Hello Sir,

I was job less more then one year and i left the Saudi Arabia in March 2021. My Iqama is also finish and i am not come back to Saudi. I alraedy park the car NXD 6217 Yaris in the Lateef Jameel parking. I don't have money to pay instalment. So please close my file.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com sales representative - car order

Greetings,

I have made a request for the Lexus NX from the representative in Riyadh.

What they communicated to me is that it was available. Then they said it was sold out and that they made a request for it and awaiting the next shipment. I keep following up with them but they keep postponing and giving false promises. I made it clear to them from the start that i need a car asap and they said it will be provided.

This has been happening for over 10 weeks now and still i am waiting. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Lexus has always been about luxury and what i went through is the exact opposite.

I am very disappointed. I did not get the car nor was i able to find an alternative due to their false promises.

I hope that lexus takes my compliant seriously and an action is made.

Respected Team, Today i go to khurais road, riyadh, sa branch to get my renewed registration vehicle/ istamara.
The desk support person ask me to pay 100. I said no there is no payment for get renewed istamara as i knew it. I refused to pay than he did not issue me istamara and said our printers not working.

Dear ALJ,

I would like to bring to your kind attention as my visit to the above service center proved unsatisfactory and bitter experience. I visited here as on prior appointment confirmation received for Periodic Maintenance service campaign for SR 219, under this service I requested 2 additional below services to be performed as an opportunity visiting to center, and payable (not free), which was later not performed and turned down.

- Replacement of 1 engine foundation (front, right) - requested but not done, refused.
- fixing of front tire rim cover - Request but not done, refused.

Upon receiving back my car i was literally broken as my above request was turn down upon given stipulated time, this was a first of its kind experience to me from ALJ service centers, very disappointed, and loss of time, energy. I never had such in the past I visited other centers as well.

Another issued added to my woes was the washing of car that was done only from external, internal engine was not cleaned and washed (attached pictures FYI)

I request ALJ in future to accept requested services from customers, for me as an expatriate, it takes hard time to take permission from my employer and visit your service center. Now its not possible for me to visit you center again and my car above 2 issues are still unresolved. I appreciate if ALJ can favor me by arranging to perform replacing of one foundation rubber this week, i will be very grateful.

lastly, i recommend if the ALJ service advisors also at the center if they can be more proactive and customer friendly then problems and issues we come with could have been more easily addressed and resolvable, as this time the advisor for me was so busy and hectic in his schedule so couldn't detail on service i understand that it was due to the weekend target to be closed but eventually it is the we customer who is affected.

Thanks for considering our suggestions and our issues as we are always with ALJ and want ALJ to be the best among all and steady and if the services are steeping then we/I cannot afford to see this happen whose service i am benefiting from the past 10 years so for this reason is this feedback, and not to be solemnly treated as a complaint.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com vehicle service complaint

Hi,

I have owned Prado 2015 model and had 3 years warranty. I had put a complaint about my vehicle for the pick up and sound in every service which they initially said, its not a major complaint. When I went to the service two weeks ago in Olaya (Riyadh) service center and found a very good mechanic and he draw my car and identified the issue said the issue mostly on gear. Now after the vehicle warranty is over, they asked me to change something in the gear which is quiet expensive..

I would need to talk to your senior manager and address the issue.

I had an accident before last 2 month in April i cintact services provider in abdullah latif jameel center they we dont have spear part right we order that from jaoan niw almost months finihed i have concern person but no answer dont say that becuse of ramdan this happen i already call him so many time but ni response so kindly please when i get giod response form your department and when i get my car bumber.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com illegal towing of car from house parking..

Just asking about illegal towing of my Toyota Yaris 2017, I just skipped 2 months for my monthly payment because of salary issue from my company, then last february they took my car from our parking lot without informing us, after 1 day i found my car in toyota abdulatif jamil warehouse and want me to pay 3, 600 sar to release my car, then after i pay, the company who took my car also want me to pay 1400 sar for their towing fee. so in total i paid all those amount to release my car. My question is why they need to harassing and treatening me and putting GPS to loacte my car.is it legal here in saudi arabia? when they took my car all my things belongings even my wallet and iqama are there all my report and laptop also inside my car. pls give us advice how to complain.

Good morning!
I am Roland owner of Toyota Fortuner 2010, I brought the car yesterday to TOYOTA center near Mall of Dahran to change oil and filters.
I met one service advisor named Ahmed ( I think he is an egyptian) having mobile number 0548820035. He inspected my cars, saying that he need to do the following service;
* replace a/c filter
*replace spark plugs
*replace brake pads
While he is checking the car, he informed me that the tires are already old and need to replace it and they have an offers for changing four tires at around 1800 Saudi riyals. I informed Him, it is okay for me to replace the old tires but be sure that the new set of tire will be manufactured this year 2018. he showed me the total amount to be paid and it costing around 4400 Saudi riyals and I asked for a discount, and also I asked Him no need to change the a/c filter and the spark plugs because It was changed recently from external workshop due to vibration that I experienced. Then, he changed the amount from 4400SAr to 3300SAR.
I received the report from Him written in Arabic as I understood that all he wrote according to what we discussed.

When I came back in the afternoon to take my car, I'd noticed from a service report that 1. need to change FRT stabilizer link 2. need to change all tires.

I immediately came back to Ahmed and asked why the tires are not changed, He checked the report and said that it is not included which is contradicted to what we discussed and he is started getting angry to me saying that he will call security guard and send me to the police. I think this kind of attitude will not be tolerated when communicating to the customer.

Sir, I am looking for an action regarding this issue and my car is still there in TOYOTA service shop in Dharan.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com inappropriate guidance and support from jubail branch on accident process

My car met with the accident during September 2017. The car is financed from ALJ. Post completion of the formalities from Traffic police, We approached the ALJ Jubilee branch to guide us on how to proceed further. The representative asked us to get some additional documents from traffic police, which we believe should have been done by Muaakkeeb (govt relations of ALJ). Meanwhile we asked the ALJ representative as to what needs to be done with the car. He revealed that we can put the car outside ALJ workshop where all the other accident cars were dumped. We did it according to his direction and moved on to get the rest of the documents. We had to struggle almost a month to get that single print out from traffic police. During this time I got a call from ALJ Khyber office (as my car was contracted with Khobar ALJ) asking for location of the car. I said it is there next to ALJ workshop where we left it. He said no there is no such car seen. It came as a shock to me when I heard this news. I immediately rush to the spot to see the truth and to my amaze the car was not there. I enquired branch personnel but no one was ready to support me. Finally I catch hold of one sudani ALJ worker who revealed that there one such taken from here and kept at a near by place in the open ground. he did not reveal who did it. Enquired with the other representative with whom I was in touch, he also he is not aware of it. On searching for all the near by grounds finally I saw my car lying in a mess. A much worse shock hit me when I saw all the parts of the car was stolen everything. Only the skeletol and tyres were left. Rest everything was stolen. Reporting back the incident to the branch they revealed that it my mistake and not theirs. Now I am so lost as what needs to be done. In addition to this I got all my documents ready and went again to the branch to proceed with my case. The same representative is telling me that he cannot accept the papers because the workshop is full of accident cars and there is no place to accommodate mine. He said I should take my car back and he will call me in some time. It may be a month or two or more... Till that time I need to continue pay my installment. I really need some support to get me out of this situation.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com car maintenance service ruining my car

I am complaining because on the 15th of June 2017 i heard a loud voice while driving the car immediately i called the service center(knowing that every small issue with the car and every maintenance i did over there even small dents and i have all the documents and receipts for that ) and reserved a spot on the 17th of June 2017 as the 16th of June was a public holiday (Friday) i was there on the 17th i left the car there and the Maintenance engineer gave me his number and told me to call him in 3 hours, in 3 hours I called and he informed me that the water pump, front disk and front disk pad needed to be changed and I ASKED IS THAT EVERYTHING IS THAT THE REASON AND THE ONLY CAUSE OF THE SOUND HE AGREED AND TOLD ME YOUR CAR DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING ELSE I ASKED 3 TIMES HE AGREED THE 3 TIMES . i went there took the car paid 5932 LE took the receipt no 065268 and i took the car home 4 days later i took the car for a ride and it wasn't as smooth as it was but i didn't realize at that time as my mother who passed away 3 days ago was dead sick and i had to be there no matter what, on the 23rd of June 2017 driving at 1am in the middle of nowhere literally 15 km of any kind of services i heard a loud sound in the car like an explosion suddenly out of no where and the car stopped and it wouldn't start where my family had the scariest most fearful night, we wired the car home where we made it at 5 am, next morning we called the service center and we were told it was a holiday for 10 days and we reserved a meeting on the 4th of July . . To resolve this problem I would like the company to 1- have my car fixed 2-investigate the rumors which we were told by a certain anonymous at the service center where that person said that there was not a single problem with our front discs it was taken and replaced so the one we had would be used on someones car as the factory ones which we had are more durable and resistant than the spare ones and that person insisted that this happens on daily basis i am not sure of this but if this is true i am sure you will loose credibility not in Egypt only but i am sure everywhere .

When I first learned of this problem, I contacted the service center at abu rawash Cairo Alexandria road at the company. I also contacted the consumer protection agency with the complain number 314582 and its being investigated just to reserve our rights.

I am kishore, I have purchased yaris seden in Feb 2016 that time i have informed as you are giving full insurance during contract period of 4 years. In 22 Dec 2016 vehicle met with an accident when i visited malath isurance in Jan2017 that time i have realized that provided insurance is 3rd party insurance . Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com defuntioning of car air bags

6th of september, 2014, my brother met with an accident and his car toppled for 5 times as per police report. we took the pictures of the car (toyota rav-4, 2012 model) and found not a single SRS air bag has functioned in this accident.
my brother is in ICU with multiple head injuries, chest injury, hand fracture. but why air bags did not activate?

this is clear violation of international safety norms.

Abdul Latif Jameel IPR Company / ALJ.com I have been cheated in the name of camry

I am writing this from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jubail city. I have purchased a 2009 Camry GLX on 19th October 2010 with zero mileage. When I took the delivery of the car I hardly drove it to a kilometer and i applied break at a traffic signal the car started vibrating very hardly with a big sound in the tyres which can be felt and easily heard by every one in the car cabin.
I pulled the car off the road and called toyota agency to tell the problem and i have been informed by the sales person that the sound and vibration is normal and it will subsidize within 7 days, however it did not happen up to date still the car is vibrating vigorously and still the agency never bother to rectify the problem.
Before the car reach 1000 KM it started giving burning smell in the cabin and when I open the bonnet the it is full of smoke. I address this problem to the toyota agency from where I have bought the car, their reply is simple they said it is normal. Is it normal your car give burning smell and smoke all over the world? or these people are just spoiling the reputation of Toyota. Now iam the victim of Toyota i dont have car now it is in agency now. There are many more problem to describe I never felf that I am driving a Camry instead a bullock cart is better than this camry what i have now.

In this way these people will spoil the reputation of Toyota and no will never ever take the cars of Toyota as it will lose the reputation.

Now I bring this matter to you to do justice to me by providing a replacement of car and save your reputation

submit your complain to toyota company in japan, try taking the address from thier website, they might give u a new car as an apology, just remember to submit your evedance & dates & full story but in breif. good luck

Today I went to purchase rav4 in al-khobar, saudi arabia (Eastern providence); I then went and got a certified check. To my surprise, abdul latif jameel co. Ltd does not recognize the check. They not only want the stub (Bottom part) of the certified check; they also wanted the bank request (Which I fell to request the money order). Not only that, they want to keep the originals. Both parts are from the bank for the client only to keep for the record.

The salesman point that this is not his problem and it is the accounting department issue. He asked me to clear it with the accountant who said this is company policy.in another word, do not acknowledge certified saudi banks check in the name of “abdul latif jameel co. Ltd”. Their reasoning is that it might not be me who got the check. (Maybe I picked it from the side walk and gave it to them.) although they have seen the check stub as well the bank's check request form.

I refused to do so and cancelled purchasing the car and they were happy to do so. Their alternative idea to bring cash equivalent to over us$25, 000 (In cash)

I have spoken to the head quarter in jeddah, the general manager mr. Mohammad mukhtar and he is aware of the situation.
I have returned the check to samba (Former saudi american bank) and also raised this issue with the bank asking them to investigate why their certified check is not acceptable.

I believe this is disgraced to the banking system to the monetary administration as well the trading scheme.

Imagine of you travel and go to the hotel and upon checking out to pay your bill with credit card, the hotel says, yes it is processed, but we need to keep your credit card and your passport until we collect the money. Maybe it is not your card, maybe found it on the side walk too. So, sir you have to wait in the hotel lobby for the next few days/ week and we will let you know.

The incident shows the quality of the Sales Force of Abdul Latif Jameel is highly mismanaged and work contrary to their customer focused policy. I have heard many experiences of the buyers (friends, colegues, neighbours etc.) who possess the similar experience about ALJ's sales staff and the front line managers. The common openion about them is - they are untrained, rude, not customer friendly, un communicative and mostly unprofessional. In maintenance also, they are known to overprice items and overestimate repair jobs. Some people have even doubts if many of their parts are not of Toyota standard.
