Wigs/buy 2 get 1 free sale
On 12/16/2022 I received an ad for Buy 2 get 1 free on the style of Noriko wigs I use. Sale was good through 12/19. I ordered the 2 wigs on 12/18. I used their Shopace coupon as required in the ad. I also ordered the same color as required by the ad. I did put 3 in the cart and it should have been 2…..(I didn’t have my glasses at the time, so the 2 looked like 3). However, I did write under special instructions regarding the sale and ironically even thanking them for offering it. After the order was placed I realized I was charged for 3, not 2. I immediately wrote to Ace customer service. I stated I was overcharged. Kim wrote back and said they were going to be sending my 3rd one ? What? I wrote back again and stated I was not writing about the 3rd one and explained the overcharge. This literally went on for 7-8 emails over the course of almost 2 weeks, before I got frustrated and said “you are NOT reading my messages”. I need to add that many of my emails were not even answered, but the ones that were always referred to this 3rd wig! Then she responded that I ordered 3 not 2! I explained I ordered the buy 2 get 1 free once again, to no avail. I even called them and left a message but no return call. I’ve been a customer for years…but have never dealt with customer service. IT IS HORRIBLE. It would be a very simple fix…just honor the sale and refund the one wig. 2 weeks later (yesterday)she tells me I can refuse the box and then get refunded! Seriously? It’s a bit late for that, as the box has been delivered. I want the 3 like I was planning on….just want them to honor their sale . It really blows me away that a company would work so hard to be downright nasty. I’ve had to contact my credit card company…although I preferred not to and tried my best before resorting to that as charge backs are not my first choice. I’d be happy to be able to resolve this without going to the bank.

I ordered the wig but the colour was way too dark I emailed seller n he said I could return it for a credit

Their products are not truthfully represented in their photography and they know it and don't care - blames it on the company. One more company who just wants your money & does NOT care about anything else, especially your satisfaction. customer service and restocking fee
I returned a wig I had ordered for a simple color change. I did not remove the wig from the box and could tell just by looking at it that it was the wrong color. I paid the fee to return the wig and waited 9 days with no contact from the establishment. I finally called and was told that I had to pay a restocking fee of $39 plus because the tissue paper was wrinkled? The guy on the phone was a complete [censored] and when I complained about the charge...his answer was "Than I guess you won't have to order from us ever again"? WTF. Complete [censored]. Terrible customer service and complete misrepresentation of policies, etc.

I received a wig I ordered from Ace Wigs on 8/30/15. The wig came in a crushed box, and looked used. I didn't even take it out of the box because I could tell just from looking at it that is was NOT new. I contacted the seller - a man from Bodega Bay, CA - (I am familiar with the area). I told him I want a full refund. He screamed back at me "OK!". To date, I have not received a refund and now I've had to file a dispute with my bank. This man does not run a reputable business.
Ripoff! Scam and Lies!
I purchased the Stevie Wig from Ace Wigs for $174.00 in August of 2015. It took more than 2 weeks to receive it when it was only 1 state away! When it arrived the bangs were all bent and out of shape and it smelled something awful. I felt as if I got a wig that had already been used! Gross!
I contacted the company and they said they'd exchange it so I paid another $10 to ship it back. 2 weeks later they sent me the same wig I just paid to return stating that it had been used! I will never shop here again. I just lost $185! This company shouldn't be in business and I'll make sure and write complaints all over the internet so that this doesn't happen to someone else.

On 10/17/2011, I went online and purchased a wig for Halloween. I wanted a nicer wig than what is sold in national discount store chains. I was told it would take 7-10 working days to receive the wig. On 10/28/2011, my wig arrived. HOWEVER, before it arrived, I googled Ace Wigs to get their phone number and got the shock of my life when I read several extremely negative reviews on the company. Because of the negative comments I read, I was worried sick; knowing I had probably been ripped off. However, I had such a POSITIVE experience with Ace Wigs from start to finish. I spoke to Sean over the phone and we e-mailed back and forth several times. He was the ultimate professional. I didn't even know how to size a wig and he explained it to me very patiently. By the way, I have a severe speech impediment due to an auto accident with head injury. Most people I speak to over the phone have little to no patience with me, sometimes even hanging up on me. Sean was SO patient and most of all, he was so PROFESSIONAL.
I did notice that the majority, if not all of the negative comments were made in 2010 and earlier than that. So, there were probably changes made; changes for the better.
I ALMOST blew off my order with Ace because of the negative reviews I read. I am SO glad I didn't. By the way, my wig is simply gorgeous! I am so glad I got my wig through Ace Wigs and plan on buying a few more.

Fraudlent business practices
3.30.10 ordered Rene of Paris wiglet online. Website Exchange Policies say item has to be received by them within 14 days of when you received it. This policy has to be agreed to for completing the order. E-mail confirming order then changes those agreed-to policies from 14 days to 7 days. My order was received 4.7.10, but color was too dark and fit was bad for my head shape, so I needed to exchange. Tried to download their Exchange Form from their Web site, but the link was broken. Also the link to confirm exchange/restocking fees was broken, so I contacted them through the Website to alert them to the problem. No response. I called their 800# order line and left voicemail messages (during their stated business hours) twice after that.
Finally on 4.13.10 I got a call back from Kim. I told Kim the link was broken so I couldn't download the Exchange Form to return my product. Perhaps they could fax it to me. Kim told me just to return the product to the address of the Exchange Form. Yeah, well, that's the problem--the link is broken on the Web site. Kim told me I was rude and hung up on me. Called back a couple more times and only got a busy signal as if the phone had been taken off the hook. So I followed up with another e-mail. And I checked the Web site daily to see if the link would get fixed.
On 4.14.10 the broken links were fixed on the Web site so I downloaded and completed the forms; then returned my product by priority mail with delivery confirmation. It was confirmed my package was delivered to them on 4.16.10 at 8:53 a.m. Per their instructions, I waited two weeks to contact them and inquire about the status of my exchange. Again...no response to e-mails or voicemail messages and only get the answering machine when calling during business hours.
Never received the product
Never received two wigs I ordered. It has been over 6 months and I am now out a total of $250.00 on my credit card with nothing to show for it. My calls were never answered so contacted the Better Business Bureau and they put this company on their list.

I ordered a wig whose colour was not at all as described on their web site. Despite numerous emails, I have received no response at all. From reading the other comments about Ace Wigs on this site, that seems to be the company's modus operandi: If you want reliability and service, try another wig seller.
We performed work for Ace Wigs. After a year of non-response from them regarding an invoice, Kim replied that the work was never done.
Ace Wigs is a TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, UNRELENTING, BURGLARY outfit. I ordered once and it took six months, never received the wig. FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY I actually was given a VERY, VERY RELUCTANT refund.. That was a few years ago. I swore I would NEVER buy from them again. Stupidly, I fell for a sale that was too good to pass up. It had been a couple of years since the first fiasco, so I ordered. WHAT AN IDIOT! They are still up to their old tricks. They sent me the wig but in the wrong size. I can't even get the stupid thing on my head. The size I ordered was on their website (my order site) AND on the invoice when I got the wig. IT WAS THEIR FAULT. I have not from them since: not after 2 emails and 2 voice messages. I complained to my credit card company which told me to "try one more time." ? Which I did, telling them I was filing a complaint w/them to Citicards and it would be in their best interest to send me what I ordered. Surprise, surprise - I still haven't heard from them. I'm calling Citicards tomorrow morning, hoping they can do something. NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER buy from this company. THEY STEAL FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD. WHY, WHY, WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?

Non shipment
None shipment of order. They took my money and never shipped. I sent emails which were not returned and left phone messages that rolled over to a answering machine. Fraudulent company, Do Not do business with them.

This company ignored all of my phone calls, emails, and even a legal rep from paypal. I ordered a wig for my daughters best friend that lost her hair to chemo and was counting on not being bald. Two and a half months later- we are wigless and charged for the item. Now I have to buy a new one from a more reputable company. I am sorry I wasted my time with Ace Wigs.

Of course all they could do was add this company to their "bad" list of consumer complaints but I will never see my money again. So sad that this company is getting away with this. exchange rip off
I made a purchase from Ace wigs in April.2009. I received the order by May.
I have been loyal to the brand of the product I had purchased for 15 years. I saw upon opening the order package that the color of 1 item was incorrect I. I spoke with Kim at Ace. He told me to send it back for an exchange. I promptly did at my own expense.
I then heard nothing from the company. When I called from the East Coast after work (they are Pacific Time) I got only your voice mail on which I left several messages. I e-mailed several times with no reply from Kim or Debbie, the other associate.
When I called at the beginning of the Summer from my office, during the day, I spoke with Kim. Perhaps an alternate number showing up on caller ID got Kim to actually pick up. He excused the delay with his backlog and said he would take care of it.
Again time passed with no response. My online profile on the site has both my e-mail address and a phone number. I have looked at the account record on line. The “Item Status” has the order listed as shipped on 07-06-2009 on both the item in question as well as the order that had been properly filled.
I have not received any package or notice from the Postal Service in connection with the exchange.
A transaction with a customer amounting to $199.00 (more with postage) should be treated with more respect.
I attempted again to call and email in August. I have heard nothing since.
I made a purchase in April, 09. I received the wrong color in the order. As per their direction I returned the item, They have yet to make an exchange.
Anyone who has had a problem with them should please go and report them to the Better Business Bureau, http://www.bbb.org/us/consumers/. They should not be allowed to stay in business to rip people off. Please spread the word.

Ripped me off
I purchased what was supposed to be a NEW wig from Ace Wigs website but instead of a new wig they sent me a terrible looking piece...when I complained, they said instead of sending me a new wig that was never out of the box that it was actually a display wig that was on a mannequin. The hair was ratty and it looked old. I asked them to send me a brand new wig which was what I paid a lot of money for and Kim there refused. This wig looks terrible and they are being very unkind toward me.
Please do not buy anything from these people...they are a rip-off company and I'm so sorry I gave them so much money and got taken.
They never answer their phones. If you call it always goes into voice mail and you can never speak to a real person.

Oh god! I wish I'd found this website before I ordered from Ace Wigs. I placed an order almost a month ago. Still haven't recieved it. I've emailed and called. No one ever returned my call, and I have yet to get an email response.
I bought a Tinkerbell wig from Ace Wigs and what is shown on their website is a DARK purple wig.
What I received is a light lavender wig and I would NOT have ordered this wig if the true color was displayed on the Ace Wigs website.
I have e-mailed several times and called daily with no answer at all from this company. Nobody ever answers the phone or returns messages, they don't even have the decency to respond to my requests!
Wish I had seen your link here before purchasing from this company. I'll never use them again.

Fraudulent behavior
On july 18, 2009 i ordered two wigs from ace wigs. After a lengthy delay in delivery and numerous emails and phone messages; none of which i received a response, i finally received one of the wigs. I have never received the 2nd wig nor a refund of my money.
This company will take your money and you will never be able to speak with a human being or receive any response to phone messages or emails.

Ace Wigs is a rip-off! Please only buy from them if you want to deal with scam-artists. Your money will disappear from your account, and you will be left without a wig and most likely will not get a refund. Tell your friends and family about this fraudulent company before it is too late! Word of mouth goes a long way.
Unfortunately for most people, if you ever in this lifetime get a call-back it will be from the infamous Kim (who is a man). He's rude and has no remorse when it comes to scamming people out of their hard-earned cash. We're in a recession and apparently he thinks it's okay to scam people, nevertheless. He thinks his job is so secure, even though he's down-right rude to people. I believe in karma. What goes around, comes back around.
The worst part about this company is the fact that they also sell medical wigs, for people who have experienced hair loss due to cancer and other illnesses. That's just not right for these people who are already victims to be victimized all over again! Please hold onto your $$$ before becoming a victim of this company.
The number on the website is voicemail only. So you have to wait (sometimes forever) for someone to finally call you back. Even if you send an email, good luck getting a reply back to that.
I was a victim and I want to prevent others from becoming the next victim. Kim has no regard for anyone. His favorite thing to do once he calls people back is to get smart with the person and then hang up in their ear. What the heck?! What kind of business is this? Bad business! Please put the word out there about this company. Tell your family and friends and ask them to tell their family and friends.

I have ordered a wig at acewigs too. when my order didn;t appear on the acount status page and didn't get respons on my emails i went to google their name. Then I found this website. It's only 5 days ago i ordered the wig. And since I'm in holland it could take weeks before a package from the us arrives here, I'm not sure if I'm being ripped off. But i can only hope I recieve the wig I ordered. I have payed by paypal and informed them about this website with complains too so maybe they will stop cooperating with the company. Even if I do recieve my wig, they have ripped off a lot of others and i have never experienced worse costumer service.

I was just about to order from them again, but saw several complaints and looked into it. My order took for ever and someone told me it would be 7-10 days. It took much longer and I sent an email in regard to the status of my order. The response was " I don't know where you got the idea that it would be arriving on that date, it takes much longer. Looking back, that was my first order on-line for a wig, it was a very negative experience, especially compared to companies like Paula Young. I have had stage 4 cancer twice and although they say you may get a discount, I was told there are no discounts! I have been ordering alot of wigs lately and will no longer associate with ACE, and will pass this on to two friends of mine interested in buying a wig also. Thanks for the post. Heather
Cancelled order but bank charged
On Sunday, 2/22/09, I inadvertently completed an order form for a wig without realizing my search had taken me to a wig description I did not want. I immediately ordered the correct wig and called the listed number to cancel the first order.
The representative on the phone told me it cost "too much" to cancel an order and refused to do so. He told me to send an email to Debbie, the customer service representative, which I did, on 2/22/09. No response coming on the next business day, 2/23/09.
I checked my credit card statement online 2/24/09 and both wigs were charged. No answer at Ace Wigs.
I did receive a cancellation email on 2/22/09, but my account was charged anyway. The phone must be off the hook since I continually dialed and only received a busy signal.

Fraud and cheating
I ordered 2 wigs from ACEWIGS.COM, they sent one. It has been over two months since I ordered and the second wig was put on backorder (I paid 2 months prior). I called for a refund and was promised a refund immediately. HA HA HA big joke! I was not given a refund, but was shipped something other than what I ordered, when I called to complain, they hung up on me. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM ACE WIGS THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

The owner just called me, wouldn't let me speak and called me an ignorant bald consumer. This dude needs to find another line of work. Also he said the cc company wouldn't side with me if I tried to get my money back. He has lots of experience ripping off people, doesn't he.
They overcharged me for a wig, a higher price than my documentation shows. They promised to refund me the extra $60 they charged me but never did. I received the wrong color wig, different than what my documentation says. They said they were sending me something to return it with and that they would refund me instead of sending a replacement. They never sent me anything. They have now moved to California and only have a po box number so I couldn't confirm delivery anyway. I will dispute this with my credit card company. I have sent emails and haven't heard back. This is very cruel that they do this to cancer patients. As someone else mentioned no wonder his wife died of cancer. According to the notes he was doing this before his wife got cancer. I wonder if that is even true that she died of cancer. This must be more fraud because of all of the complaints. They will charge lower prices then not send people their item and steal their money. I highly recommend namebrandwigs.com. They have the lowest prices and are NEVER a problem.
Ace Wigs needs to be shut down. They don't respond to calls or emails, don't tell you when a wig is back ordered and claim exchanges are not in acceptable condition. Also appears to be a one man show who is nasty. There are many, much better and reputable companies out there to do business with, no one needs them. They are ripping off people in need and apparently the only way to shut them down is to stop doing business with them. Good thing is it looks like many have so only a matter of time.
If you will notice, all of these complaints are over 2 years (or more) old. Most complaints come, when a wig or hairpiece is placed on backorder by it's respective manufacturer. This is NOT an uncommon occurrence in this business.
I bought a wig from ace wigs, it came a month later after kim charged me for it twice.the first time it went through straight away, about an hour after i put my order in. Then a week later Kim (the man who owns ace wigs) put it through again. i guess he was hopeing i wouldnt notice, like im not going to notice 250 bucks missing!.
He's realy unprofesional to when and if you can get in contact with him. for example when i notified him that he'd put my order through twice he just wrote back, " i dont know what your talking about". Ace Wigs is a horrible company! I also ordered an 18" mono top piece, and they sent me a 10" piece instead. When I called to notify them of the error, they said they could not take it back because I took it out of the box and brushed it and tried it and therefore it was considered used and non-returnable. How else was I supposed to tell that it was the wrong item when there was no markings on the box what-so-ever to indicate it was the wrong item. Then they turned around and asked me why I didn't notice it was so much shorter before I brushed it and tried it. I don't know...probably the same reason you didn't realize it so so much shorter when you "double-checked" your order before sending it to me. THEN they referred me to the manufacturer to try to rectify the situation. Obviously, there is nothing they can do for me. They just provide AceWigs with the products they ask for. So, now I'm stuck paying for an item I didn't order and can't use unless I cut over 10 inches off of my hair... and they aren't willing to work with me at all. I fully intend on complaining to the Nevada BBB and anyone else who will listen if AceWigs refuses to work with me regarding this matter.
I believe Ace Wigs does not intend to refund anyone. This is what is written on their website, "Customers who cancel their order due to back ordered or discontinued items are exempt from the Cancellation Fee." But this has not been the case. I was never given a refund for an order that I cancelled as soon as I was told it was on back order. Their customer service is terrible. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and I suggest everyone who has a problem with Ace Wigs does the same. They have just lost my business, I will never order from them again. They are frauds.
I ordered two wigs from Ace in May 2010. Two weeks later I receive one wig. The other was "backordered, " but they billed me for it.
I e-mailed them and told them to cancel the backorder and refund my money. They said they would. This is July 2010, and I have
yet to receive either the wig for which I paid, or a refund which I've requested on numerous occasions.
They take your money, and good luck getting restitution. BUYER BEWARE!
My cousin ordered a wig from ace also and she never got nothing in the mail... I mean nothing, needless to say I've ordered from ace and i've never had a problem... I think that before we start given out our credit card numbers and or checking account numbers we need to do out homework, because it's already rough enough out here and we don't need people like this rippin us off even more...
After six months and a $250.00 charge on my credit card for an item I never got I finally contacted the BBB of Nevada. Of course all they could do was add this company to their "bad" list of consumer complaints but I will never see my money again. So sad that this company is getting away with this. There must be something else we can do to put this scam company out of business?

Terrible experience
I ordered 2 wigs express delivery. It took 6-8 weeks and only received 1 wig. A few weeks later received second but wrong color. Returned it for color exchange. Received delivery confirmation from postal service but have no reply from Ace Wigs. They will not answer phone or email. ONE WIG SHORT!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

ACE WIGS PULLED THE SAME CRAP ON ME. PAID FOR AN ITEM ON BACK ORDER OVER 2 MONTHS AGO, I HAD TO CALL 20 TIMES TO GET ANYTHING FROM THEM, WHEN I ASKED FOR A REFUND BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS THEY SENT SOMETHING I DID NOT ORDER. WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE! THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU ALSO!
