pay for shipping now.
Essentially a HUGE waste of time. Never will return, and that is unfortunate because we live near this beautiful store.
