The worst delivery service. I ordered on 20th of this month, it's almost a week now but still I didn't received my package. When i called they said it will be delivered today but not yet. Very unsatisfied. Also, unreasonable delivery charges.
Not attending repair of gas cooker
Despite regular reminders not attended since 21.12.2021. Very poor service. The distance from my house to gampaha service center of abans is less than 2km. Eveni complaint on this to colombo several times but was not successfull. I do not recommend abans products hereafter to anyone in sri lanka.

We have given to repair Elba cooker to Abans Yakkala service center on 25/10/2021.
Since still same as that unit. Then we complain via online. emails are going here and there. We paid 5000 for advanced.
Today got call and email it was ready.
But when we visited item was same as it is.

I bought an ELBA 4 GAS BURNER COOKER
with GAS OVEN -50CM -BROWN, MODEL - N55M204 on 26.11.2021 at ABANS, 498, Galle Road, Colombo -03.
My name is P.Sivapalan. Address - 42 4/3, Rudra Mw, col -06. Tel No - [protected]. My wife preffered to buy this cooker at Abans PLC at your show room in Col -03.
She is going to use this kind of unit for the first time. She knows how to operate the 04 burners. But, she doesn't know how to operate the oven & grill. Main purpose of buying this was for using oven & grill. I also don't know how to operate it.
So, we asked from the sales officer who handled it for us to explain. He said it was easy & you can do it. I said there are many cylinder & cooker explosions reported in Sri Lanka recently and we don't know how to install and use it. Also told as this is a technical matter and we therefore need assistance as we are a bit scared to do on our own without having any knowledge on this.
Then, he said you ask from the persons who will come to deliver this cooker to your place. Give some thing to them and they will help.
Today, 28.11.2021, they brought the cooker and delivered it. As he adviced, I asked them to explain. They said they don't know how to operate the oven & grill. They tried a bit but couldn't do it. Only explained the 04 burners which my wife also knows.
So, we are now unable to use the oven & grill. We don't know as I have already explained in detail. First time we are using. Now, we can't go and ask help from other companies also( like Singer, etc) because we didn't buy from them.
So, please help us by sending some technicians home to enable us to use the oven & grill. Also, to check whether we installed it properly without leaving room for any gas leaks. We are scared about gas explosions also and afraid to use it now.
Hope, you will help us as paid nearly Rs. 100, 000/- and bought this cooker from your company.
My wife is highly frustrated that she only told me to buy from your company.

I've bought an air conditioner 4 months ago and I've been asking them to do he first service for more than 15 reminders now but no one has taken action.
Desired outcome: Do the servicing on time

I have purchased the above said unit from Hatton Abans showroom on 20th May 2020.
I have noticed colour patches appearing out side of the front door, door middle, door edges and inform to The same outlet where I have being purchased.
Mr :Sasi (Salesman) contact me and send some pictures to his way through whatsapp.
Later on he said that these colour patches may be production defect as just after one year of sale,
Further to him that he send toservice center (F0079) 0n 23.10.2021. Also said that company will call to your way.
Now already 3 weeks passed away but no answer from them and contact Manager of Hatton Abans again and he said that he will inform to them.
Now colour patches will grow little by little and I wonder why this issue with paint.
Also I have few fridges (SINGER brand) purchased 10 years before but nothing to worry paint or function.
Air conditioning services repairs
One of the worst organisations in the world for after sales care, once they have your money their technicians and management do not provide any form of assistance. Their call centre lines go un-answered, their technicians are a hit or a miss, miss most of the time. Cannot do installations properly, have to keep calling for a new visit. A/C PCB has been with them over a week now and my server room is heating up due to this and is costing me money to rent a third party server. Utterly un-professional. There is zero customer care from abans. Their sales staff are ok.
Desired outcome: Speedy and quick responseS to consumer complaints and breakdowns, more competent employees and management

Defected items delivered as free offers
I have online purchased a Greentel A8 tab with a free offer if KGTEL K2171 mobile phone 28/9/21 via buyabans online service(order number C0068427).
Unfortunately the delivered phone was defected and it was not working properly. Following the complaint without any hesitation your company agreed to replace it. Today i got the replacement but it also has the same problem. I made another complaint to regarding this but did not get any satisfactory response.
The item is a free offer but not giving anything is better than such offers with defected items.
I am really disappointed regarding this matter. I have been an Abans customer for nearly 5-6 years and no longer wish to have deals or to recommend your company for any reason even though it may an impact on your company.
I have had several issues with delay in delivery dates of items previously as well
Please consider this matter and do the needful.
(I have video recordings and photos of malfuctioning both the old and replaced phones.

I brought laptop from abans. After six months the harddisk failed. I send my laptop to abans service centre on 10th august 2021. But abans unable to repair it until now. This laptop is using for online studying of my son.
So please do not buy any electrical equipment from abans.

Products not delivered on time
I ordered an electric PHILIPS Wet or Dry Electric Shaver, Product Code:
PHSHVS122345WS (Price LKR 8, 190.00) on 25thAugust via online platform and the same day I received a message stating that the package is in transit and I will be contacted shortly to notify the details.
Since then there was no information in this regard and hence I called three time (1st, 3rd and 5th September, 2021). The person answered the phone promised to get back to me with information on delivery, but I didn't hear from them so far. On 5th I expressed willingness to collect it from the showroom.
I also e mailed twice 28 August and 2 September with no reply. This is the level of customer service of Abans and I am sorry to say that it has come to such a low level.
I ordered this to give as a present and If I will not be receiving it in the next couple of days, I have no use for it. Please let me know whether I can cancel my order if you are unable to deliver this. I am aware of the situation in the country but then you should have mentioned in your website that delivery will be delayed more than a week. Then the customer can make a decision.
I bought a number of things from Abans including a laptop ordered through the website and this was the first time such a delay occurred.
I think at least the customer should receive an answer upon inquiry.

I have recently bought an LG air conditioner from your Anuradhapura Abans elite showroom and now its not working. For the last five days I was trying to get some one to have it checked from your service center since its under the warrenty period
But none of them replied to my request.
Therefore today I called your hotline number and told the same thing about my air conditioner's fault and the person who answered the call took a great care of my issue and filed a complaint and accordigto him he directed it to the anuradhapura shaowroom or service centre. He told to me that there will be some one calling me today regarding the issue . But still no one answered. Im so frustrated about your service.
If I didn't get a response to this e mail or complaint ill use every possible ways to convey this to everyone every way I can saying not to use your service any more.

I purchased 06 x 18 BTU and 02 x 24 BTU AC units for my residence. this was 3 years ago. before purchasing I repeatedly asked if we will get good after sales service. the answer "WE ARE ABANS, WE WILL GIVE THE BEST SERVICE EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS"
I have been trying to get my units serviced and it is a nightmare. Calling your service center keeps you on hold for more than an hour.
It is frustrating when you pay a high price for a product and than when you do not get a after sales service how good the product is it is useless for us as a customer.

I bought a whirlpool refrigerator from your thambuttegama branch. But now I settled in wariyapola. Before two month ago I made a complain about a defect of my refrigerator and after two months of my complain finally they attended my complain and servicing crew called me. They asked me to pay rs.3850 as a visiting charge and told me that other expenses are remain same.

Washing machine motor not working
I have purchased a 15Kg capacity washing machine in Kalmunai -Sri Lanka in September 2020 to fulfill 5 member family laundry requirements since last March particular machine shows abnormal in working and then started complaining to the nearest Kalmunai branch and the technician attended after 3 weeks and diagnosted that Motor of the machine is not working and advised to contact branch and he did the needful. Later I have visited 3 times to the branch but so far no responded, We 6 member family really need washing machine unless its drastically effect the family daily needs so please take necessary action.
