I have had to use Accredo off and on for the last 20 years and they are by far the worst. I cringe when my insurance company states i have to use them.
I am shocked that they have whatever it is that allows them to fill prescription medication. I have been trying to fill a prescription since mid-April. Everybody I talk to gives a different excuse or update. I have been told multiple times that it will ship then it never shows up and i get the automated call about needing more information from the doctor. I call Every week and get a different version of why the prescription cannot be filled. It's a revolving door. The doctor has sent multiple prescriptions and prior authorizations, confirmed dosing and dosing schedule, but somehow Accredo always needs something else every time they are contacted. I have been calling weekly since April and still getting nowhere. Accredo has been very difficult to my doctors when they call to find out what going on. I found out today that my last prior auth. (that they kept on file anyway) was issued Jan 1st and expired May 14th. Since mid-April, they gave me the run around about needing a prior auth from the insurance company and wouldn't fill my prescription because they claimed I didn't have a prior authorization from the insurance company. I had one all along and I missed that dose because of their incompetency in doing their job. Last week i was told "we have everything we need" and we just have to reprocess the prescription. It will take 2-3 business days. Today we are back to needing a prior authorization from insurance. As of today, I'm still not getting my prescription and will miss yet another dose. I am grateful that this will only cause pain and discomfort and is not life threatening. The way Accredo is operating is unacceptable and very frustrating. My patience is no more. This needs to be resolved immediately.
Claimed loss: 2 missed doses and countless hours of frustration.
Desired outcome: I want my medication processed and delivered immediately. If the delays continue i want managerial intervention and an investigation into the inconsistencies of what is being and not being received and retained on file.
