On the evening of Sunday June 16th between 7:45pm and 8:15pm a power surge from a nearby transformer entered our residence and burned up the microwave, television, desktop computer, kitchen range, overhead lights and four existing surge protectors. There were crackling popping sounds, electrical appliances smoking and burnt wire smells throughout the residence. It was terrifying. We initially thought the house was catching fire from this event. We notified Walton EMC after hours service line. Two Walton EMC technicians arrived shortly before dark with a boom truck and worked on the power pole/transformer for over an hour until after it became dark. They completed repairing and fixing issues on the power pole with lighting from their vehicle. After which the technicians came to the front door and claimed there was no problem with the transformer or any issue on their end. On Tuesday June 18th Georgia Electrical Techs LLC made a complete diagnostic check of the residences electrical wiring and fuse box. It is their summation that the surges were on Walton EMC end and had been repaired by Walton EMC on Sunday evening June 16th. I am enclosing a copy of Georgia Electrical Techs through diagnosis of our electrical system of our residence.

Claimed loss: HP Pavilion computer: $288.62 Hisense TV: $228.00Lithonia Lighting in kitchen: $89.00 Microwave: $122.00 GE Profile Oven: $1600.00 Three GE Pro surge protectors: $25.95Georgia Electrical Techs bill: $417.20

Desired outcome: In light of Georgia Electrical Techs diagnostic findings we would like to have all of our costs associated with the power surge reimbursed to Walton EMC customer William Fanning at 4012 Donna Lane Loganville, Georgia 30052.
