Unpleasant Experience: Avoid 1800Dentist and Try Zoc Doc or Facebook Ads Instead
This website, 1800Dentist, is not good at all. The people who work there are not nice and they just want to take your money. I would not recommend using this service. Instead, try using Zoc Doc or Facebook ads to find a dentist.
Life-Saving Service: My Experience with 1800Dentist for Emergency Dental Care
1800Dentist is the real deal when it comes to finding a dentist in a pinch. I had a cracked tooth on a Saturday and needed an emergency appointment ASAP. I was feeling pretty stressed out and didn't know where to turn. Luckily, I stumbled upon 1800Dentist and decided to give them a try.
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use their service. All I had to do was call their number and within a few short minutes, they had found me a dentist who could see me that same day. It was such a relief to know that I didn't have to suffer through the weekend with a painful toothache.
The dentist they found for me was great. He was friendly, professional, and took care of my cracked tooth with ease. I was so grateful to have found him through 1800Dentist. They really are life savers!
Overall, I would highly recommend 1800Dentist to anyone who needs to find a dentist quickly and easily. Their service is top-notch and their staff is incredibly helpful. Thank you, 1800Dentist, for being there when I needed you the most!
Disappointing Experience with 1800Dentist: Not Helpful for Urgent Dental Care
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with 1800Dentist. I was in a lot of pain and needed a dentist ASAP, so I called them up on a Saturday afternoon hoping to find a 24 hour dentist. Unfortunately, they didn't have one available. I was pretty frustrated, but I figured I'd at least try to make an appointment for Monday.
I spent a good 15 minutes on the phone with the representative, giving them all my information and explaining that I needed a wisdom tooth pulled. Finally, they made me an appointment for Monday, but it was 35 minutes away from my home. They told me there was no one closer who could see me.
So, come Monday, I made the trek out to the dentist's office. But when I got there, they had no idea who I was. There was nothing in their system about my appointment, and to make matters worse, they didn't even pull wisdom teeth! I was beyond frustrated at this point. I had lost time at work, spent time trying to find a dentist, and now I was back to square one.
I had to figure out how to deal with my pain, so I went back to my car and called my son's dentist. They were able to take me in on Wednesday (the best they could do), and they were able to pull my tooth on site. And the best part? They were only 5 minutes away from my home! It was such a relief to finally get the help I needed.
Overall, I have to say that my experience with 1800Dentist was pretty disappointing. I lost time at work for two separate days because they weren't able to help me find a dentist who could actually help me. It was frustrating and stressful, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who needs urgent dental care.
Beware of 1800Dentist: A Scam That Targets Both Patients and Dentists
This company, 1800Dentist, is a complete scam! They not only scam the patients, but also the dentists. As a dentist myself, I was misled by one of their representatives to enroll in their referral program. They took thousands of dollars from my credit card based on lies. They charged me $200 for every patient that they referred, even if the patient didn't even pick up the phone when we called them to set up an appointment.
I want to warn everyone out there to beware of this company! They charge the doctors for every patient that they refer, which means that the dentist must charge the patient much more than normal to recover the cost of referral. And the worst part is that any dentist, good or bad, can enroll in their program as long as they pay the company their $200 dollar referral fee for each patient. This means that you could be paying much more to a dentist who nobody knows how good they are.
I strongly advise everyone not to trust this company, which is also called "FuturDontics". I am taking them to small claims court because of the damage they have caused me. Please, do not fall for their tricks and do not let them scam you too!
Beware of 1800Dentist: A Fraudulent Company Scamming Patients and Dentists
I recently had an experience with 1800Dentist and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I decided to share my experience with others so that they can be aware of the fraudulent practices of this company. Before you decide to use their services, I highly recommend that you read reviews on Yelp and Google to avoid being scammed.
When I placed my review and expressed my concerns about this company on Yelp, 1800Dentist responded by saying that they would try to resolve the issue. However, they did not call back or reach out to investigate. They only responded on Yelp to make it seem like they care about their customers.
In my opinion, this company is based on fraud. They scam both the dentist and the patient. They charge the dentist $200 for every patient that they refer. They enroll any dentist with any background, as long as the dentist pays their referral fee. On the other hand, the dentist has to charge the patient much more than the patient that just walks into the practice so he can recover the referral fee.
You may think that ultimately, the patient is the one who loses money, but that's not true. Many people call 1800Dentist when they have a dental emergency, and this usually happens during non-business hours when dental offices are closed. Once the dentist receives an email about the referred patient the next day, many of these patients are out of pain and don't even respond to the doctor's office call. This is where the poor dentist loses $200 referral fee without seeing the patient. This is exactly what happened to me. I lost thousands of dollars in fees withdrawn from my credit card for referrals that I could not even reach the patient. They did not even call back, and once I complained to 1800Dentist, their manager said, "We are sorry. This is the way we do business." And yes, this is the way they scam the poor patients and the dentist.
It's important to note that this company is being run by businessmen who are the best in scamming people. Dentists, please beware! Do not give this company your credit card number. They mislead and fool you to contract with them, and once you do, they make unauthorized charges on your credit card for non-existing or unable to reach referred patients, and you will not be able to reverse charges.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against using 1800Dentist. They are a fraudulent company that preys on both patients and dentists. Please do your research before using their services.
Implants Should Replace Dentures: A Call for Affordable Dental Care
I have been struggling with a difficult truth for some time now, and I feel like it's time to speak up. As a 67-year-old who wears dentures, I can tell you firsthand that a beautiful mouth should not be priced at buying a house. When I was younger, dentists didn't keep your teeth - they pulled them out, and as a result, I lost a lot of teeth and had to purchase a denture. Unfortunately, I lost my denture a few days ago and now have to replace it. But here's the thing: nobody today should be wearing dentures. Implants are the future, and it's 2018 - dentists should be pushing implants on everyday people instead of dentures.
The problem is that implants cost $30,000 per mouth, and not everyone can afford that. If everyone was wearing implants, we wouldn't have any need for dentures. I know I'm telling on myself here, and my vanity kept me from talking about this for a long time. But I'm bigger than my vanity, and I'm really considering doing a GoFundMe for people who need a beautiful mouth. We as Americans should not be going through this. Dentists need to stop these practices and these high prices and make implants affordable for everyone.
Some people are born with teeth on top of teeth, and they shouldn't have to feel slighted because of their teeth. Everyone should have beautiful teeth, and dentists are not doing their job. They're charging exorbitant rates, and only celebrities can afford a beautiful mouth. That's just wrong, and it needs to change. I'm going to make this a national conversation.
I'm going to start saving for new teeth, but I have to talk about it. It's been heavy on my heart for a while, and I've been very quiet about it. I pushed it aside, but I can no longer do that. Other people are suffering, I'm suffering, and the country is suffering at large because of this. Dentists need to grow a heart, stop pushing those dentures, and give people dental implants. This is the future for America, and dentists need to retire the dentures. I'm going to put this on my blog and publish it as a story for all in the world to see. This must change.
