I purchased a vacation package in Cancun last year that was hiped and completely misleading! As previously duped customers have addressed - I too was pitched a 50% off savings only to read 25% in the contract and advised the additional savings would be through room upgrades at service discounts at the resort.. big lie! In trying to book my 1st vacation with them since purchasing the 5yr 'trial' membership in 2021, the trusted resort that I had stayed at for the past 4 yrs and that I wanted to revisit, was closed for renovations during my scheduled vacation time and I was suggested another resort that would meet my beach & swimmable water/sea expectations - knowing that Cancun had issues with seaweed this year I was hesitant but they reassured me it was no longer an issue. I made a huge error in judgement in trusting the booking agent's advice - it should be noted the second agent I called back to cancel with, told me the same thing - its all good now.
My cancellation was a result of the many recent reviews at ALL their available resorts in Cancun that specifically addressed the unswimmable water and related beach conditions. When I stressed the importance of a clean beach and sea to the representative that initially booked the resort, and a second one when trying to change resorts, neither were familiar with the properties nor the specific seaweed situation at any of the recommended resorts! Customer reviews do not lie and your staff should be aware of customer feedback as should those considering purchasing vacation and timeshare packages. This was my first transaction as a member of Unlimited Vacation Club /AMR. I was sceptical of your organization and its many promises to deliver an "elevated exceptional vacation experience while saving money"- UVC has delivered the opposite of what was promised.

Desired outcome: refund the 1-night stay that you charged me for cancelling my trip 15 days in advance of my stay and cancel my membership with UVC- at NO additional costs.
