I would like to make this complaint about video professor (www.videoprofessor.com), they are a rip off, does not teach you anything that you don't already know, i tried to return mine within the pacific time and they would not answer my e-mails. They said i needed a return number to send it back! That is as far as i got with them.
ON NOV. 30 I CANCELLED AFER REALIZING THESE LESSONS WERE NOT ON SOFTWARE WHICH I ASSUMED WERE.ON DEC.14 2010 A CHARGE OF $29.95 SHOED ON MY ACCOUNT. ON JAN.14 2011 2 CHARGES SHOWED ON MY ACCOUNT OF$29.95 EACH.I CALLED VIDEO PROFESSOR.THEY TOLD ME THAT MY ACCOUNT HAD BENN CANCELLED ON NOV.30 2010 AND THESE CHARGES WOULD BE REFUNDED IN 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS. I WAS CHECKING MY ACCOUNT ON JAN.19.2011 TO MY AMAZEMENT WAS ANOTHER CHARGE OF $29.95 ON MY ACCOUNT. I CALLED VIDEO PROFESSOR ONCE AGAIN TO TALK TO BILLING. THE LADY NAMED WAS KRIS AND WAS VERY RUDE. SHE SAID I DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER CHARGE ON MY ACCOUNT IF ANYTHING IT WAS A REFUND.SHE WAS VERY ARGUMENTIVE AND WAS VERY MUCH INSISTED I WAS WRONG. I AM GOING TO CONTACT ALL HIGH LEVEL MANAGEMENT TO LET THEM KNOW.IF I HAVE TO I WILL SUE THEM.THIS COMPANY IS DANGEROUS TO THE PEOPLE AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN THIS MANNER.
After watching the Video Professor commercial, I decided to order one of the CDs from VideoProfessor.com. I figured that for $6.95 (shipping charge), you can't lose.
After I placed my order I found out that by ordering a Free CD, I was automatically enrolled into a subscription service where they will be sending me other programs and billing me if I don't return them within a certain period. That was a disappointment but I decided that I will make my mind before the deadline and cancel the service if I need to.
Well, when I received my package I discovered that my "Free" lesson came not on one CD but THREE, and the third CD was not free and if I keep it I will be billed $59.95!
From that point I decided that I had enough and called to cancel everything. The customer service gave me instructions how to send the CD back and in an hour I was in my post office mailing them back.
A week later I noticed a charge on my credit card for $59.95 from Video Professor. They charged me anyway, even though I sent the CDs back.
The next two weeks I was calling and emailing to the company requesting a refund.
I would not recommend this service to anyone. Please be aware that you might not receive what you are expecting. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
I purchased a software teaching kit from videoprofessor on their online site. I was asked to "agree" to their terms and conditions. I did, in order to purchase the instruction material for $6.99. I did not realize that I was agreeing to having my credit card charged $189.99, plus having additional charges of $6.99 for ever. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS, THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOUR CREDIT CARD FOREVER. IT IS REALLY TIME-CONSUMING TO FILE A REPORT, TO FILE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD AND TO GET THESE SCAM ARTISTS ON THE PHONE. DO NOT DO IT! And make sure you read the Terms and Conditions, if you many hours to spare!
Video Professor offered a five (5) day free trial for their online computer programs. I emailed them back on the third day telling them I was not interested in this service as it did not meet my needs. I just noticed they charged my VISA account $39.95. I meet their criteria and they had no right to charge my VISA the $39.95. It appears they are using this in hopes that the consumer (us) will not see that our credit card account has been inaccurately charged. This is a scam and they are robbing the consumer. Can't their be anything done about this? I want my money back!
