Starting 21st April 2023, York University incorrectly charged my student account the amount of $3,487.55 plus other related charges for a summer course. I have been in communication with them since July 2023 to have this situation rectified without success.
Early 2024, my student account was referred to Gatestone, a collections agency and it remains with them.
On 01st February 2024 I had a virtual meeting with Dr. Ogata, then Director of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The tuition and some of the interest charges were reversed. However, there remains an outstanding balance of $192.+ that the university refuses to acknowledge.
As requested by Dr. Ogata, I forwarded a letter dated 07th June 2024 with supporting emails, outlining my concerns. I have had to communicate with many different staff members via email and telephone calls, hoping to resolve these issues but to no avail.
Claimed loss: I have not been able to return to school since September 2023 because of this outstanding balance of $192.+.
Desired outcome: Please reverse the charges of $192.+ so that I can return to classes and respond to my letter and requests dated 07th June 2024 in writing.

There seems to no accountability at York University. The last person I was communicating with is Andreanne Dibo-Amany. On Friday 06th September 2024 I forwarded an email to her, requesting a meeting this week. She has not responded. My email to her, prior to last Friday has also not received any response.
