Buyer Beware: Misleading Black Friday Deal for LG OLED 77" TV
So, I was really keen on getting myself an LG OLED 77" TV, but man those things were definitely out of my price range. That's when I stumbled across ABC TV's website, and they had this unbelievable Black Friday deal that sounded like a dream come true. You know what they say - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But I took a chance and called up their store to confirm whether it was the same TV model that's sold in major retailers like Best Buy. They assured me that it was, and that they were just a wholesaler, which makes it cheaper for them to sell the TV.
So, I placed my order and got a confirmation email, but the next day, my order was cancelled. Of course, this shocked and confused me, and I called up their customer service to find out what was going on. They explained to me that the shipper they were using to get the TV to my area often had the habit of breaking too many TVs. So, they suggested I go with another shipper - but this one was asking for $125 just for shipping! I was, of course, starting to feel skeptical about the whole thing.
Then, as I spoke to their representative more, they dropped a bombshell on me - the TV they were selling wasn't the same model as the one I saw in other retail stores. In fact, it was a TV that was made with specs from foreign countries and wasn't even suited for watching TV programs! I was astounded and asked them why this information wasn't mentioned anywhere on their website, and the rep basically told me that I didn't search for the TV the right way. Apparently, if I had gone to their website first and then looked for the TV, I would have seen that they were selling two different models.
I consider myself lucky that they didn't send me this bogus TV in the first place, considering how much they would have charged me for returns - $750! I guess some people might be okay with what they're selling, but I wasn't impressed. To be honest, I'm still on the lookout for an LG OLED TV at an affordable price, but I guess I'll have to keep hunting.
Unreliable Shipment & Warranty: My Experience with Abc TV (abctvs.com)
I had a not so great experience with Abc TV (abctvs.com). They really took me for a ride, delaying my shipment and then giving me a lesser performing TV than I originally ordered. And when I called to complain, they tried to get me to spend even more money to upgrade to a newer model of the TV I wanted. They said they would throw in a five year extended warranty if I paid an extra $300 for the upgrade. I was really hesitant at first, but I thought it might be worth it for the peace of mind. So I checked out their warranty policy and found that I could get an in-home warranty for the same price as the carry-in warranty they had offered. I called them back and they agreed to change it, but when I got my email statement, the policy was still for the carry-in warranty! So I called back again and they finally agreed to make the change, but then told me that the policy was only for an LCD TV, not the LED one I had purchased. They wanted another $250 for the in-home upgrade, even though it had already been agreed to by an Ebuy rep. I was so frustrated at this point and almost gave in, but I had already spent so much money on the TV upgrade that I couldn't justify spending even more. So I suggest you be very careful when dealing with Abc TV. They don't always follow through on their promises and their warranty codes are really confusing. And if you don't call them to check on your shipment, they might just keep you waiting forever! Plus, their "free" extended warranty is not worth the price they quote you. I did some research and found this article that might be helpful if you're considering an extended warranty: https://www.cnet.com/news/are-tv-extended-warranties-worth-it/.
Misleading Prices and Sneaky Marketing Tactics by ABC TV
So, I came across ABC TV’s website and the prices seemed good to me. However, when I added a TV to my cart, the price jumped by a whole $200! What’s up with that? I wasn’t going to just sit around and let it slide by, so I gave their customer service a call.
I got a hold of a guy named “Al” who didn't even acknowledge my question about the price difference. Instead, he went straight into a sales pitch for a more expensive model which, supposedly, was manufactured in Mexico instead of Asia and was therefore better quality. What was he even talking about? My research shows that all the OLED panels for LG originate from South Korea, and all sub-components come from China & Taiwan, with final assembly happening in Mexico just because of NAFTA. So, what was the difference?
I also wondered why the site listed lower quality merchandise without even labeling it as “commercial”. It just seemed like a sneaky way of bringing in more customers. Like, “Hey, come in and check things out! Oh, but if you want something that’s actually worth your time and money, come talk to us directly and we’ll give you the real deal.”
I really didn’t appreciate that. Why do I have to contact them directly and ask for a secret SKU number just to see the real price and better goods? That’s not the way customer service works!
Anyway, I wasn’t going to fall for that trick, and instead decided to trust my instincts and find something better elsewhere. Keep working on improving your business practices, ABC TV. There’s a long road ahead of you.
Beware of Abctvs Dot Com: A Shady and Unscrupulous Vendor
Abctvs dot com is one of the dodgiest websites on the internet, and I am not saying this just to be mean or anything. I bought a TV from them before, and I knew what I was getting into, but this time around, I just couldn't.
Here's the deal, folks. They list a product twice, and the first listing is way cheaper than any other site, so that Google and other search engines rank them at the top. But the second listing is way more expensive than any other store selling the same TV. And if you purchase after finding them on the web, they email you, asking you to verify the shipping details. But what they are actually doing is trying to upgrade you to the more expensive version of the same TV, which is the one they should have been displaying in the first place.
The moment you challenge them, the person on the other side of the phone gets rowdy and even hangs up on you! Why? Because they want to make sure that you don’t dispute the fact that they are trying to scam you into buying the upgraded version which is “superior” to the TV you were looking for. But the truth of the matter is that the TV you want is far better than their alleged upgraded version.
This unscrupulous vendor will even go to the extent of claiming that the TV I had ordered was made from low-quality components that could easily break or be affected by screen burn or any other damage. And when you choose to insist on getting the original purchase, they cancel your order. I had bought two OLEDs the first time and thought of trying my luck again, but my conscience told me it wasn't right. As usual, I was met with a barrage of lies and high-pressure tactics from the people running this website.
I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this treacherous site unless you enjoy being lied to and deceived by shady operators who don’t care about their customers. Proceed with caution.
Misleading Prices and Products at Abc TV: An Honest Review
So, I ordered this TV from Abc TV and I was really excited when it arrived super fast. The box was in good shape and everything looked really good. Plus, the TV was about $200 cheaper than other places so I was feeling pretty good about my purchase.
But then, I found out that the price I saw on Google shopping wasn't exactly true. When I called customer service to make sure my order was good, they told me that there were two types of TVs and that the one I ordered was a "B" version that was made by different companies using non-standard parts. They said that the "A" version was made by LG and that it was better, but it cost more money. I didn't really believe them, but I went ahead and paid for the better version anyway since it was still cheaper than other places.
After I received the TV, I contacted LG to see if there really was an "A" and "B" type. They confirmed that there wasn't and that all their TVs are made to the same quality no matter where they're sold. They also said that Abc TV isn't an authorized seller for LG products.
Overall, I'm happy with the TV I received from Abc TV, but I don't really appreciate the "Bait and Switch" methods they used to get me to pay more money. It would have been a better experience if they were just honest about their products and prices.
ABCtvs Review: Sketchy Business with Frustrating Communication
I was pretty disappointed with my experience with ABCtvs. I ended up placing an order about 10 days ago and never received a shipping notification, nor did the company even attempt to charge my credit card. So, I decided to give them a call to see what was going on. After speaking with someone, I got the impression that ABCtvs is running their business out of their home or something, since their communication seemed to only be through iPhones. I did some digging and found out that their domain claim to be based in Delaware, but one site said it could be registered in Canada.
I was feeling a bit uneasy about the whole situation, so I decided to call my credit card company to be safe. They told me that they had already been notified and are walking me through the steps to ensure that the transaction isn't fraudulent. They reassured me that I am protected.
The next day, ABCtvs cancelled my order without even notifying me! I was incredibly nice on the phone, so I know this isn't a "problem customer" issue. I did mention that my credit card doubles the warranty after I register the TV with Samsung, so I suspect ABCtvs didn't want to deal with that since my credit card has tight fraud protection. But that's just my guess.
Anyway, here's a recap of how my calls were handled:
First, I spoke with the "sales dept" at 12:15PM on Dec. 19th. They told me that my order was tied up in verification, but they would remove the extended warranty policy for me (although the Samsung warranty would still be in effect). They transferred me to Al so he could help get my order shipped right away. However, I was on hold for about 20 minutes and was eventually cut off.
So, I called back and pressed 1 for "sales" again. But it took 15 rings before someone even answered. I was transferred to Jack, who said they were waiting for a shipment and would cancel the extended warranty they promised me. He said they would hopefully ship it out by the end of the week.
Before I talked to Jack, I also called about a half hour earlier and pressed 2 for "customer service," but no one answered the line the whole time I was on hold.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend ABCtvs. It just seems too sketchy to me, and their communication (or lack thereof) was pretty frustrating. Maybe they'll get better in the future, but based on my experience, good luck to anyone else who decides to order from them.
Scam Alert: My Terrible Experience with ABC TVs - Avoid at All Costs
So, let me tell you about my terrible experience with ABC TVs. I was really excited to get my hands on a LG C9 TV, and ABC TVs seemed like the only place that had it in stock new. I didn't bother looking up anything about the company, which was my first mistake.
After placing my order, I started to get worried when I didn't receive a tracking number the next day (red flag #1). When I checked the reviews, I was even more convinced that this was a scam (red flag #2). The positive reviews were just too inconsistent. And to make matters worse, their return policy was outrageous - they charged $750 no matter what you return, even if it's not what you ordered (red flag #3).
Less than 24 hours after placing my order, I called to cancel it. But of course, they gave me the same old story. They claimed it had already been "shipped" from Amazon, so I would have to cover part of the shipping cost to cancel it. But I knew that was a lie, because I had checked with Amazon before ordering and they didn't have it in stock (at least not for a new C9).
The whole situation was comical, to be honest. They were trying so hard to scam me and I wasn't falling for it. Thankfully, I disputed the charge with my credit agency and they blocked it. They even warned me against making any purchases from ABC TVs in the future.
So take my advice and steer clear of this company. Don't listen to the "good" reviews, because they're probably fake. ABC TVs is nothing but a headache and definitely not worth the trouble.
Unreliable and Dishonest: My Experience with Abc TV's Website (abctvs.com)
So, I recently ordered a grill from abc TV's website (abctvs.com). I gotta say, I wasn't too thrilled with the whole process. I mean, I ordered the Weber Summit E-670 on November 4th, and I never got a final review of the charge or even an email confirmation. What gives? Anyway, I was planning on calling them the next day to clear things up, but then I got a call from a sales guy named Joe. He asked me if I wanted the propane or gas line version of the grill, and I was like, "propane, duh." But get this - he tells me there's an upgraded version of the grill. Apparently, the 2019 model has some fancy features, like lighted knobs and handle lights. Plus, it's made of stronger metal and comes almost fully assembled. For only $150 more, I went ahead and upgraded to the newer version.
But then, I started to get suspicious. I did some research and found that the descriptions of the 2018 and 2019 models on their website were identical. So, I texted Joe and told him that I didn't see a reason to pay more for the same exact features. He told me the website was wrong and that the 2019 model was definitely better. Hm, okay buddy. After the grill was delivered, I tried to register it for the warranty, but couldn't find the serial number anywhere! It wasn't on the box, the grill, or the owner's manual. So strange. I contacted Weber's website directly to ask about the differences between the two models, and was told that they're actually identical. What the heck?
Apparently, this is a common problem with abctvs.com - they'll pull this bait and switch type thing to get you to pay more for nothing. After I told Joe about the missing serial number and the fact that there weren't actually any differences between the grills, I asked for a $150 refund and the serial number so I could register the thing. But I never heard back from him. Ugh. Needless to say, I won't be ordering anything from these guys again.
Solid Experience Shopping at ABCTVS.com: Review of an LG C8 OLED TV Purchase
I gotta say, my experience shopping at ABCTVS.com was pretty solid. Getting the best deal online takes some effort, but it's worth it. Consumer electronics are notorious for having options that aren't exactly on the up and up, so it's important to know what you're about to get yourself into before making a decision. I recently bought an LG C8 65" OLED TV and the site had two options. I called up ABCTV customer service to figure out the differences and the guy I spoke with was very clear about what I could expect from both options. He didn't even try to convince me to buy the more expensive option, so that was pretty cool. I ended up buying the TV online with a $25 credit and paid extra for Second Day service, because let's face it, the longer your package sits around in the distribution system, the more bad things can happen. When the carrier arrived for delivery, I asked if I could pick it up from a local hub, but they were reluctant and I eventually agreed to have it delivered to my home. When the carrier was unloading the TV from the back of the van, a piece of packing foam fell out, but thankfully, the box inside was still intact and undamaged.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the experience and believe that I received excellent service. I did my homework and made an informed decision before purchasing, and I got exactly what I paid for at a price below market. It takes some effort, but if you're willing to put in the time, it's worth it. If you don't want to do the work, though, and just want to easily buy something, you can always go to a place like SAMS CLUB, COSCO, BEST BUY, or even Walmart, but you'll probably end up paying more, even before state and local sales tax (which can be another 7 to 11 percent or more, depending on where you live).
One final tip I want to give is regarding unpacking a large format OLED TV. The box actually includes specific instructions with illustrations on how to get the panel out of the carton and to its location in your home. I strongly suggest following the directions exactly, because these TVs are mostly glass and delicate. If you're not comfortable with DIY stuff, then hire someone who knows their stuff and save yourself a lot of frustration.
All in all, I would definitely recommend ABCTVS.com to a friend (as long as they're a cool friend).
Mixed results from ABCTVs.com: Correct TV, but damaged packaging and missing accessories, poor customer service. 2/5 stars
I got me an LG OLED TV from ABCTVs.com on Labor day (Monday). When I got the invoice, it was all automated, had the model number and the price, and my info. But, ain't no payment info or estimated shipping info on it. So, I decided to wait 'till Tuesday for a shipping confirmation email, but did not get any. I waited further till Wednesday till I decided to call ABCTVs.com, waited for 5-6 minutes and a salesman answered. I told him about my order, and he said that he needed to transfer me to "Jack". Jack took me through my order, then said to me "Hey, looks like you ordered the 8-bit OLED, you ordering this for business purposes, right?". I had never heard of 8-bit designation before for a TV. It also did not say anything about it on their site, so I was confused. Jack said to me "Yo, 8-bit ain't as bright/clear as the 10-bit models. Retailers like Best Buy sell 10-bit models, while 8-bit models are for businesses. If you want the 10-bit model, it'll cost $400 extra." I was skeptical and wanted more details. I asked Jack about the 10-bit version on a different OLED series. He said to me that he could get me a new one for $60 more than what I paid earlier, which was $1339. He said that the TV would be new, in the original manufacturer packing and he would throw in a wall mount. He said that the TV would arrive on the weekend, and I should receive an email with the tracking number. Lucky for me, I received the email shortly afterward, and it estimated delivery by Friday.
Friday arrived, and guess what? The TV arrived and everything went south. Upon opening the boxes, I discovered that the Styrofoam packaging was broken and falling apart. The TV had Styrofoam debris all over it. It was as if there was no TV wall mount included. When I checked further, the remote for the TV was gone! That's not all, the TV stand also had some visible damage. So, I decided to turn the TV on and test it out with a universal remote. Luckily, there wasn't any burn-in, and I thought it was working fine. However, when I saw it later, I discovered several areas on the screen that had scuffs and scratches. I tried calling ABCTVs.com, but found out that they were closed until Monday, as it was Friday evening. I decided to follow up with them through email, which I did on both Friday and Saturday, asking for their assistance. It's Tuesday today, and I'm yet to get a reply from them.
Did I get the right TV model? Yes, they delivered me the correct TV. But it was looking like everything was not true, 8-bit and 10-bit? Why hide this on the website, just to up-sell people on the phone? I'm giving them only two stars for sending me the right TV model and shipping it quickly. However, I ordered a replacement LG magic remote through Amazon, and bought a wall mount through Harbor Freight, which cost me an additional hundred dollars. Those two were supposed to be included with the TV. At the end of the day, I believe I saved around $400 by buying the used TV with scuff marks instead of buying a new one from Walmart.com or eBay. The TV works fine, and I can't detect any marks on it when watching television. If I could go back in time, I would have bought from somewhere else. It's probable things might go right for the next person, but it's not something I would recommend. If ABCTVs.com responds and solves my issue, then I won't hesitate to update my review and improve my rating.

Beware of ABC TV: Shady Business Practices and Fraudulent Charges
I gotta say, my experience with ABC TV (abctvs.com) was less than desirable. Let me tell you, I was on the hunt for a good deal, and stumbled upon two TVs that seemed like unbeatable prices. So naturally, I jumped on it and used a brand spankin' new credit card for both purchases.
The first TV arrived after a month, and I was pretty stoked. That was, until I ripped off the packaging and realized the thing looked like it had been used for years. Not only that, but when I opened up the panel, it was clear that someone had replaced the original with some kinda Asian panel. Not a good look, and the image quality was straight up terrible. This was supposed to be a Sony 75" 940D - not even close.
The second TV was a whole different story. The company delayed shipment for over a month, and at that point, I knew I had to cancel. See, most credit cards will only cover you for 30 days, so you gotta act fast if something's off. And boy, was something off. Turns out, my credit card was a total fraud - someone had racked up charges in four different states, using numbers from the credit card used for that second TV purchase to steal nearly $2,000 from me. And wouldn't you know it, I've never even been to California.
This is some shady stuff, man. ABC TV might lure you in with their jaw-dropping prices, but don't be fooled. They're just trying to get their grubby little hands on your credit card information so they can take you for all you're worth. Stay away, folks. This is straight up Mafia-level stuff.
Unreliable and Dishonest: My Review of ABCTV's Website
Abc TV's website, abctvs.com, may seem like a great place to order TVs, but my recent experience has left me less than satisfied. I had ordered a TV and was promised delivery on Friday, March 1st. However, when I spoke to FedEx and tracked the package, it was clear that the TV was not going to be delivered as promised. I promptly contacted Jack Hailey from ABCTV's and requested a full refund.
This issue is not just about the failed delivery, but also about the fact that my wife and I had attempted to cancel the order several times. On February 27th, I tried to cancel the order in the afternoon, but was told it had already shipped - which was not true. The next day, on February 28th, my wife called in the morning and was also told it had shipped, which was also a lie. Someone from ABCTV's even requested a shipping label that same day, but this doesn't mean the TV had actually been shipped. A SHIPPING LABEL ISN'T CONSIDERED TO BE SHIPPED, which is very frustrating.
I'm disappointed that ABCTV's isn't register with BBB and as a result of my experience, I will be reporting them to the New Jersey state attorney's office. Overall, this experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a TV from ABCTV's.
Poor Communications and Lack of Transparency from Abc TV: My Experience
I gotta say, I've been waiting nearly a week for my TV from Abc TV (abctvs.com) and all I got was a lousy email saying my order was "processing". I had no idea what that meant so I called those guys up. After waiting on hold for what felt like forever, I finally got through to someone in Delaware who informed me that my order was canceled because they didn't have any more TVs in stock. They said they would let me know if and when more came in.
So I asked them, "are these TVs and components the same as if I were to buy directly from LG?" and they said yes. Hmmph, who knows if that's true or not.
Now listen, I get it, things happen, but a little communication goes a long way. Why don't these guys update their website to let their customers know that certain items aren't in stock? And what about sending out an email after a couple of days to say, "hey, sorry, we can't process your order right now." It's the little things, you know?
It's like they've got this great business model where they advertise TVs that they don't even have in stock and that may or may not actually get to you, all at a "great" price. And if your order gets canceled, don't worry, they won't tell you. It's like they want us to call and complain and leave bad reviews. I don't have that kind of time.
Anyway, I'm just a little disappointed with the poor communications and lack of transparency from Abc TV. I'm not sure I'll shop with them again.

My Experience with Abc TV: A Warning for Potential Buyers!
So, I came across this site called Abc TV while searching on Google Shopping for a sweet LG OLED TV. Let me tell you, I was so excited to finally get my hands on that TV! But, I soon realized the experience buying from Abc TV wasn't all that great.
After ordering the TV, I got an email asking me to call them. When I did, someone on the other end started talking about OEM vs non-OEM units and tried to get me to pay extra for an OEM build. I read on Reddit that other customers received similar calls too. It was kinda shady, you know?
Anyway, I waited for 3 days after ordering and then got an email containing the shipping tracking info. But when I checked the tracking number, it still showed that the item hasn't been picked up by the shipping carrier. That made me worried, so I sent them an email asking to cancel the order and get my refund back. But guess what? I never got a response from them!
I was so disappointed and had to dispute the charges with my Credit Card Bank. It's a good thing I found some other vendor to buy my TV from.
And let me tell you another thing, the reviews for Abc TV seem fake too. It's like I can't even trust reviews shown by Google anymore. So, I would suggest that you go with a vendor that you already know, someone who doesn't seem to be running scams or be a fly-by-night company.
That's all from me. Hopefully, my experience will help someone else make a better decision while buying a TV!
Buyer Beware: My Experience with abctvs.com
So, I was browsing the interwebs looking for a new big screen TV and boy was I happy when I stumbled upon abctvs.com. Their price was a good $1,000 cheaper than any other deal I could find.
Now, let me tell you, my Daddy always said that when something seems too good to be true, it probably is. So, I decided to give them a call to see what the deal was.
It took a hot minute to get someone on the phone because apparently it's just one dude running the show. When I finally got through, I asked him how he could possibly sell at such a low price. He tried to tell me that he was a big operation with lower margins, but ain't nobody buying that BS. His price is way too low for that to be true.
Next thing I knew, he was trying to get me to place my order online and promised that it would ship out right away. According to him, there were two of the TVs in stock at a warehouse in Edison, NJ and he even offered free shipping. But instead of taking him up on that, I asked if I could pick it up instead since Edison ain't too far from me. He tried to talk me out of it by saying that I'd have to pay sales tax in Jersey, but I didn't care. I was still ready to make the drive.
So, he gave me an address to go to in Edison and I hopped in my car and headed out there. But when I arrived at the address he gave me, I realized it was a vacant lot. That's when I knew my Daddy was right - if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
And let me tell you, I think this dude is pulling a fast one with all those five star reviews on his site. I wouldn't be surprised if he posted them himself.
So y'all, take my advice and be careful shopping on abctvs.com. It's a bit sketchy if you ask me.
Beware of ABC TV Website: Scam Alert!
This Abc TV website is like, totally a scam! Can you believe that they didn't even bother to reply to my five freaking email requests, yo? I was hella confused why my invoice didn't even have my own name on it, and when I finally got in touch with them, they just said that my stuff was chilling in spam. Like, okay, but you could've at least apologized, right?
Honestly, I think these dudes are up to something shady. They offer these TV's at like, ridiculously low prices, and the whole thing seems like a trap for unsuspecting customers. And when I tried calling their local number, it was like, totally out of order! What's up with that, man?
The 866 number does work, but the peeps on the other side of the line are like, three dudes from NYC who sound like they just wanna pass the phone between each other. They don't really seem to care about helping you out, they just wanna appear legit. And then they're like, "Oh, we'll put you on a notice list for when the TV comes back in stock." But like, they don't even ask for any contact details or nothing! What kind of shady business is this?
And don't even get me started on how rude they are! They got these well-rehearsed lines about how it's my browser's cookies that messed up my invoice. Like, bro, seriously? That's your excuse?
Honestly, if you made the mistake of trusting these dudes, you better change your passwords and credit card info, 'cause who knows what they're capable of. And don't forget to leave a review about your experience so other homies don't fall for their BS. I'm telling you, those five-star reviews are just a cover-up for their consistent negative feedback.
Bottom line: this company is a big ol' fake scam, so you should like, totally avoid them. Enough said.
ABC TV (abctvs.com) Review: Scam Artists, Terrible Picture Quality, and Zero Customer Service
So listen up folks, I gotta tell you about my experience with ABC TV (abctvs.com) and it ain't a good one. First off, I didn't think twice about there not being an address listed. That's a super red flag, but I was too excited to get my new TV to care. When I called to order, the salesman immediately started pushing the non-commercial and non V-chip options, which were a lot more expensive. Classic bait and switch, right? But I still went ahead and got the cheaper one.
Here's where it gets even worse. When I tried to return the TV, the phone number they gave me was for a completely different company that claimed they had no connection to ABC TV's. And don't even get me started on calling their customer service line. Trying to get someone to answer, let alone help me, took forever. And when someone finally did answer, all I got was a run-around with no real results.
Let's talk about the TV itself. The picture quality was terrible - not sharp at all and lots of flutter. And even though I paid for the cheaper option, the TV still cost me more than it should have - complete scam artists. And when they mention 6 bit panels and 10 bit channels (for more money, of course), you need to take that warning seriously. I must have gotten a 6 bit panel because the picture quality was totally unacceptable.
In the end, it took over a dozen emails and jumping through all sorts of hoops just to get a return label. And then they had the nerve to ask me to pay almost $300 to ship it back! I'm telling you folks, this was the worst buying experience I've ever had. Don't waste your time or money with ABC TV (abctvs.com).
ABCTVs.com Review: Deceptive Sales Practices & Fraud Alert
So, I wanted to let everyone know about my experience with ABCTVs.com. I bought a TV from them and everything seemed good at first. But then a few days after the purchase, one of their representatives called to confirm the delivery, which was supposed to be white glove service.
However, the representative told me that I was receiving an "8-bit LG TV" and that it was typically sold to businesses, but not recommended for home use. When I asked for clarification on what "8-bit" meant, the rep couldn't give me a straight answer and then tried to up-sell me on a 10-bit version for an additional $600.
Naturally, I was suspicious of this and did a quick Google search, which turned up numerous stories of ABCTv's up-sell scam. I tried to email them to confirm the model number and warranty, but they never responded. I even tried to cancel my order, but to no avail.
Overall, the service was terrible and it makes me wonder why they haven't been indicted for false advertising, deceptive sales practices, and fraud. I think it's only a matter of time.
Beware of Abc TV: Disappointing Experience and False Advertising for LG OLED TV
So, I came across this website called Abc TV, abctvs.com. They had an ad for an LG 77" OLED TV for a pretty sweet deal of $3,649! So, naturally, I decided to check out their online reputation. I found some reviews on sitejabber.com and everything sounded okay to me. I placed my order and awaited the arrival of my new TV.
But, as luck would have it, things did not go as planned. I received a call from them on the weekend, probably because they don't work normal hours like the rest of us. The person on the other end told me that I had ordered a unit made by "an LG subcontractor in China, which they use only during high season". This unit apparently had a display that was not as good as what LG normally makes. But, they had a "good" unit they could sell me for $4,999 instead. Now, call me skeptical, but I found this to be quite an unlikely story. After all, there are only a few large OLED display makers in the world, so it seems highly unlikely that their factories would go on/off "as needed". But, because they had already accepted my order, I insisted on maintaining the same one. They said it would arrive in about 14 days.
When I called them after 14 days, things just got even weirder. They told me that the unit I had ordered was a "hotel version". What does that even mean? They started to tell me all sorts of gibberish about power consumption and stuff I didn't understand. I have a college degree in engineering and have worked in the electronics industry for 30 years, but this stuff was just beyond me. They didn't even have a delivery date anymore and suggested that I should wait indefinitely until a hotel ordered 100 units so that they could add mine.
At that point, I just couldn't take it anymore. I decided to cancel my order and go elsewhere for my new TV. I mean, who knows what kind of circus would come to town next if I went through with it. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed in my experience with Abc TV. They seemed like a good place to make a purchase at first, but it all went downhill pretty quickly. Avoid at all costs, folks!
ABC TV Review: Incessant Background Music Spoils Viewing Experience
I gotta say, my experience with ABC TV (abctvs.com) has been pretty disappointing. Like, seriously, what's with all the music in the background during the TV programs? Every morning, I tune in because the stuff that's coming up sounds interesting, but then it's just all this music and I can barely hear what anyone is saying. It's a total bummer, man.
And don't even get me started on Friday night and 20/20. I always want to see those interesting programs, but then it's just music, music, music in the background. I end up turning it off because I can't even hear what's happening. It's such a letdown.
ABC, come on, you're killing your own programs with all this loud music in the background. Like, seriously, do you think people are going to stick around when they can't even hear what's being said? I sure won't. I've stopped watching ABC TV altogether because of all the unnecessary noise pollution.
I've been meaning to speak up about this for months, but I've just been too busy with work. But seriously, ABC, you need to get your act together. If you want people to keep watching your shows, cut the music and let us actually enjoy the stories.
