You have been warned about these Scsmmers
DISHONEST GREEDY CORPORATION! of epic per portion. I paid my monthly ransom to these thieves and then when I was robbed AKKO told me I never uploaded the required photographs when I established my account and then they changed their story to the photos were received after the loss. I logged on to my mobile app with AKKO and retrieved all the information reflecting they r lying. So I'm going to give u the bottom line this company makes their money purely from scamming peoples monthly premiums and they Do not pay claims. The positive reviews left about the company are solicited or from friends. I am going to start a class action against Akko if anyone has had problems with Akko please contact me at gar1 at usa .com Maybe Jared Brier the CEO would know why Akko has no working phones and they don't return messages when it's claim related
Recommendation: If you need to file a claim after a loss they simply victimize you again and to think you paid money for a Service u will never get. Your money would be better spent flushing it down the toilet bowl
AKKO is the worst when it comes to customer service
AKKO is the worst when it comes to customer service. It took them a whole 10 days to reject my claim, accusing me of lying. But I swear, everything I said was legit. Now, I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do because I paid for a service that they suddenly refuse to give me, all while tarnishing my reputation. Dealing with this company has been harder than filing a car insurance claim. And to top it off, there's no way to reach them by phone. Seriously, stay away from this company if you value your sanity.

The policy of AKKO is confusing and conflicting
The policy of AKKO is confusing and conflicting. I submitted a claim for my desktop, but I received an email (attached) stating that my claim is closed because the policy does not include mechanical or electrical problems. When I checked the links provided regarding the policy, it mentioned that coverage begins within a day. However, the next paragraph states that there is a 30-day waiting period for accidental damages, theft, or lost phones. None of these categories apply to my desktop, which is a mechanical issue.
I've been trying to get in touch with this company many times, but it's really hard
I've been trying to get in touch with this company many times, but it's really hard. When I try to log in, it doesn't recognize me. I even received a passcode, but it doesn't recognize the passcode they sent. A few months ago, I managed to contact someone who said they would cancel my account and refund my payments. However, I just realized that they are still charging me, and they have been doing so for months. Today, when I messaged a bot about this issue, they told me to fill out a cancellation form. I've already done that in the past, but it didn't have any effect.
I cancel the membership and this company still charged me the next day
I cancel the membership and this company still charged me the next day. I need my money back because when I filed a claim, they did not want to honor it. I called a few times and sent messages, and I did not get an answer. The only answer I got was when I canceled the insurance. They are a fraudulent company, and I want the money for the whole year I was paying for. It's about $165 for about 11 months. I am sending you a copy of the message I sent to AKKO on the 21st. I want a full refund of my money for the whole year.

I made a claim 'cause my stuff got stolen and it was covered by my policy
I made a claim 'cause my stuff got stolen and it was covered by my policy. The company made me report it to the police, which I did and sent it in. Then they wanted me to give them a video of the whole thing happening at the place where it got stolen. But the place said they didn't have any video. I told the insurance company and they asked for a letter from the place. But the place said no 'cause they were scared of getting blamed. I told the insurance company and they said they can't cover the claim 'cause there's no evidence of a break-in or forced entry. But they did give me a one month credit on my bill as a nice gesture.
I contacted Akko because there was a power surge in my home due to a hurricane that hit my state
I contacted Akko because there was a power surge in my home due to a hurricane that hit my state. The storm didn't directly impact my location, but the entire state was under a hurricane watch, and we experienced heavy rains and winds. I lost power during the storm and when it was restored the next day, my electronic devices wouldn't turn on. At first, they told me they don't cover items damaged by natural disasters. I explained that this wasn't a direct issue from a natural disaster and that the storm hit hundreds of miles away from me, causing residual effects where I am. They then sent me a link to a page on their own site that mentioned they cover damages caused by natural disasters. However, when I checked the next day, they had changed the page and removed that information. I don't appreciate feeling scammed and taken advantage of, and it seems clear that this is the case. There are still areas on their site that claim they cover items damaged by natural disasters. I provided all the necessary pictures of my devices, serial numbers, and other requested information according to their guidelines.
I used to be a big fan of Akko and convinced over 30 of my colleagues to switch to them
I used to be a big fan of Akko and convinced over 30 of my colleagues to switch to them. They seemed great until I actually needed their help. During midterms, I had to carry my tablet, laptop, and phone everywhere. Thankfully, my laptop was in the car when something unfortunate happened. I took my time getting out of the car and placed my tablet and phone on top of it to organize myself. Unfortunately, someone robbed me and took my bag along with my phone.
I was really upset, but I remembered that Akko had been reliable in the past. They had processed my previous phone claim within 24 hours. Since I needed a code sent to my phone to log into my online exams, I couldn't proceed without it. I expressed my concern about time in my emails to Akko, but it seemed like they did the opposite and ignored me. They passed me around to four different people and doubted my situation. Their website claims that most claims are resolved within 24 hours, but theft might take longer. Well, it has been nine times that (9 days) and they are currently ignoring me.
I pay them $15 every month to insure just two items, while other customers with fifteen items are taken care of immediately. I feel like they are singling me out and deliberately ignoring me. Clearly, they are nowhere near their promised 24-hour response time.
getakko.com is supposed to be an insurance company, but let me tell you, it's anything but simple
getakko.com is supposed to be an insurance company, but let me tell you, it's anything but simple. I've been dealing with them for 28 years and it's been a never-ending cycle of frustration. I honestly don't think getakko.com should even exist. I have a strong feeling that whoever started this company just took the money and ran after a funding round a few years ago. Their customer support is inadequate, and when I do manage to speak with someone, they either find it amusing or they're argumentative. I may not be a business owner, but my experience with getakko.com feels like a bait and switch.
Let me give you an example. I own a pretty expensive OLED TV from ***, and on their website, they clearly state the steps to get coverage for the device. Nowhere does it mention that you need to have the TV powered on with the serial number visible. I don't even understand how that's possible since the serial number is on the back of the TV. Other devices like phones and computers have accessible serial numbers, but not the TV.
When I filed a claim over a month ago to get my TV fixed, they didn't even realize that I had uploaded pictures and videos to their own website. I had to remind them three times. And now, they're just making up excuses to avoid following their own policies regarding repairs or replacements for my TV. I followed all the instructions and did everything I was supposed to, but they seem to know less about me than I know about them.
Honestly, I believe getakko.com scammed investors, set up a fake insurance company, and disappeared with the money. People like me are left dealing with their lack of integrity and broken promises of "insurance" or "coverage." This goes beyond a simple TV repair or replacement. Based on what I've experienced, I don't think getakko.com should exist at all. It's like a never-ending loop of LLCs, people, and nonexistent individuals. Save yourself the trouble and don't get akko.
I've been paying for their insurance service for my devices
I've been paying for their insurance service for my devices. I had an incident while on vacation and my devices got damaged. I filed a claim for my TV about 10 days after the incident. I also filed a claim for my other devices that were damaged while on vacation around February 22nd. Since then, I've been called a dishonest person and a scammer. I've been discriminated against and put under a lot of stress because of this. My doctor even said that the stress could make me sicker. They keep denying my claim and don't even read or understand what I wrote. I clearly stated that the incident happened on the 1st or 2nd of February, and I didn't file the claim until the 19th. But they insist that the TV was damaged before the claim day and refuse to help me. They ignore me and cut me off. So I started emailing the business every day to harass them. They asked for receipts and information, and I did everything they asked. But then they said, "Oh no, sorry, you can't take your device to a repair shop without telling us." I was like, "It's been over 2 months and you haven't done anything to assist or help me." So I tried getting it repaired myself and was quoted $600 plus storage fees because it had been over 30 days. I told the AKKO agent about this, and they told me I can't do anything until they give permission. Then a manager emailed me and said they're not going to help me or honor my claim because they say I didn't inform them and that I'm giving false information. But they're the ones not reading my emails correctly and already judging and defaming my character. I've repeated myself over and over and sent them screenshots of conversations, but they still deny my claim. Their ads say "no documents, unlimited claims, 24 to 48 hours," but they didn't respond to my claim for over 39 days. I had to email them five more times just to get a response. I've read reviews and I'm not the only one paying for their service and not getting it honored. Instead, they ignore us or come up with excuses and demands. So please help me and my family replace our devices. Thank you. Add screenshots. Lies, lies.
