I have a doorbell and video (driveway) camera. These are ADT equipment... not Google. I had a neighborhood blackout... and my T Mobile router/modem lost all info. I got new wifi login info... but could not get my cameras connected. I called customer service... and after being on hold for 40 minutes, was ultimately told that they don't usually send out service techs for these "simple" issues. And they were going to charge me $114 for this house call service. I begrudgingly agreed as I needed my cameras connected.
So... the ADT tech came today and let me know that the ADT equipment is too difficult to hook up (as opposed to Google equipment) and they come out all the time for this. AND... it ultimately cost me close to $200! Not $114 as I was told on the phone. What was I going to do? The work was done. The tech sincerely apologized and admitted that he didn't know why ADT does this. I was totally misled on the phone with an ADT rep. Shame on you all! This seems to be a scam to me... and I will be contacting the BBB and my local politician. in addition, I will be alerting my followers on my social media accounts to alert them of your company's customer dis-service.

Desired outcome: Refund of a portion of what I paid today. He told me $59 is labor for his time. That's what I should have been charged. I already pay you all close to $70 a month for service.
