Scam!
Scam! Stay away! Told me I sent in 5 requests
to cancel my booking and I never put those requests in. I never cancelled I didn't even know of cancellation. I told them I wouldn't be able to make the rest of the payment by the date recommended was told I can push the date back if final payment due checked my reservation and it was CANCELLED! Why give people the run around and tell them they can push the final payment due date back but instead cancel their reservation lost out on $899.00! Said they received multiple cancellation request from me which is false! If you receive cancellation requests wouldn't you think to contact the customer before canceling outright? Requested to speak with manager and got magically disconnected. This was my birthday trip and now it's ruined my money was stolen by this company and now I have to figure out what I am going to do! Listen to the reviews and book somewhere else. I used this company before NEVER AGAIN!
Desired outcome: I want a refund!
Refund for 2020 cancelled trip
Due to Covid in March my trip was cancelled by Vacation Express. They gave me voucher for two years. Unfortunately, I lost my job, so the situation changed during the two years, and I was not able to use the voucher. I asked for a refund but was getting the same answer that their policy is not to refund ... They offered another voucher but requested exact date of my next trip. I have just lost my job, and don't feel comfortable booking a trip as I don't know how long it will take me to find another job.
I did not cancel the trip in 2020, it was unfortunate Covid situation, but my trip was supposed to happen in 2020, no other years. Vacation Express could me more understanding and actually care about their customers, and not forcing them to book vs. refund.

Desired outcome: full refund
Insured client with a window of the trip uninsured.
Client bought the PPP+ travel insurance for a Jul 31, 2022, 6-night trip on a Charter flight. The CFAR (cancel for any reason) 2 hour before is in place. Client checks in at airport, as client is boarding, client is detained by authorities (police) and taken into custody for an unknown 2-year ago outstanding warrant. Client was released on Aug 5th to family members. Aug 5th client called VE and was told they have CFAR but to get in touch with Travel Advisor. She emailed me (the Travel Advisor) on Aug 5th which I was out of the country until Aug 6, 2022. I checked my emails on Aug 7 and that is when I first learned of the situation. I immediately reached out to Arch Insurance to start a claim under Trip interruption. Few days later Arch told me that they do not take effect until clients reach their destination. Arch said that is on VE under CFAR. VE says it was not cancelled in the 2-hour window, so they are not responsible. So, who is responsible for the 2-hour window and the time clients reach their destination? Is this a dead window for the insured? Canceling in the 2-hour was now even remotely possible. VE rep said they would reach out to Arch and see what could be done. To date no one claims that window. that is not fair whatsoever. That window of no coverage needs to be addressed by both companies.
Desired outcome: Please refund her trip less the insurance cost.

Refund/ cancelation.
Booked my vacation to St Lucia for our 30th Anniversary in Feb. 2021 for Oct 02 through Oct 09 at Hieaway at Royalton in Saint Lucia. When time was getting close for our trip the Pandemic was rapidly spreading, and these other countries was putting up heavy stipulations for testing. So we decided to cancel our tripon Sept 24. Thank God I purchased insurance. The woman told me we had a voucher good for on year, one was for land and other was for airfare. Well fast forward about 6 months when we get vacation picks through place of employment figured out. We find a new destination for vacation and call to get information on voucher and how to use it and find out the airfare voucher through Delta expired in Feb, one year after we booked our vacation. None of this was mentioned when I cancelled my trip. I've used Vacation Express several times and was happy until now. So after this trip I will use different company for all my vacation needs.
Recent trip to Playa Del Carmen
Horrible, half the hotel was closed, the beach had four feet of the worst smelling seaweed imaginable. Only placenta eat at the 7 restaurants was the Buffett. Vacation Express offered me 100 dollars off my next trip, that a 2700 trip ruined and they offered 100 dollars off my next trip.
flight arrangements
We booked a trip with vacation Express in December 2018 for 4 people to Dominican Republic .3 of us were departing from Dallas on Miami air and one person from Chicago. On Our return flight, my daughter's flight was changed with little notice, requiring her to fly, instead of directly to Dallas, now through Atlanta and then to Dallas. in Atlanta her flight was cancelled and she was put on stay-by for 11 hours. When we boarded at our flight on Miami air leaving the Dominican Republic to Dallas there were 12 empty seats... there was no reason to change her flight.. we were so worried, specifically due to the dangerous situation Americans have been experiencing in Dominic republic right now . This put my daughter at great danger and made her flight 14 hours in duration, instead of the 4:20 confirmed direct flight. When we called vacation Express, they said they have nothing to do with any change and informed us that Delta air did it...!? We want to know who exactly did it and why and contact us to explain why this occurred ...
