HOA ABUSE
Last year I tried to have a payment plan worked out to pay back HOA dues because I was out of work for over two years. Once I got gainful employment I setup a play to pay and made payments as I should and still got a lien filed against my property. I then had to take out a payday loan for this lien to be removed and spoke before Linda Amphlett and basically was told your payments came too slow. Now I have the same situation because again no one informed me of an impending lien and was weary about going into another payment plan because the company lied to me last time. This is an abuse of power, they do not care about peoples situation nor the hell they are going through just to put food on the table for their family. The past few years have been hell for me and my family with me being out of work and I was always able to speak with and make an agreement with the previous HOA when I was working or getting money bu this company are nothing but bullies and do not care.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I hope things have gotten better for you since the date your complaint was posted. Losing a job is always stressful because the regular income has stopped, but pending obligations are still there. Those obligations include lights, water, food, shelter, car note, insurance, and yes, even HOA dues. As a former board member I can say often times homeowners wait until they are severly deliquent to try to work out a pay plan. In some instances when pay plans are granted, the homeowner doesn't keep his/her promise to pay. That ultimatey leads to a Lien which means you will have to pay the debt before you can secure any other type of credit and/or sell the house. That still is no reason to get a PayDay Loan. If you can't keep payment arrangments that are likely extended over a period of months, how on earth can you repay a payday loan that is due in full in two weeks (or whenever you get paid)? If the LIen happens again, skip the payday loan and just pay toward the deliquent HOA dues until the balance is paid in full, and then the LIen will be released.
I contacted my bank. They said the legally -- I agreed to the contract. Which I did! But, I only agreed to a good engine. The bank told me to ship it back. Get a tracking number - - they have to subtract the 25% and I'll get back about $950.00. Far, far less than I paid.
