WE BOUGHT A GERMAN SHEPARD PUPPY FROM MARTHA AT ABLE K9 ACADEMY, AND WE NAMED HER SHADOW. WITHIN 48 HOURS OF GETTING HER I HAD TO HAVE HER AT THE VET TWICE. AT FIRST THE VET THOUGHT SHE HAD PARVO BUT IT TURNS OUT THAT SHE WAS JUST SEVERILY MALNOURSHIED, AT 3 MONTHS SHE WEIGHED 12.6 POUNDS. SHE DIDNT KNOW WHAT DRY FOOD WAS BUT YET MARTHA TOLD US THAT THEY WERE FEEDING THE LAMB AND RICE DRY FOOD. THEY ALSO TELL YOU THAT THEY GUARNTEE THE HEALTH! THATS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF BS! WE CALLED HER TO TELL HER SHADOW WAS NOT HEALTHY AND SHE TOLD US THAT OUR VET DIDNT KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. SINCE THEN WE HAVE SPENT OVER A GRAND ON MEDICINES, VET BILLS, ETC... SHE IS GOING TO HAVE TO THIS WEEK TO GO HAVE MORE TESTS DONE ON HER AND X-RAYS, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT WE DO AND THE VET DOES SHE CAN NOT GAIN WEIGHT! WE HAVE TRIED TWO ROUNDS OF SATIN BALLS AND STILL NOTHING... MARTHA DOES NOT RUN A BREEDING PLACE SHE RUNS A PUPPY MILL THAT DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH AND THE WELL BEING OF THE DOGS! ALL SHE CARES ABOUT IS HOW MUCH MONEY YOU ARE PUTTING IN HER POCKET. ALSO DONT BELIEVE HER STORY ABOUT THE DOG BEING ON WALKER TEXAS RANGER... THEY COULDNT CONTROL THE DOG, IT WAS FILTHY, UNHEALTHY, AND FERAL! THE DOG GOT FIRED THE MINUTE IT STEPPED ONTO THE SET. IF YOU TALK TO HER ASK HER TO PRODUCE THE TAPE OF THE DOG ON THE SHOW AND ALL SHE WILL DO IS BACKTRACK AND AVOID THE QUESTION! OBVIOUSLY IF YOU ARE READING THIS THEN YOU ARE DOING THE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY! WELL HOPEFULLY... WE DIDNT RESEARCH HER UNTIL AFTER WE GOT SHADOW, AND I WISHED WE HAD... BE SMART AND DONT BUY HER PUPPYS! SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY ONE FROM A WELL KNOWN BREEDER!

PLEASE LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THIS PAGE AND THIS ENTRY IS A FRAUD !

My name is Martha Godlewski, Owner of Able K-9 Academy, and if you want to, as the entry above says, do your research, please go to my web page, www.ablek9.com. Click on the links page where you will find a link to the page that shows how this page and others like them, put these horrible lies on their page in order to extort hard working
professionals out of money. They post these lies, then send you information through email or fax saying they can repair the derogatory comments that are made. (You will find the fax they sent me on the same links page. Please take the time to note the day this fax
was sent is the day before this post went up). When I did my research on this page, it shows they are out of India. So when you send money to fix your so called problem, not only is nothing done, but you are out the money you sent them.

It is quite obvious whoever this person is, has never talked to me at all. I have never told anyone that the Canine on ‘Walker Texas Ranger’ is mine. I tell people that the owner of this magnificent canine belongs to a very special friend of mine. I have two of his sons. Chino is his name on the TV series, his registered name is Desert Dream, that you can
also find a picture of him on my web page getting ready to go stage, looking quite calm, and clean, to me. You will also be able to find The name Desert dream on the pedigrees of Chino II, and Dakota, The AKC Pedigrees. A very respected American organization.

If you are still needing more information on me please check me out with the A.K.C. (American Kennel Club) where I have one of their highest rating they give. I have been with them since 1992. You can also check me out with the B.B.B. (Better Business Bureau) Also two very reputable American organizations, that I have an A+ rating.

Please check out the comments on puppyfind, and my guest book to see what people who have actually met me, spoke to me, and are very satisfied with how I care for my babies, not some fraudulent, overseas entity trying to scam, defame, and financially destroy a 100% reliable American organization.

We just brought a GS puppy from Martha and named him Tyson. He was 8 or 9 weeks when we got him and he was clean and very lovable. We could tell right away that he was very well taken care of because he was very loving toward us, or other dog Sealy and cat Cherry Ann. He only weighed 6 pounds but is now at 11 weeks and weighs 13.5 pounds. We did some research and found that GS puppies are naturally lean. He had his first visit to the vet and was given a clean bill of health. One of the things we love about Tyson is that he is healthy and loves being outside. I also have a friend who purchased Tyson's sister and named her Stormy. She is about 16pounds now at 11 weeks. We are sorry if the previous client had a negative experience with Martha. We have nothing but great things to say about her and the babies she loves and cares for. Lo & CJ

To response to shadows owner...yes we also bout a 7 week old German shepherd from Martha...within 3 days I took maximus to the vet..he was under weight, an has a bad worm infection ...maximus mother was not clean an very shy of people like she was beat...the wormer. That Martha gives her pups Is a waste of money..we called her an left a message with her helper.an she yet has to return our phone call..so as far as I'm concern our contract with her is VOLD ...maximus has to take 2 antibiotics until this parasite is out of his system which could can death in young puppies...vet bills are adding up...I love him an I will do what i can to keep him living an healthy ...I will not recommend Martha to anyone looking for a puppy...she only cares for the money...vet told us this parasite is very common with breeders who do not keep a clean environment for there animals ...this is true..cuz her cages an were not clean...

I can't really comment on the health of the puppy you purchased from Martha, I can only relate to you my experience. I purchase a German Shepherd and took him home at 8 weeks. To this day Apache is the essence of health and vitality. Apache has not (to this point) had any health issues. A beautiful boy who loves to play and be the center of attention. To more pictures of Apache you can go to his FB page Apache Kirkpatrick.

She runs a horrible operation, No one should trust anything she says! Her place should be shut down, its the epitome of a puppy mill. She will lie and say anything to get your deposit then all the nice talk and friendliness goes away. I would never recommend anyone to buy a dog from Martha!

In response to the unfortunate people who have purchased dogs from Able K9, we purchased a female German Shepherd in June of 2012. As we were leaving her place of business, she made a comment to us that if the dog seemed sick, don't waste your money on a vet as the dog will be OK in a few days. She was sick from the time we left her place of business. She had to be taken to an emergency vet the next day as she would not eat or drink and was found to be dehydrated with a fever/infection. After a year of continuous bladder and urinary tract infections and eventual kidney damage, she was diagnosed with Aspergillus, a systemic fungal inspection that is fatal in all cases. This infection is very rare, but is contracted by those animals/humans with compromised immune systems. We believe that Martha knew the dog was sick as we paid for her. Our poor Grace suffered numerous stays in specialized medical facilities in an attempt to fight this infection. We spent over $20, 000 on this dog over a three year period. At the point she began to suffer and loss her ability to walk, she was euthanized on 08/27/2015. We never contacted Martha, as it was apparent to us she doesn't give a crap about the dogs that she sells. I'm posting this to keep anybody else from going through the emotional nightmare that me, my wife and my 10 year old son have been through. I'm sure that there is a special place in the after life for people like Martha.

I first contacted Martha in late May or early June of this year, looking for a male GSD puppy to complete our (all girls except my husband!) family. She called me the next day to discuss it, and I instantly felt comfortable with her and felt that she truly cared about her dogs and what kinds of homes they went to. She was friendly and funny and very knowledgeable. We gave her a deposit for a puppy to be picked up in mid-July.

I will say communication could have been a *little* better. I emailed her a few questions over the next six weeks or so while we waited for our puppy to be old enough to come home with us, and it took a while for the replies to come. At one point I was even getting a little nervous, especially after having found this page.

I am thrilled to say my worries were all unfounded, and if the allegations above were ever true (which I don't believe), they certainly aren't now. Martha sent me a picture of the boy she'd picked for us when he reached six weeks (we all fell in love!) and she called me a week later to discuss our appointment to come get him. She stayed on the phone with me for a while, giving me all the info I needed, answering all of my questions. Clearly she just prefers to give info by phone, in one fell swoop.

A week later we drove out to her property, and got to see some of her absolutely gorgeous dogs before meeting our little Bullitt. Martha was, again, friendly, funny, and kind as she introduced him to us. It was a pleasure to meet with her. She gave us some great tips for housebreaking and training. It was again clear that these animals are not just a business to her, but a passion. I saw absolutely no signs that this was anything like a puppy mill; when we arrived, healthy, beautiful, obviously happy and well-cared-for dogs were roaming free in a very large fenced yard, there was no smell of animal waste or old food in the air, everything was clean and bright.

That was three months ago, and we feel blessed every day to have our Bullitt! He's growing (and growing, and growing, heh, he's already more than doubled in size) into an absolutely beautiful GSD, I mean, just an incredibly handsome dog who turns heads wherever he goes. More than that, he is incredibly smart--he was fully housebroken within a few weeks! He's already learned how to use doorknobs (he's not good at it, thankfully, but he knows what they do and how to turn them) and most basic commands. He is amazingly loving and affectionate--he has the perfect GSD temperament: loving with family, friendly but a little aloof with strangers, cautious but not afraid, protective but easily calmed by a touch and word from one of us, intelligent, playful, energetic but perfectly capable of just hanging out, and affectionate. He's just amazing.

We are constantly being stopped by people to ask us about him and where we got him, or just to tell us how beautiful and well-behaved he is and how impressed they are with him. Our neighbor who used to train dogs as a second job told us he's never seen a puppy with such a good, solid temperament. Anyone who knows dogs knows that while training helps there, temperament comes mostly from BREEDING. Bullitt is a little walking, cuddling, barking testament to the power of a breeder who knows what she's doing.

I truly recommend Able K-9 if you are looking to add a smart, loving, wonderful GSD to your family. When the time comes for us to consider adding another puppy to our home (in a few years, I imagine), I won't hesitate before I call her again.

Mrs. H. Kenway here again! Because of some of the ridiculous comments above, I wanted to say something that I neglected to mention in my original comment. When the day came for our family to go pick up Bullitt, it was very, very clear to us that he knew and was familiar and comfortable with Martha. I absolutely do not believe that the "only time she sees the puppies is to take their pictures." That is impossible. Our little man's behavior that day clearly demonstrated how untrue such a statement is. He obviously trusted her and knew her. He looked to her for cues, and stayed by her side for the first couple of minutes; he "checked in with" her by glancing in her direction as he explored us and the room. He wasn't afraid of her or even unsure about her.

I quite frankly do not believe a word of the complaint at the top of this page, and I urge you to not let complaints like that keep you from contacting Martha if you're interested in owning a wonderful GSD. Bullitt is now almost eight months old: a big, strong, incredibly intelligent, happy, healthy, and very handsome boy, about whom we still get compliments every time we take him anywhere. He's an absolute delight. We are still grateful every day that we have him, and always will be.
