I noticed I had an unauthorized charge of $34.99 on my card at 3:00 am. I was asleep at 3. What the hell? Once I googled it and found out it was a scam, it only added fuel to the fire. Its too early to call my bank, but Im sure as hell not about to go back to sleep until I get my money back! Who ever did this, youre going to hell!

Match.com, the website for finding a date, or a mate, is owned by a parent company that owns several such "personals" sites.

Some sites are adult orientated. If you have access or an account on ANY of the parent companies websites, and you paid for access or a subscription, and you cancled it, chances are, the wvm.match.com charge appeared on your credit card, or debit card.

This has been going on for over 3 years, according to information on the internet, and the problem should have been corrected.

I was recently hit by these people for a 2nd time. yes, I got my money back, but it still cost me 5 bucks to have a new card issued, AND, a delay of 5 days, while the money was returned - and that money was slated for something else that in turn, had to wait untill payday to be able to take care of.

WMV.Match.Com should have been investigated and sued long ago.

Matchcom is a full on scam. while on the free 3 day trial, i had women emailing me, sending kisses galore, since i signed up for one month, nothing. I am a genuine guy, no hangups, secure, and above average looks. Lucky i only paid by bpay, so they have no auto debit access to my bank account. Send them a complaint email, and you just get automated replies, not even associated with what i was complaing about in the first place. I wont even bother trying to get a refund, but they have nill chance of getting anymore $ 40.00 fraudulant payments. All these dating sites have got to be shut down, even the so called free ones, dont end up free, because your emails dont get to the person until either you or they sign up. Yes, it is free to search, and set up your profile, but it's no use to anyone unless you can make contact. you might as well email yourself. Preying on people who are probably going through, or have gone through marriage breakdowns, in my opinion, is criminal, and its about time the consumer protection people got their act together all over the world and wiped it out. But i wont hold my breath waiting for that to happen. Simple answer people, is dont sign up, keep your money, and meet people via friends, and workmates.

Happened to me this morning at 5:35 AM this morning while I was sleeping! Charged to my debit card - which I never use on-line! The bank cancelled my card and is issuing a new one. They gave me the [protected] number, which I called. It was Match.com and the lady said they would refund the charge - based on my name and the last 4 digits of the card number. How did they have enough info to issue me a credit?
