Working here for the past 5 years, has been a privilege and an amazing experience! This opportunity has allowed me to pay off my student loans and be able to have the flexibility to enjoy life!
This marketing company is unreal. Caleb S contacts my daughter to try and get her to join them. I end up communicating with him that she is not interested and is uncomfortable with the entire situation. He keeps on trying to get now both of us to agree on an interview. I inform him that we are not interested. Now it's the next day and another guy named Gabriel B text my daughter about being on this virtual interview. I text both Caleb and Gabriel and tell them that she is not interested and to stop contacting her. Caleb S then tries to call me and I refuse to answer that call. I don't know what part of harassment they don't understand but they need to stop.
I was contacted by a "hiring manager" after someone I do not know listed my number with what ended up being apparently around 180 other people. My information was spread without my permission. The unsolicited offer included no information of what the company or offered "job" was. When told no because MLM is not in my interests, I was told I was misinformed. They match the FTC's definition of MLM...so yeah. Will lie, get your info in sketchy ways, and keep contacting after a firm no.

Being contacted by a MLM does not really bode well. When questioned about their tactics, they responded with misinformation in attempts to get me to be recruited.
I have no idea how this company acquired my information or knows that I am a high school student, but they won't stop sending me letters in the mail regarding this. They are a multi-level marketing scheme, or better known as a pyramid scheme. The letter never mentions that you need to pay upfront for the products they want you to sell. I know several other friends who too have received these letters, and some were less fortunate to know that this company is a scam. DO NOT APPLY. DO NOT PURCHASE PRODUCTS. These products are "Cutco" knives which are cheaply-manufactured knives that they ask you to sell door-to-door or through whatever means you can. No doubt the market is flooded with this poor cutting equipment and I have no idea how they can guarantee "full-time" and "part-time" work when it isn't even based on hourly pay. They are preying upon students like myself and they are dangerous. Their letters are misleading, and never mention that you must purchase product to sell, out of your own pocket. This is a scam and it is most definitely opening itself up to a lawsuit, likely class-action with how many students they are preying upon.
This company preys on young people who are desperate for money. The text message I received from their "manager" fails to disclose essential information and violates Section 5 of the FTC Guidelines. Do not fall into their trap, it may be very hard to get out.

I am 18 years old and go to my local community college. I was drawn in by the $17 an hour wage. I went to the website and gave them my email and phone number, my mistake. I showed my dad the letter before I applied, he asked what they did and I told him I had no idea. These people offered me a job immediately. They said I would be "taking orders, talking with customers, and answering questions." Upon looking up the company I saw that this was a scam to sell crappy knives. They only offered me a job because I am fresh out of high school and what I guess they think is naive. Stay away from this company and if you get a similar letter in the mail, just throw it out.
VECTOR sent a letter with a header of *** District office. The letter is very misleading as I believed I would be applying with maybe the school district with the city of *** for a summer job. Once I signed up with my contact information within 2 minutes I received a text and email. They were ready to setup an interview. I looked up VECTOR and clicked on the ComplaintsBoard.com only to find horrible reviews. They should not be sending out misleading letters to grab people's attention.

Company contacted my personal phone and told me to follow their link
Company contacted my personal phone and told me to follow their link. The wording in the text was very unusual and said I was recommended to them to be a customer by a friend that I have no idea who that individual was. They texted back and insisted I follow the link. I refused and asked who they were and what company this was contacting me. Eventually I got an answer and decided to go to ComplaintsBoard.com to make a claim. The actions of the company contacting me were unusual and very worrying.

I have been relentlessly sent letter Direct Messages from people who I know but don't talk to I never consented to any contact from vector marketing. I have been warned by many people to stay away from this pyramid scheme of a company. I asked to be removed from EVERY mailing and contact list, I do not want to recover 1 more thing from Vector Marketing or it's affiliates.
They send me JUNK MAIL! NO MORE MAIL!

A little less than a year ago, I did the training and the team building activity, but the next day I decided to quit because I realized the job wasn't right for me. However, Vector decided to text all of my contacts about how I thought they would be a good fit for the job when I wasn't even part of the company anymore. I asked my manager to not use my contacts but he didn't listen. I thought that this was unfair and I feel very uncomfortable that the company has access to my contacts.

I quit before I even had my first appointment and yet they are still texting my friends saying that I work there and that I recommended them using fake text messages. I've sent multiple messages saying to stop using my name because I am NOT their employee, yet they are going around saying I am, and they are telling people I want them to work for that company when I absolutely HATE the idea of sending any of my friends there.

On the last day of training we had to submit a screenshot of our contacts. so I did and that's all I did, I don't know how they actually got a hold of each number. But I quit that same night of the training and that was last Friday. Today they started texting all my contacts without my permission. I've emailed them and texted the manager to delete all my info and stop texting my contacts and no response. Thankfully I called that number to find out it was vector so I'm relieved I'm not getting hacked but they still went through and texted everyone.

My minor child was told that this was a legitimate business and when she started training the point of contact, Chris K, told her to install an app on her phone called ***. He then told her to check off all the adults and rushed her through the process. After this was done he said that they are taking all her contacts and then used a picture of her, that he told her to take of her self, and text all of her contacts and used her picture saying that my minor child had referred them. This is a VERY poor system and uses the children's ignorance of predatory behavior and practices against them.

On June 24, I purchased a cooking ware set from Cutco. I received it on July 17 (a Friday). On July 20 I returned the merchandise because it did not performed as advertised. In the beginning of August I called to check on the status of the reimbursement and I was told it was been process. Around August 20th I called again and was told that the lady that handles the refunds was on vacation and that the money would be refunded at the end of August. Today, September 1st (a Tuesday), I called again and was told that a check was processed on August 31st and will be mailed on Friday Sept. 4th. When I asked why the check could not be mailed today the representative told me she could not tell me that she can only see what is on the screen.

I purchased the Ultimate set of knives from a salesman through a virtual meeting due to Covid-19
I purchased the Ultimate set of knives from a salesman through a virtual meeting due to Covid-19. The salesman had said we could get 6 table knives and 6 steak knives instead of 12 of the same. What I received was 12 table knives and 0 steak knives. Upon calling Cutco the first time I spoke to their representative and they had told me it was because the steak knives were back ordered which is why we received all 12 table knives. She told me to call back in a month and not to use the 6 table knives so they could be returned and replaced with 6 steak knives. Upon calling back after a month my wife was told that the knives were still on back order until 2021 but that we would now have to pay additional money due to the steak knives being a higher price. We were never told this by the salesman. After calling back a third time I was given the same story about the cost difference and that I should talk to their supervisor. I waited on hold for over 30 min and never got an answer.

I live in Toronto, Ontario-Canada and saw an ad in the local newspaper from Vector Marketing looking for students and promising $18/hour base pay plus commission. Sounded too good to be true but thought I'd give it a shot anyway. Upon being "hired" I was called in for training at a location in Mississauga Ontario. The office itself was extremely difficult to find as there was no signage anywhere (had to call the receptionist and she guided me to an unit above a Japanese restaurant). It seemed quite shady to me yet i continued anyway being young and impressionable. I was told to purchase a demo kit by my manager Tarekh for roughly $180 and began my demonstrations. In total I did 12 demonstrations yet was not compensated for even one of them. I called my manager Tarekh many times without any avail. He instead offered to pay me less than half of what I was owed and made it seem as he was doing me a favour. I have yet to receive a dime from this company hence I would not recommend anyone work for this company as you're considered an independent contractor and do not have the same rights as an employee.

I am a student studying in texas, and I have not provided my information to Vector Marketing either directly or through a third-party service in any way, shape, or form. Vector Marketing reached out to me via snail mail "to notify [me] of an important summer break opportunity for students in [my] area." On the same piece of mail, they provided me a URL to follow which has my full name as part of the URL. I have reached out to ACC who was verified that they had not shared my personal information in any way with Vector Marketing. Having already been a former "employee" of this "company" for a month following high school, I know first-hand exactly how shady Vector Marketing/Cutco's practices are. My basic privacy as an individual has been disregarded, as I have in no way permitted any agency to disburse my personal information to recruiters. I have also added my information to the national do-not-call registry. This information has been acquired by Vector Marketing in an effort to make a profit down the line. As far as I am aware, according to federal law ***) this practice is illegal without my explicit permission.

Hi I am 20 and a college student
Hi I am 20 and a college student. I was texted about working for this company saying I was recommended for this position. When I was asked who recommended me they gave me the name "***", I don't know any ***'s. I went ahead and completed my first day of training knowing it wouldn't be paid, which I was rather skeptical about. For training I had to provide contact info for my own friends and family, which at the time I was thinking no big deal. When I asked how I was going to be paid for completing work I was told they could only due direct deposits. I told them I don't feel comfortable giving out my bank info and that I would prefer to be paid by check and was told sorry we can't do that we don't pay by check, so that was the first thing that turned me off to the company. The next thing that really turned me off is I have to provide the list of my friends/family that I will be calling to sell this product to. I am sorry I am working for them, shouldn't they provide me with the list of people to call for marketing purposes. Also, in looking online it says if you are doing training for a company even if it is online you should still be paid for your time and this company refuses to pay for your training time, saying it is part of your INVESTMENT into their company so they know you are a dedicated employee. All of this adds up like this is a pyramid scheme that I, my family, and friends want NO PART OFF.

Hello, I was recently hired through vector marketing and has went through training with Jared Ss who is by far the most unprofessional, disrespectful, cruel, and persistent boss I have ever met. I called the number talking to someone about the problems he had caused me for the past 3 days. I have messages to prove everything. He is cold hearted and had no right to contact the 877 people in my personal contact list. Jared and I specifically went offer my phone list so that I could let him know who it was ok to contact about this job. I really thought this was a way to help me. Um, no. There are many people in my phone list that I no longer communicate for reasons that are causing me big problems. I told him to stop and he didn't. I told him who on my phone list of 877 that it was ok to call and lied and went behind my back causing big problems by using my name in his selfish one, sided marketing technique. I also quit on account he through my very much personal business in face about my being with my abusive ex... Then had the nerve to say I'm trying to play victim. Oh no no no no no! I hope there is something seriously done about all this and if there isn't I will make sure there will be justice. And I deserve a paycheck since I did have 5 demo I did over the weekend even though he was treating me poorly and through text mind you. He apologized once already for how he commented, with sarcasm, to me about how I'm speaking the truth that no one I know have that kinda money to purchase these nice cutco items. Not one. He didn't like that I told the truth and sticking up for myself. Then all of a sudden he thinks just because he is my coach means that he can talk to me the way he had. I have proof with all my texts and his texts that prove how mean he was being instead of being a leader/ a boss and a supportive person to me hos trainee. I didn't deserve the lack of kindness so I hope that someone will take this seriously and get rid of the man that is harassing your workers as well as clients. I have proof if you want m me to send them let me know please. Thank you for your time and consideration. Hagee a good day.

My nephew called me to a phone demonstration for Cutco and I agreed to to do it
My nephew called me to a phone demonstration for Cutco and I agreed to to do it. Upon completing the demo he proceeded to the sales pitch. When we discussed pricing, I told him that I needed to speak to my significant other about spending such a large amount of money on kitchen knives. At which point he told me that at this point in his presentation he needed to call his manager. When he returned to our call, he had his manager, Anthony, on the phone with him. When I again stated that I wanted to discuss such a large purchase with my significant other, his manager offered to give me their Homemaker Set, which I was interested in before I learned the price, for 5 monthly payments of $104.00 and that he would throw in the 4 table knives for free. My exact words to his manager were, "Wow, that's more than half off the original price." So, I agreed to the deal only because that set is usually over $1300.00. About a week went by and I received the email with my orders tracking info. When I went to track it I saw that they were sending me their Studio Set with 4 table knives, instead of what I agreed to. When I went to their website and added everything up that I was being charged for, they had charged me for the Studio Set and 2 of the knives that I was supposed to get free. So the manager lied to me about the price I was being charged. They also charged me $107.88 instead of the $104.00 that I was quoted. Icontacted my nephew to ask about the mix up and he reached out to his manager. After speaking with his manager, my nephew told me that he said that I must have loved the Homemaker set so much that I heard him wrong and that it was my fault. I was told that I could print a return label and send them back after they arrived and that after the product was returned and inspected, I would get my refund of the first payment they had already charged me. I clearly stated in my conversation with his manager that I was getting the only because it was half off and he never corrected me, therefore it is not my fault he did not clarify and said the wrong set in his sales pitch. The order has arrived and I have contacted customer service about the problem and needing to print a return label. They informed me that they are not accepting returns until possibly May 18th, but that's not a guaranteed date. I should not have to wait til they resume normal business to get my money back for a mistake that is not my fault. They should have honored the original deal that their employee made or issue my refund immediately.
