I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. Dez Roberts
I also ordered the trail version of AcaiPure for only the shipping charges. My account was charged the full #39.95 plus the shipping charges, then a few weeks later, my account was charged another $49.95. I only received the trail version of product. I want to know, how to STOP these people. I have sent email to them to cancel; tried to call; was told the wait was 27 minutes. I haven't got time to mess around. I am angry and to beat all; today I received another shipment which I will send back receipt requested. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. Send any help information to: bgalpin@austin.rr.com. Thank you, Beverly
Unauthorized charges from this company have been charged to my Visa account on 11/21/08 for $44.85 and 12/30/08 for $38.95. I did not authorized these charges. I only authorized the trial cost of $4.95. I have been trying to contact this company but wait times on the phone are outrageous and the recording said to go to www.getorderhelp.com and this website came up. I have called my credit card company and the charges are now in dispute. I am currently (once again) on hold to talk to them and cancel. This is unbelieveable. What can be done to stop them?
This is so true
I cancelled my order and they are continuing to send it. I am disputing the payment on my American Express credit card
I feel the way you all feel, betrade and angry. They got me also on that free trail also. They also charged me when I no longer wanted it. I called and canceled, that was when they had the machine to take your canclelaytion. I did that, for two months I was not charged and today I was called by a bill collector to let me know my check has came back. So I checked my account and they had charged me. I called them and held a long time, I told them that I was charged after I have canceled and I had checks to bounce cause of this and feel they owe me $149.90 for the fees and the product they charged me for that I dont even have. They tried to tell me that I didnt cancel. Then I told then the date and time I did it. He also said that it was wierd that I havnt been charged for two months, but he would put in a cancel and waive my restock fee. I said I want to speak to a supervisor and they told me this was not a supervisor problem and is there anything thing else they could do for me. I said I need to speak to a supervisor and she hung up on me. So that is what we got. I wish there was a lawyer to put this business in there place. Times are hard for everyone, I"m disable and my husband has no work in construction rite now. So this is the last thing we need with five kids and two in college. I have calmed down a little and I am going to give it to the Lord above and pray he will but this to a stop before it hurts someones income to buy food the way things is for everyone in this world. God Bless, Katherine
The other 2 products are checked off if you look on the 2nd page where it tells you the total. That's what tipped me off - when I saw the total to be charged as $44.95. You have to "uncheck" the boxes for the additional products. As far as the monthly charges, the terms are in very small print on the same page at the very bottom. I didn't scroll all the way down and see them until I already accepted the charge of $4.95. I went back on the site using a fake name just to see what that screen showed, and there it was. I had used my debit card, so I called my bank first thing the next morning and had it canceled. Then I had to go to the bank and apply for a new debit card with a new number. It took 4 weeks to get my "free" sample after I e-mailed them twice complaining. Won't they be surprised when they try to charge my debit card the first month and it comes back denied! I did e-mail them as soon as I got my sample and told them to cancel my membership.
Not only did I get dinged for the $40.00 gum and water, but I was charged another $39.95 for a second bottle, which I did not order, and never received. WHAT A SCAM
You can now add me to the list of scammed - someone who is so careful about things like that! And the website DID NOT clearly indicate that you were going to be charged monthly for more products, NOR did it say that you were going to be sent extra products that were not Acai Pure (which is what they were advertising as the be end all product). I have emailed a cancellation and am awaiting a response from the company. So far I am out $44.85 for my "free" acai pure. This is one of the slickest advertising schemes I've seen in a long time! Someone has to do something about it and I am going to contact the CT atty general's office. Had I not read a warning from a blogger last night, I would not have even seen it until the credit card bill came. I had only opened the package right after Christmas, and set it aside...now it is too late to send back the other products (which also costs for shipping, and a 15% restocking fee!) SLICK SCAM! I wonder if Oprah knows how her name sucks everyone in...
I too was scamed with this product, have called, but could not get customer service, was put on hold with 24 minute waiting period, Have been receiving their product which I didn"t order and my account being charged, Iam like everyone else I just want my money back and this to stop...
i got into this to try a free sample of acai pure, it was just a free sample to try the product. 1 month later i receive another bottle and was charged $44.90. i emailed the company and they sent a return email that said i had enrolled into a product lifestyle program. i knew nothing about this and was amazed at the way this company took advantage of my trust by trying their product. i emailed them and have been trying to cancel the program and return the new bottle they sent me. i also found out they charged me $38.00 for the free trail bottle they sent me. this company is very dishonest and hides behind their free product advertisement. i have been calling the company and they said they were open on Saturday at 10:00 MST. it is 1:00 in Fla. and they still do not answer their phone. what a rip off this company turned out to be, i will cancel any and everything to do with these dishonest people.
I ordered a sample of this product and now they are sending the product and billing my credit card when I have not ordered any more.
ordered free trial offer and was shipped 2 extra products i authorized a 4.95 shipping and handleing which is what they said was all that was to be paid when it arrived the package had 2 products of i dont know what and a bill showing a 44.85 debit to my account
Ordered a free bottle of Acaipure diet capsuals for trail purposes. Gave my debit card number for shipping coasts. I did not tell them that they could continual to send me Acaipure every month nor did they ask. I have been trying to reach them by phone and e-mail, no luck on either. I now have two bottles I did not order.
I have had the same problem with them. i agreed to pay shipping and received a 45.85 charge. I wrote a letter to the company and asked them to remove the charge and to not charge me anymore. The very next month they charge me again 39.90. in addition they added other charges for fit-fac.com. What can be done to shut this company down?
Are there any hackers out there that can trace them back to the real owners of the web site and get us numbers. Also what about lawyers? What is the law here?
I am among many who are getting ripped off with this scam.
I signed up for a free trial and was sent other items I did not authorize. I tried to contact but found the phone wait over 2 hours. I tried several times and was on hold over 1 1/2 hrs to be disconnected. I sent the merchandise back mid Nov 2008. I have had no communications from the firm.
This month I received again an unauthorized shipment of Acaipure. The return system is close to impossible to implement as you must get the RMA
number from Customer service which is almost impossible to reach. This time I have requested the number by email. I have also requested that the
membership into "lifestyle" be canceled. I was not aware of such membership. I have threatened to report this company to as many consumer advocacy groups as I can.
I purchased a $4.99 trial of extreme acai berry. I did not read any thing that they gonna send me another bottle and take almost $90.00 for a single bottle of acai berry.I was so shocekd bec. I only intend to purchase the trail.I just used the supplement even though I thought it was too much bec. I don't know tow to deal with this. I was able to cancel my memebership though so they can't ripped me of my money anymore. It's only today I found compalints board and I want to share my bad experience. Thanks, Maria Lasswell
I asked for a free trial with a shipping charge of $4.95. They charge me directly in my Visa account $39.95 more without warning. I tried to call them but they never answer the phone. I also want to cancel what they called "membership" to avoid the next automatic supply of ($39.95+4.95$) but no answer . It's simply a rip-off. I want my money back and they stop this fraud.
I can not reach anyone, the hold times are unreal. I did not agree to $44.95 for this order and they take it out each month. Please do something about this scam. This was a trial order for $4.95, but instead it is for $44.95.
received billing for no product. only wanted the free sample. should be charge only for postage . Patsy Jo Jackson
I AM CONTINUOUSLY GETTING CHARGES FROM THEM. I ORDER A "TRIAL" AND WAS JUST SUPPOSE TO PAY SHIPPING AND HANDLING. THE FIRST CHARGE WAS $49.95 (THEY SENT ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS IN WHICH I DID NOT ORDER) BUT TO RETURN THEM, THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME 18% PLUS THE S & H...IT WAS CHEAPER FOR ME TO KEEP THE "UNWANTED" PRODUCTS. TODAY, I RECIEVED ANOTHER CHARGE FROM THEM FOR $39.95...I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ITS FOR. I TRIED TO CALL THE 888 # BUT RECORDER ON THE OTHER END SAID IT'S A 33 MINUTE WAIT...WHAT A SCAM.
I ordered and received Acai Pure Trial. In addition to this simple trial order, I was sent Hoodiburst gum at $9.95 and Hoodiawater at $29.95, neither of which I ordered. My credit card was charged at total of $44.85, which included S&H. I resent this malpractice and demand that the unorthorized charges be removed from my credit card. Since I did not order these last two items, I will consider that they were sent FREE OF CHARGE. This company will be reported to the Better Business Bureau if my charged are not removed by the END OF THIS MONTH (January 31, 2009). Sr. Maria Mantel
AcaiPure was advertized as a RisK Free Trial Sample for $4.95. This product is anything but risk free! I have been charged $39.95 to my credit card which was never authorized by me, plus they sold my credit card number to Fti-Fac.com and they are now charging me $29.95. All of this under the false advertising of Risk Free Sample-I don't think you can be more fraudulant than this! Plus the phone number they give you to call is constantly busy and when you do get a response it is a 30 minute wait and then you are cut off with a busy signal-so contacting the company is virtually impossible!
Please be ware and don't purchase this product-not even a trial sample.
I ordered free samples of Colon Cure and AcaiBerry and agreed to pay only the shipping charges. On the original advertisement it said nothing about future 30 day supplies to be charged at $89 or I would never have ordered the samples. The orders arrived late -- then stated the 30day supplies would be shipped and charged to my account 14 days after the shipping date of the samples. When I called to cancel many times and could never get anyone even after holding for over 45 min. I finally reached a customer service rep. told him I wanted to cancel because I couldn't afford them and couldn't see that they were doing any good anyway. He said he would send another sample and my card wouldn't be charged for 30 days. I told him it wouldn't do any good as I would cancel anyway. A few days later I recieved a 30day supply of AcaiPure--a differnt product, PLUS Hoodia water and Zoft gum which we had never even discussed and my account has been charged $44.85 for these products. I now am not able to reach anyone at their telephone number to cancel all orders. They also say I must have a RMA# before credit will be given. Somehow this scam should be stopped.
I, too was having the same problems. Once I involved the fraud dept from my bank - everything was refunded.
How I handled dispute about Acai Products:
1. call the number listed, [protected] to first get out of the lifestyle Program I didn't know I was put in. Be prepared to hold for up to an hour.
Stated I wanted to CANCEL any membership, suscription, or enrollment they had me in. GotT the CANCELLATION # and wrote it down exactly as they gave it, repeating it back to them to be sure I had it correctly. Asked them to give me an RMA ( return merchandise authority ) number. Addressed pkg with a COPY of invoice inside that they sent me and note stating the RMA # again AND the cancellation number I got and stating that I had only agreed to "FREE TRIAL" and nothing else. I did not order any other merchandise, that I wanted to cancel any further business with them. I wanted my money back asap. Took to USPS and made sure I got a TRACKING NUMBER WITH CONFIRMATION(KEPT THIS IN SAFE PLACE). Called Credit card Co. and asked for dispute mgr. Disputed charges and asked for CASE #. (Keep handy)
sent unwanted items. Even when i shipped and order back and asked that my membership be cancelled I continued to receive shipments.
I want my membership cancelled and 2 shipment amounts credited to my card.
Order canceled on 11/2/08 - received shipment, charged credit card on 11/7. Customer Service phone number impossible to get through.
Additional charges on 12/5 for $39.95, and 12/22 for 44.90 which were unauthorized charges for merchandise never received. Dispute notice sent to Credit Card company with note these were unauthorized and they are not authorized to charge one penny to my account.
This 'company' should be put out of business and sued for refunds to all of us.
CANCEL. CANCEL. CANCEL. CANCEL.
The Arizona Attorney General's Office has filed a lawsuit against Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. (CCN) and its President and CEO Graham Gibson which alleged violations of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act and a pattern of deceptive practices in their online sales of their nutritional products. This was filed on Dec. 29th 2008.Consumers who feel they have the victim of consumer fraud by CNN should contact the Arizona ATTY GEN'S Office in Phoenix at [protected] or go the the website at www.azag.gov and in the box on the right click on consumer complaints to join in this matter. They ask you to fill in the blanks. Be careful, you can't ramble on and on, the space is very limited for you to fill in "all the details" Hope this DOES help. Also notify your Credit card co. of this action against them.
I was also misled by this company. I canceled my credit card today after being charged $29.95 last week by fit-fac.com, and $39.95 yesterday by Acaipure. I recommend everyone who participated in this to do the same today! Obviously, the website is set up to deceive those of us who believe the "system" would protect from this kind of scam! It obvious the emails suggesting these additional charges are clear on the website, come from the company or a representative. They are trying to protect themselves from a class action suit! I am working with a private source to see what action can be taken to revise the website and will keep everyone posted...
What ever you sign up with this company for a free trial. All I needed to do was pay the shipping of 1.95 and that was it. When I recieved my product I noticed that it signed me up for a membership. Their wedsite does not mention this when you get your free trial so I called and cancled my membership. When I revieved my bank statement I noticed a 39.95 charge. I called them again and they show that I never canceled my membership. After I talked to them again I noticed another charge on my bank statement of 44.90. Do not use this company all their goal is to rip you off.
Please cancel all orders to me customer # 592057 what a scam tried calling and e-mailing I even sent back first order with cancel Please Cancel
Took them up on their free trial offer. Received product along with unordered gum & drops and charged 39.9o for same. This is a scam and I want this cancelled for any further shipments or charges.
I ordered the free trail order only pay shipping, 30 days they chage my credit card with 40.00 and gave my credit card # to www.fit-fac.com, [protected] NV and they put a charge on my credit card for 30.00 . for nothing...
what do you do..
I, too, fell for their "free" officer with only a charge for shipping and handling. As soon as I entered my credit card information, a screen popped up telling me my order was complete. I did not have a chance to read what was apparently at the end in small print, that you had to uncheck boxes or you would be ordering other products. Three weeks later, I noticed my credit card account had been charged $44.85. I called to cancel my order but was told it was too late. As soon as the product arrived, about a month later, I returned it, unopened. I was told by phone that when, or IF, they received the returned product, they would credit my account. Needless to say, they will not acknowledge receiving the returned product. They will not reply to my e-mails.
I sent for free Acaipure and was to pay shipping/handling only. They sent me two other unrequested items costing $44.85 which they charged on my Discover Card. Now I have just received two new bottles of this diet aid for a total of $44.90 on my Discover Card. I did not order these, but they have my credit card # so they already charged it without my knowledge. What can I do to stop them from charging my credit card each month? They said the waiting time was 40 minutes on the phone, so I was forced to do it by e-mail. This is a scam. What do I do?

I answered an add for free sample of Acaipure. Postage of $1.95 . My checking account has been debited for $39.95 & $44.90 for product I did not order. I have sent e-mail requesting account to be closed. I have received the first order & am returning un-opened. I have tried numerious times to contact the company & set on hold.
I have been getting an overwhelming amt. of calls from this company from telephone number [protected]. I've received more than 18 in the past few days. When I answer, no one speaks. When I don't, no one leaves a message. I have even tried text messaging to them requesting they cease calling me unless they leave a message stating their business. I haven't got a respponse to that... just more annoying calls. I would appreciate someone advising me as to how I can prevent this from continuing or who I can contact to have them do it. with appreciation, Sunnie1919@yahoo.com
