I booked a coach holiday to the monarch hotel in Bridlington with ALFA travel on the 23rd of July 2024 on my arrival I was allocated room 403 when I walked in I felt sick wallpaper was hanging off the TV had no power button and one of the panels at the side of the TV was missing exposing wires, and it was full of dust when I went into the bathroom I almost...

Alfa coach travel.
It took us 12 hours to get home from the New Beach Hotel in Great Yarmouth .From 9am till 9-30pm.
First there was a puncture and everyone had to get off the coach it took the tyre fitter till 3 o’clock to come.Then we all got back on the coach only to find it would not start so we all got off again.At 4 o’clock another bus came and we had to take our things onto that.When we finally got going we had to get off and change to another coach at Blyth services needless to say we were absolutely shattered and my wife has Copd and the stress brought it on worse.we would like some compensation for all this stress we have been through.

On the above date we booked the above tour in March 7th when we enjoyed it so much we booked again for the same tour, The problem began we we went to catch our coach at Burtonwood services. Our luggage label stated C1 coach, so went to wait for the coach filling up and got on to our reserved seats at the back. That was one of the reasons we bookes when we did as the hotel said we had pick of seats as no one else had booked. You got a discountif you booked before leaving. Our coach was full then the driver Shaun got on and shouted Coates we said yes he then informed us we are on the wrong coach I said no our label says C1 he said no office must have made a mistake so you need to go to coach next door C2. We went to get on this coach and then found out this was a private party which didnt help us although the driver Iain was very helpful. This also caused problems at dining room with us we were seated with another couple who were on the C1 coach so staff were bringing one lot of meals and the others were having to wait. We are very disappointed the way we have been treat.
Desired outcome: We think we should have some form of compensation.
Holiday, from hell
I have just come back, from a holdiay, from hell, as I booked, a holiday, on the 22nd, may,. 2022, to dunoon, and when I got there the peopel, they put me with, never spoke, for 7 days, nor the ones in the hotel, so I was in silence, for 7 days, what a holiday, from hell that was, this has happened, to me, 2 times, before, and this is the 3rd, time, so I am never going back to alfa, travel, again, to sit in silence, for £379,00 I could of sit a t home,
For less, and then to put the top hat on, it, I h ad to sit in my room, and watch, telly for 7 days, I did not book, a holiday, for 7 days, to sit in my room, and watch, telly I could do that
At home, for far less, this was definately, the worse holiay, I have ever had, 3 strikes, and I am, out

Seating arrangements
I booked a holiday, with alfa, coach, travel, to dunoon, and I did not enjoy the trip, as it was coach, off, coach, off, coach, off, then there was the seating, arrangements, they were horrendous, you put me on a table, with 2 women, who had nothing in common, with me, or each other, so we had to eat in peace, which was also horrendous, as I booked for 7 days, and for 7 days, we had to eat in peace, breakdfaset in p[eace, and diinner in peace, what a terrible, holiday, I h ad, never again, am I going on a alfa, holiday, this has happened, to me, 3 times, before, onece in eastbourne, then in torquay, now, in dunoon, never again, I shall try another, company, to go, with and see what that is like, and who I am going to sit next to, that is all I can say about my holiday, terrible, terrible, terrible, 0/0 bloody awful,

Room not given a room with disabled shower and bathroom problem
Tour 200 to Isle of Wight 29 august booking noELB50 we arrived were given a room with a great big step into bathroom my husband is blind so I informed reception and Alfa had not forwarded information given on phone to Alfa we had a phone call before we went asking what needed was not sent to hotell as hotell full every time in night my hubby used bathroom I had to take him so no rest for me next day changed to a room sadly no room with shower so for 8 days husband unable to shower we are regular s with Alfa travel and we're not happy mrs Irvine e mail [protected]@outlook.com.

We have just come back from a 6 night break in Weston super mare at the Anchor head Hotel.
We arrived on Sunday 22nd August and allocated room 202. Enter room and immediately noticed bed looked creased, so pulled back covers to clearly see it had not been changed. There were also long black hairs too. Immediately went to complaint and was told it would be sorted straight away. 2 maids promptly came up and asked us to leave the room whilst they changed the beds. We were not impressed. We unpacked and hung up our clothes, then went into the bathroom and realised the room hadn't been cleaned at all. We were horrified, went to pick up the phone to complain and realised it was covered in dust. Had to go down stairs again to complain. By this time we really didn't want to be in this room. Reception manager told us there were no more rooms available, so he said he would come up and give it a quick clean shortly and arrange a deep clean the next day. Too little too late especially in these covid times. Hygiene should be a priority. We had no choice but to stay in the room despite our plea to move rooms. If this wasn't bad enough, we also had a frequent waft of sewage and stale water. One night it was persistent all night. Woke up feeling sick and had a head ache. Went to reception, no one there. Spotted the cleaner and asked her directly if the hotel had a sewage problem, she replied yes. Reception took details and said she would get someone up to flush it through, brushed over the sewage problem. Continued to get frequent wafts for the rest of the holiday. Our window was open permanently to try and get fresh air in. Window in bathroom wouldn't open.
Worsed room we've had, and certainly didn't look forward to coming back from our coach trips. Our holiday was spoilt. We have no doubt you will book someone else in that room without finding out what the problem is.
Suspect you will reply with a (sorry). Sorry is too late, our holiday was spoilt, and we had to put up with it. Shame on alfa, we expected better. We never even got our questionnaire to fill in at the end of our stay, we obviously know why.
The hotel was clearly struggling and under staffed. The staff were all very good, polite and helpful. Nevertheless, it was frustrating at times.
What a horrible stay, and a waste of money. We do feel we should be offered compensation, as we weren't given a choice but to put up with it. We have been with alfa many times before without any problems.

Covid
My mum was due to travel with 2 other ladies to Scotland Monday 19th July. My dad tested positive to covid yesterday so my mums friend rang Aloha and asked about a refund due to her being told to isolate. She was told by Alpha for my mum to get a test and if she tested positive she could go!
I have emailed Gov.uk and have been told this is totally illegal my mum cannot go out for 10 days due to isolation!
I can imagine the coach will be full of older maybe vulnerable people so this is totally unacceptable!
My mum should have a full refund!
I will be taking this further.
