I paid for Gold Membership and when I tried to send first email I was immediately directed to log in page where I have never been allowed in again. I try and request support and DO NOT hear from them. It seems that there are many who have been ripped off by this site, who can we turn to? What can be done? Please respond and I will dedicate my free time to stopping this company from taking others money to.

Noticed a $30 charge from them - adult friend finder - on my visa bill & called BofA to complain that this was unauthorized. BofA notified me that I had been charged $140 one year ago by aff. This was also not authorized, though I failed to see it on my statement at the time (crazy work schedule).

They had my account number from when I had tried the paying membership for a month. Not only is it buyer beware, but consumer beware also. It is worth noting that the account number had been changed due to a lost card, but BofA had allowed this transaction to place anyway.

There are better, free sites to meet people. AFF stole my money; don't even bother signing on for a "free membership."

I have to agree there is nothing good about AFF. I have been a gold member for a couple of months now, I was never really expecting it to go anywhere but I was also not expecting it to be such a shameless scam either. I would estimate 90% of the female profiles are not real people. I am looking for Japanese people in Japan, but while their English is not so good, none of them seem to know any Japanese either!

Also I noticed that the search results are different depending on whether you are logged in as a paying member or not. If you are not paying, it seems like the better looking ones show up, even if they have not logged in for years. If you are a paying member, the results are of more recently used profiles, but as I said most of them are fake too (I'm talking female profiles here, no doubt the male profiles are all real).

Just the other day I got a message almost identical to one I'd seen before from someone else, I replied that their fake profiles were getting sloppy. After a tirade of abuse in reply, suddenly my profile 'could not be approved' even though it was fine before and I never changed anything on it. From other users point of view I am showing as 'temporarily deleted', which is really the same as not being a member. This is pure theft. It's quite obvious the person was working for AFF and could pull strings to make this happen.

What's worse is I was stupid enough to pay for a years membership (they were having a special where you got 18 months if you paid for a whole year, but I still only got a 12 month membership, and no answers from user support, which is more blatant theft) so now I am owed 10 months more usage but I am effectively locked out. That site is a total scam all the way through, it's amazing it can still be up and running. I guess they bank on the fact that most people wouldn't want the world knowing about their adult desires...?

I had paid for a 12 month's gold membership, in advance for A.F.F. Recently they started taking money out of my account, last month they they took money out twice! They did not respond to my emails. I've had to instruct my bank to cease any payments to them. Doesn't look like I'll get my money back. How many other people are they doing this to?

I made this home page: http://sites.google.com/site/adultfriendfinderripoff/system/app/pages/sitemap/hierarchy

My theory is that the rip- off is not deliberate, but I have suspicions about a frame- up where an American company makes a huge amount of money.

Do they have employed members? Profiles has appeared, reported me and then immediately dissapeared. One seemingly easy hook- up dissappeared.

The regulars at the Magazine are suspiciously frequent.

But there is also a hierarchy. Understanding the site a lot can be learned. The activity would legally be called procuring, even if I do not normally agree on legal control.

A former partner and I signed up at this site one night, kind of a goof, but it turned out okay--we met an actual human and had a pretty good weekend. Seems like my experience is a minority, based on the many listings for AFF here!

Oh well. I had fun. :-)

Just happened to me. i turned auto renewal off and to my surprise, 2 months later I find that it was on after I turned it off. They show "proof" of me logged in when I never was after phoning their customer service and won't give me back all the money for it. Site is a joke.

AFF auto re-bill even when this is not enabled. And it is not atuomatic, it is totally done by humans. I run a prepay card, and originally only signed up for a 1 month trial, with re-new disabled. Decided the service was crap with all contacts being 12, 000 km away, figured thats a bit too hard to get a root, so decided not to renew membership. All good?

Nope. 1 month later I saw two attemps to bill for a 3 month sub which I NEVER signed up for. These were 2 minutes apart. Then 13 minutes later, another transaction attempt was made for a 1 month sub, i.e. a re-new, which I also did not request. This attempt was successful. They got another $29.95 the MF's. Still my account says auto-renew is switched off.

It's a 100% genuine honest scam. A c/c billing scam.

How about paying for a silver membership that AFF approved, logging in for two weeks till I get an email stating my user name is inappropriate. So my membership was denied till I could rectify the situation only to find out, you can't change your username. Thanks AFF for stealing my money.

I signed up silver for a year, on Adultfriendfinder and Amigos. Got to know a couple of women on Amigos, but Aff was no go. Early on, I clicked no renew and yet was renewed for both as soon as the two expired. I called and complained-they tried like hell to keep me on with odd offers but I stuck to my guns. I also reported it to my credit card issuer(they can help quite a bit, too. Heavy hitters are more persuasive). I was eventually credited for the payments, but they paid back all but a dollar and a half on one and a dollar and change on the other, essentially nickel and diming me on it. I have considered going to small claims court and filing suit but I can imagine the judge being incooperative for such a small amount; on the other hand, he/she might be really, really principled and whack 'em. Who knows?
I recommend those of you who DON'T get satisfaction from your credit card issuer OR cannot, for whatever reason, get satisfaction from ### at the company directly, go sue in small claims court. It's cheap and often successful, as they won't send a rep to your town to battle it out. How do you collect? I don't know, but probably getting in touch with the county sheriff where Aff Corp. HQ is and asking them if they can help. They might confiscate property to sell and forward you the money, but don't take my word for it. Speak with and attorney. Always instructive. Sit in on Small claims court sessions, as they are also very educational. Hell, any court, for that matter.
Good luck to you all.

I tried to join them today, but did not give my card details, as I had a change of heart. What does worry me though, is that the site said that my IP address was logged. Now, I am not carrying out any illegal activity, but I am worried that identity theft could be a possibility. What do you guys think?

I have personally met more than 20 women in person via AFF.
And their customer service reps have been nothing less than helpful and professional.
I believe the vast majority of the profiles are real people.
I am surprized to see so many who got a different experience.

I paid for a Gold Membership last night @ $19.95 for a month. I used the site last night and this morning. Now when I try to log in it says my username and email address don't exist. I went to my email to find that I received an email a little while ago telling me that my email address had been changed to an address that I have never heard of or owned. It also says that my gender was changed in my profile from male to female, which I also did not do. I logged in to my credit card account to find that I not only was charged the $19.95 but also two charges of $9.90 for god knows what. This is ridiculous and should be a crime. What can I do to stop this. I can't even log in to my account to cancel my membership. Please help.

I've got to say that my experiences have been very different. Yes, there are fake profiles and, yes, there are billing issues from time to time, but I've had a great deal of success as well.

Also, I've never had a billing issue that went unresolved. Not sure why others are having that experience. Perhaps you're not complaining to the right email address or are not including pertinent information?

I'll also add that the site is dramatically improved in the last year or so, since sites' original owner/founder bought back the business.

Adultfriendfinder.com stealing money from credit card.

PLEASE CAN ANY ONE HELP ME
MY NAME IS: SAM
MY EMAIL IS: 3110.au@gmail.com

They are the most manipulative and cheaters on the net.
AdultFriendFinder is still charging my credit card for several months after I'd cancelled my account with them? Just before my three months membership ends on 1/3/2015, i closed my account and went to the place where you can stop the automatic renewal, and turn the auto-renew status to OFF. After that date till now i didn't login or used AdultFriendFinder website once, because i went overseas for work.
For several months they continued to charge my credit card, total of $384.89 Australian dollar, its around $300 USD as showing below:

I sent them too many emails to refund my money back, at the end they agree to give back only $73.500 USD.

Five years later, and they did exactly the same to me.

They require you to sign up for "gold" and pay for it. Then delete the profile after taking the money with no explaination and without responding to conatct and questions.

Simple theft.

In order to avoid the risk of unauthorized renewal, buy a gift card (WalMart, Target, etc.) and pay with that. You will still be at risk of being denied access, but at least they won't have your credit card number.

Adult friend scam - TOTAL SCAM BREAKDOWN: READ TO SAVE 39.95 & MORE

(remains unresolved)

When you call to ask for support, SOMEONE WILL ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD TO 'RESOLVE THE ISSUE', but in fact do nothing but review your account and steal your 'free account' information. They will then ask for your phone number, which is not even attached to your AFF profile as a verification method in any way. This is the first step of the scam called identity combing/phishing! The website is designed to force you to submit (and unknowingly authorize) use of personal financial information to bind you to recurring fees that are hidden in the terms and conditions. A person who doesn't speak well enough English or know US customs will access your account and continue asking for information. The more you call back, the more foreign the accent becomes! Eventually, they will not answer your call! This is a manipulation tactic used by scammers worldwide!

If you use a gift card to purchase a membership, IT WILL NOT WORK and YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CALL THEM (since you can only refund a gift card for store credit you will have no other choice but to use it). When you try to use your gift card to pay over the phone, guess what, it still won't work and AFF will pretend to retry. Now you just GAVE THEM ACCESS TO YOUR GIFT CARD PIN AND ACCOUNT PASSWORD for your AFF account. Accounts using normal banks will simply continue to be charged, while accounts with gift card purchases will be SHADOWBANNED. This is how modern romance scamming is operating. Companies like Tinder will shadowban and continue to take your money, but the terminology they use allows them to view you as a criminal and legally steal from you, although you are legally no criminal. Tinder cannot discriminate based on sexual related prosecution, so they will instead use shadowbanning, emotional manipulation, and financial corruption to fight against those 'IT DEEMS' to be criminal. Trust me, Tinder will see its day of vengeance for shadowbanning (which is romance scamming) and stealing money also. Don't take romance scamming seriously? Don't take my word for it... The FBI lists it as one of the top 10 worldwide scamming operations.

While romance scams steal your money daily, PHISHING SCAMS OPERATE OVER 5-10 YEARS. This means that all of the information they are stealing builds up into massive databases, then comes the conduction of one huge databreach to steal large amounts of money at once. That is why you should NOT give your personal information to this website and many other dating sites. Phishing scams will likely hit you 5, 10, even 20 years down the line! BEWARE!

AFF is likely under the same helm that runs escort sites and similar sex service websites. There could easily be 1,000 websites under the same operation! Pay attention to the voices and information squeezing done over the phone! The AFF site however, is very stealthy in the way they comb information. They will not threaten you like others, but they will just continue to manipulate you. This type of scam is a consumer fraud scam, but also combines romance scamming and phishing! Notice, when you set up an AFF account, you WILL START GETTING WEIRD PHISHING EMAILS IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER EXPOSING YOUR PUBLIC ONLINE INFORMATION.

(note: NEVER GIVE OUT A PASSWORD OVER THE PHONE - your bank won't ask and neither does any financial billing department with an online portal - coming from a finance pro, that is typically illegal since quality assurance poses a security threat when passwords are recorded).

Just hoping to help some fellas who are probably searching for real love to steer clear of manipulation. I would much rather go to a strip club and pay a gorgeous stripper $200 for a great time than search the dark scowers of the internet for a $600 bait-and-switch prostitute, or become the victim of romance scams like AFF
