I had signed up for one month's membership at a discounted price. At the end of the month I went online and canceled said membership to prevent any further charges. I had a bit of trouble with the cancelation but eventually successfully canceled my subscription...or so I thought.
The day of renewal I got a notice from my bank that I had overdrawn my account due to a $24.99 charge from adult empire. I quickly logged on to the website and removed my bank account details and contacted their "customer service". They basically called me a liar and said if I had troubles canceling I could have contacted them at any time for assistance with cancelation. I asked them why in the world would I contact them for help when I thought everything was successfully canceled? They had no response, just kept saying it is their "policy" like it is a federal law.
The only thing they offered me was 45 PPV minutes (an $8.99 value). Most of their PPV movies are a 2:1 rate - that is they charge 2 minutes for every minute watched.
They would not forward me to any type of supervisor or "higher tier" of representative. Trying to send their customer service department a fresh email resulted in a very rude, condescending response about what I had "already been told".
Even if you're not willing to issue a refund (the only company I've encountered that is completely unwilling to do so) at the very least do not treat customers like garbage.
This company throws the term "customer service" around quite loosely. Awful.

I didn't join, fortunately, but did purchase dvds and received them quickly. That's the good.
Now for the bad. Trusting their ad and not checking first, my bad, I purchased several VOD scenes and movies. Download to own. 400 Mb scenes take almost a 30 min. to download with frequent fail/resume notices. A 2.2 Gb movie took over 2 hours and I [censored] you not, more than three dozen fail/resumes. That's like really bad dial-up. Tech will tell you they have no problem it's at your end.
So I trouble shoot and seek help and find everything at my end is optimal. The proof; I go to other sites I've joined and even tube sites like XHamster and no problems. I can download larger files at higher resolutions in 5 min. tops! I still have about 7 gigs left to download, I hope I get them before I die of old age. Lots of good places to get porn, go elsewhere.
Purchased what I thought according to their order page 3 videos but when the order went through it included other items 20 other videos I had in my box to order later but all of them 350 dollars. I contacted them within ;40 secs to let me reverse / modify order but they refused. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and they refused to help. I would have purchased all items over time but their greed and lack of empathy for long term customers is appalling. Be careful when placing orders. I know it was my mistake but I should be able to fix something like this. Will never buy from them again. I will pay more and buy from cd universe which have accommodated me in the past when I made a mistake.
