Hello everyone, I'm not sure if there is the right place to share my frustration with my nearly brand new Vitamix, but I cannot keep it to myself.

Three months after using it my jar started leaking then cracked! Yes, you read it. A massive crack in the side as I was blending stones. That happened when I was making nice cream with frozen bananas. Five weeks later exchanging emails with Vitamix customer service and sorting out someone to bring me a new jar (because I currently live in Egypt and bought my Vitamix in the UK), I finally have a machine that works just as it's supposed to. Then guess what happened again, with only 6 weeks of use? While I was making sesame seed butter, I noticed that it was taking much more time to get it done than previously. So I decided to check out underneath the jar and found out that black part it was loose. I tried to tighten it up, but for some reason I couldn't, I put the jar on top of the sink and noticed it was very unstable. I cleaned the jar and found out the problem is the SAME I had with my previous jar. The hole underneath the blades it's melted and deformed! How come? I'm so frustrated; I paid 599, 00 EUROS for a blender that it's so powerful that melts its container. I cannot believe this; it's happening again. I don't care about the warranty. I did not pay this amount of money to have to repair or have it replaced every two months. It's a BIG shame. Tomorrow I have to call the customer service again and start the whole process to have my jar replaced. Who is going to take responsibility for that? Who pays my international phone calls? Who will have to arrange a person to bring a new jar again? I don't want to hear apologies from the customer service again; I want a machine that works appropriately and handles what it's supposed to.

I share your frustration. I've had my vitamix for 2 years. Been sent for repairs twice and problems still not resolved. Can't use it because the black base vibrates so much at high speed that it actually moves on the worktop. Left unattended, it would fall off it. Repaired first time and then the jug started vibrating uncontrollably at high speed. Sent for repair again and back to problem one, the base has started vibrating again. Unbelievable. Emails sent to customer service. Received reply 'message to vitamix Deleted without being read". Sent tweet to vitamix for help. Told to contact customer services and were also rude in their email. Worst purchase I've ever made and £650 down the drain.
