I purchased tickets from SeeTickets for a music festival called Ezoo New York 2023.
The event was partially cancelled, delayed, under staffed, and oversold. As a result, I was not able to experience said event. In addition, the event had performers that were promised that never performed.
Ezoo had publicly apologized and promised refunds. However, there was no follow through from either SeeTickets or the staff for Ezoo.
After requesting a refund from both companies and receiving no response; I processed a dispute with Acorns. Said dispute was blocked by SeeTickets because theyclaim that the service was provided.
I have records as well as anecdotes from fellow concert goers that show clearly the mishandling of this entire situation. Which has now transpired into a class action lawsuit in NYS.
I know that I am not alone in this matter. Many people were affected by the negligence of these companies.
While for some, they were able to get support from their credit card companies in order to properly mediate the situation and provide the appropriate refund to their customers, it would seem that Acorns chooses not to be for their customers but rather the vendors that did not provide the promised experience. I have attached conversations/anecdotes of others. This has been an unprecedentedly horrible experience with all parties involved, and I will be sure to join any available class action law suits that will arise from this.
Claimed loss: $572.12
Desired outcome: Refund
