So Agoda - in a way - stole my money. 615 EUR
Agoda confimed to me and my family a hotel Agoda allowed me to book a room for 5 people where hotel did not (but Agoda approved it) - It was AGODA MISTAKE and RESPONSIBILITY and actually I called the hotel to confirm this. and connecting the dots and let Agoda know about this issue.
Following the above, when I wanted a full refund, Agoda told me that it cannot be done so I excepted their "honest" offer to get AgodaCash that I'll be able to use it with other hotels in the future. They fooled me there. not stating any expiration date at all at any point. The expiration of the amount within 3 months was never delivered to me at any point until when I found that my AgodaCash is gone.
This claim is about Agoda taking responsibility for a mistake it did and is solely on Agoda. and is due to miscommunication/hiding information from the customer.
After all, this is actual money we are talking about here. I feel that that Agoda is waving the contract that this is the policy.
Claiming they sent an email which never got to me (just re-checked). Agoda never got acknowledgement from me that I saw and understand this expiration or never sent a phone notification/SMS. Again - this is about actual money!
This is not the service I would expect from such of an enterprise company
I would expect Agoda to take responsibility and pay the full amount - I have agreed, out of my curtsy to lower the amount to 400 EUR.
Again - From my perspective, Agoda literally stole my money (more than 600 EURO) - not communicating anything about the expiration.
In this case, I feel that I was treated not righteously and with arrogance.
Bottom line:
I asked Agoda to agree to my offer or refund of 400 EUR.
Should they agree - I will consider this issue as closed.
Should they not agree - I'll start a lawsuit.

I am very much disappointed by your services and unethical trade practice of AGODA.
I strongly object the way you swapped my Credit Card, which was just shared with you for a verification purpose.
That at the time of booking it was written clearly on your site that this booking does not need any credit card, but you people dis-honestly charged my credit card without my consent as i was supposed to pay at property.
That the hotel where we stayed is not a 3 star hotel, without any tea pot or any tea bags for making tea at least, and does not have a single bottle of water, and the room given to us was a filthy room meant for accomodating 4 pax where as we were 5 paxs. The wash Room was very un-hygenic and fittings were broken even the Wash besan stand was broken and it was without proper toiletries,
That even the Air conditioner was not perfectly working, I tried to brought it to the knowledge of the manager, several times but it was my useless effort.
That there was a great difficulty in communicating with the reception, as they do not know any language other than arabic, even senior manager does not knows English and i felt he is an Arrogant nature with lack of hospitality knowledge.
That i heard from the Hotel Staff that as i have booked through AGODA so this type of room has been provided to me otherwise if i had booked it through BOOKING .COM then i will be provided another catagory of room with all amenities.
That the total amount charged by the Hotel is Saudi Riyal 1, 389.20 which is equivalent to INR 25, 761/- whereas you have charged an amount of Rs.31, 627.84 .
That under the circumstance I request you to kindly refund the excess amount of Rs. 5, 867/- to my credit card account at your earliest.
That I am enclosing here with the picture of the Room as well as Wash room for your ready reference.
That I have already lodged my complain at your web page, but nothing has been done till date.
I request you to please look into the matter and solve this issue at the earliest otherwise I have to file my complain before the appropriate authority.

The worst service. I booked room from agoda.com. A week before i visited, they deducted amount from my bank account. I even got the confirmation that my booking is confirmed and paid. But when i visited, Waha hotel; receptionist denied to give me room. Receptionist told me that Agoda did not transfer my booking amount to hotel. So i was finally told to pay again. Both waha hotel and agoda have lack of communication and respect towards customers. Same day i have seen 3 customers suffering same issue.

Last week I booked through Agoda, for a property at Ooty(T.N, India).
Agoda site confirmed that the rooms are reserved and that I would only pay at the hotel directly, however a day or two later I received a mail from the property stating my booking is not confirmed.
On confronting the property via an email, they sent me a link to acknowledge the booking, and the Agoda customer service person gave me a confirmation email about the booking.
2 days before the trip, I happen to call the property and ask about the bookings once again, when they stated the rooms aren't confirmed, Agoda site was informed and that they haven't had any available rooms for over a month.
Both the hotel at Ooty and Agoda fooled and cheated the customer. Agoda credited 35$, which was as good as giving some beggar an alm. The hotel at Ooty, being an Indian I am not ashamed to say that they did show their true colors when it comes to cheat travellers. And at the end, my whole plan of vacationing was ruined.
Moral of the story: Agoda site is the most horrible site and I will make it a point to share it at every portal available to let people know how Agoda cheats people.
Also, if there is anyone out there who has filed a police complaint against the site, do let me know if I could help in any way.
What happened with me and my family, I wouldn't wish it on anyone else.

I want to complain about my 2 bookings (1st: [protected] and 2nd: [protected])!
1st booking was not entertained or attended to, and despite several channels I tried to contact Agoda, e.g. through emails but rejected, column to key in my request in manage my booking, change date options not available online and phone calls to Agoda leading me to nowhere, contacted hotel (Atlantis Resort Jomtien Beach, Pattaya) but I was informed only Agoda can change my booking, and etc! So, at last I have no other option but to cancel my booking and book again!
In 2nd booking, the rates charged is much more expensive, even Booking.com offers me cheaper rate! After my 2nd booking had been confirmed only Agoda offered me vouchers for RM200 discount, which when I tried to use it, but I get stuck and failed!
Can Agoda offer me the same rate as my 1st cancelled booking ([protected]) and also give me the RM200 further rebate as per your voucher offered to me after this 2nd booking ([protected])? I even noticed Booking.com offered me better rate than Agoda! I shall not use Agoda again if your service is so poor and my request are not taken seriously and solved immediately!

double charge on hotel in maldives
We have booked a hotel through Agoda to a hotel in Maafushi in Maldives. Straight away on our arrival at a hotel in Maldives we have been demanded to pay before they would check us in. Very same day Agoda has taken money out of my account. Both hotel and Agoda admitted there has been a double charge on my account but neither is rushing to pay me back. I have made countless numbers of phone calls where Agoda kept telling that they escalating the issue or can't reach the hotel or that the hotel phone number does not seem to work. Once, I had to look through my emails and supply Agoda with a correct phone number for the hotel. I am at my wits end and I really want a refund. They clearly don't have an agreement with the hotel that they are advertising as to who gets to charge the client. They have extremely poor communication with the hotel if they don't even know how to contact them I don't understand how do these people sleep at night taking money away from people who have been working hard to save up for a holiday.

Recently I booked Treebo Suresh Plaza hotel, Nashik through your website.
But, when I reached hotel on 27th April night. Owner told that have not received any booking from AGODA.
Reason: He told that they have no more tie up with AGODA. Now they have tie up with OYO group. Hotel was full and we have to look for a different hotel.
Kindly update your database for the hotel with whom you don't have any tie ups.
This time it was a very painful and bad experience as old people was also travelling with me and last moment we have to change the hotel. Pls avoid such embarassing things for my remaining trips/bookings.
P.S.: If you want to reconfirm then Pls check with Hotel owner directly.
hotel booking (booked a room for 2 adults and 3 kids and have been offered a room that can only accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids)
If there is a way I could rate this company less than 1 star I would have opted for it! A real ripp off!
We booked a hotel room for 2 adults and 3 kids, we received a confirmation by email and in Agoda's app that clearly states that the booking is confirmed for 2 adults and 3 kids, when we arrived to the hotel at midnight after 8 hours flight with 3 kids, we've been informed that the hotel system shows that Agoda has only booked a hotel room for 2 adults and 2 kids for our stay. We were left with one kid with no bedding.
After spending 2 days in discussions with Agoda customer service and the hotel front desk, which completely ruined our holidays, Agoda finally sent us an email stating clearly that they are happy for us to book an upgrade to accomodate the 5th person in our party and that they will refund the cost. We explained that the only option that the hotel can offer to accommodate the 5 of us was to book an extra room and Agoda customer service agreed again in writing that they will refund the extra cost upon reception of our invoice. After checking out from the hotel, I sent the invoice as agreed to Agoda with all the required details and an email from the hotel management explaining exactly the situation and the restrictions that they have due to NY law that doesn't allow them to add an extra rollaway bed to accommodate the 5th person . Agoda's customer service answer was that we should have accepted to share the 4 beds for the 5 of us and that they will not refund the extra room that they have initially agreed to pay in writing.
We have documented all our exchange with Agoda customer service and have an email from the hotel mangement explaining the situation that we had to deal with.
I am taking the case to court now but wanted to warn you all about this company... I am requesting the refund of the extra cost plus a compensation to cover the moral and financial damage that this booking has caused us. My kids and myself were left anxious and our long planned holidays have been ruined due to the unprofessional service that we received
Agoda hasn't honored the service that she sold us, they have been publishing wrong information about the room type and are now trying to step off their second written commitment to us authorising us to book a second room and committing to the refund.
Do not deal with them at all unless you want to waste your money...

Before submit a booking I sent an e-mail to the hostel with the subject "ferry from Nadi" and asked about the boat transfer costs. I was told that the pick up is free of charge. So I booked via Agoda.
Once we arrived we were asked to pay 160fjd. We were shocked. Standing on the island with no where to go, in the heat with all our bags. They blackmailed us.
The hostel refused to check us in.
Luckily we found someone to host us.
I went to the reception and called the owner Tui. I paid him 160fjd cash and we agree he won't charge us for the accommodation. Since we never checked in.
A few days after Agoda charged me the full amount! even I contacted them the same day amd explain everything. They made us wait days, i sent 5 emails, I even transferred the email Tui wrote to me with our agreement . Although, they replyed to me that the owner refused to admit and they won't refund me.
I was charged 160fjd and 2 nights for 2 people who bever ever stayed there.
Basicly stole my money.

I recently booked a hotel through agoda.com and had a terrible customer service experience and will not use them again. My booking was for flexstay inn shirogane in tokyo japan.
I was charged as a no show because I had received an email from flexstay stating "we're sorry, but your request cannot be approved at this time" and therefore I did not show up to the hotel and booked elsewhere. As I had just been on a 10 hour flight and was going through customs in japan when receiving the email, I needed to book somewhere else without investigating or phoning as to why "my request could no be approved." the next day I received a no show email from agoda and I emailed them to explain that I received an email from the hotel and therefore didn't stay at that location.
Agoda then said they are "merely a booking platform" and that I would have to deal with the hotel and that agoda could not help me. I then contacted the hotel and asked why I was charged as a no show when I was emailed by flexstay saying "we're sorry, but your request cannot be approved at this time." according to the hotel they had meant I could not have a non smoking room after the fact but had not mentioned this in the original email.
I explained to agoda my situation and each email came from a different customer service agent who said they could not help me as agoda has a no show policy and that they are just a booking site. Agoda also stated "we also get your frustration because we are customers as well aside from being one of the teams here in agoda."
Finally agoda stated "please note that this decision mainly came from the hotel and we at agoda do not have any control over their decision."
I would not recommend using agoda as a booking website as there customer service is terrible and they do not try to help make things right for customers.
booking hotels for earlier payment option
I have booked the 2 hotels through this site and faced the problem when reach hotel site as hotel owner refused to accept the booking and we have waited and wasted too much time at new cities.
My money has been deducted without getting rooms in hotel.
I want the compensation and strict actions against this so that other tourist will not suffer this problem in new cities.

Booking [protected] for Macau on April 18-20 I am very very disappointed on you agoda. I have booked a hotel on Mar 24 and confirmed the booking was successfulled in your web-site. I have received a message from HSBC that there are a payment had been done by Agoda. When my daughter checked in today, they said that there have not any booking for her. So stranger!
Then I called your hotline, they said that when the hotel was fulled, they will automatically to cancel the booking. But I have not received any email for this cancel booking notice. I was wasted HKD1700 to re-book the other hotel. I will not through Agoda to place any booking in future.

Booking [protected] for Hongkong last April 4-8 I am very very disappointed on you agoda and HK hostel 3/F Chungking Mansion. I don't know who's fault is it but I booked my hotel advance so that I'll have a place to stay and that it's already settled. I booked and used my credit card, agoda sent me a confirmation and so I thought it was okay since I've been using agoda everytime I travel. When I arrived at HK hostel they told me that I did not have any reservation because they can't use my card?! Why they only told me this now that I'm already in hongkong? They should have email me ahead of time so I can find another hotel! Agoda only sent me an email that the hotel can't use my card the same day I arrived in HK hostel? How can I still find other hotel? Everything was a disaster! No coordination at all! Everyday I have to look for any vacant room within the area because I do not have my reservation! Not only that all hotels were Fullybooked but all of them offered so high amount for one night! Their reason is last minute booking! Which is clearly not my fault! Instead of having fun on my supposedly vacation I have to look for a night to stay at 11:00pm! Because HK hostel told me to come back at 11pm because there might be cancelled reservation which I can take. This is traumatic agoda, I am very disappointed no one let me know ahead of time that my reservation was not guaranteed. That they can't be honored! So much hassle and stress looking for accommodation. I can not trust agoda and HK hostel anymore. This is not the service I expected. I hope you check the hotels in your website if they really deserve your trust, because honestly this is unacceptable. I booked online for OYO 5879 Radha Damodar Residency for June 22, 2019 Departure: June 23, 2019, they informed that
"We are sorry to inform you that your property, OYO 5879 Radha Damodar Residency, has advised us that they are unable to accommodate your booking as their contract has already expired with Agoda.com. As such, we would like to offer you an alternative property with no additional cost or, If the alternative property has a cheaper rate, Agoda shall honor the lower price."
I had to suffer loss of 2000 INR as I booked hotel in advance to enjoy holidays to get benefit of lower prices nbut agoda cancelled the booking as their contract got expired with the hotel.

I booked to stay in a guesthouse through agoda and they offered late check in. As I booked it (2 months before the date) I informed them I would be arriving at 2am. As 2am got close i realiaed my transport was late and i sent a message to the property to inform them i would arrive at 3am instead. I got a taxi straight there from the bus terminal as I had been travelling for 37 hours and was exhausted, I just wanted to sleep.
When I arrived at the accomodation there was a sign on the door saying if checking in late please call this number. I spent 30 minutes trying to call that number, the property number on agodas app and their number on Google and knocking on the door to no answer. I resorted to calling agoda, and the lady on the phone was not only unhelpful but made me extremely upset as after an hour on the phone she confirmed that there's nothing can be done I would have to walk around a city I didn't know at 3am by myself (female) to find alternative accommodation. I was very against this as i had all my belongings with me and it was now 4am and i did not want to be walking around by myself in the dark. But i had no other option because the agoda agent said they couldnt book me in anywhere else. So i gave in and started walking, I walked for 1 and a half hours, i found 2 hotels open but they were fully booked because it is songkran in Thailand and neither would let me sit in their reception area until day light. My safety was put at risk and I'm disgusted with how agoda treated me. Telling a scared person that they have to spend the night on the street, which i eventially had to do.
At 1pm I was able to check into a hostle, 10 hours after arriving in Chiang Mai. I had been forced to stay on the streets with out sleep, unprotected from the elements resulting in me having hundreds of bites all over my body.
It was a night from hell, thankfully nothing else happened to me while I spent a night on the street but due to extream lack of sleep and constant anxiety for a long time period i am now very sick and in a lot of discomfort from bites, and joint pain due to lying on concrete as I was too tired to stay sitting up.
Once I managed to get to a bed at 1pm I passed out with complete exhaustion and slept the rest of the day. It is now 13th and I have already lost 1 day of my planned holiday and wonder how much more I'll be unable to do due to the consequences of that night.
I am utterly disgusted by the way agoda treated me and how they knowingly put my safety in danger.

Hello concern, I booked two rooms for two days 3 april 2019 to 5 april 2019, my booking id is [protected], i paid cash through online. INR 2, 582.52, but hotel doesn't allow to check out. the hotel have no tie up this agoda.com.
