I am a truck driver, Iwas working for west side transpot when my mother (in her 70, s) was taken ill and in the ER trying to get a load home (milwaukee wi) two days i delivered a load in dixion il (my mother now in ICU) 140 miles from house, i run home, they keepet trying to give me a load out of cedar rapids to oak creek, with a needed 10 hr breek that would of been anthor 18hr or so prior to getting home so i just ran home then to the hospatil in central wi to see my mother.west side docked my pay a dollor fifty per mile then kept my last check plus refused to refund cAsh paid on tolls a light and window wash bought for truck..according to the department of labor that all was illegal let alone cold ### uncaring! according to the family act they by law are not allowed to mess with your pay given that situation or one like it envolving imediate family members.. i would sugest to any driver out there not to work for a co as such as west side when they have no concern for your family or your wellfare, , that they can mess with your pay in such away they sould not even be in buisseness.
Iwas terminated by Westside. I turned over my ID card, 30 days paperwork and my lock as I was told to do. I was told by my dispatch manager that I did not need to scan my last paperwork, I also verified this to make sure I did everything correct. Now I am told he told me the incorrect information and they will not pay me. Ithen asked to talk to someone with more authority and was told "nobody wants to talk to you" you have an attitude. I guess I do have an attitude if they are withholding my pay! Westside does not give you miles and is not the family friendly company as they let on to be. nine times out of ten the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. They just keep referring you to one person after the other and yes this is quite frustrating!
I work for West Side Transport and proud of it!
I was working for them for 12 days and my brother passed away. I called and spoke to my fleet manager, John Gant, and I was home within 2 days to be with my family!
As for the rest of the people who I met from my recruiter (Tim Liedtke) all the way to the shop guys who keep my truck running. They all seem like real nice people to me.
As far as freight and miles go I have logged just under 30, 000 miles in three months. And the freight has been nothing but consistant!
Their equipment is first rate and well maintained, if I do have a problem with my truck or trailor it doesn't take DAYS to get into the shop. I don't know what you folks think, but I think it's a great company to work for! As far as I am concerned I think West Side is the best kept secret in the trucking industry!

I worked for westside transport for 2 months bad company non payment of wages poor dispatch, I quit and they refused my last 2 paychecks
As a driver on the road, I had a driver for West Side get out of his truck and confront me in my car, screaming at me because he had turned down a narrow street and could not go any further, and I could not back my car up because I had five cars lined up behind me. OOHH, big brave man, screaming bloody murder at a 65-year old woman...
I left West Side under a Voluntary Quit and when they send the information to my next two employers, they stated that I was fired from the company for a total of four accidents while I was employed there.
