Incorrect Reporting of Account to Credit Agencies
Ally is HORRIBLE!
I paid the final lease payment on my car and turned in the car back in March 2021. Ally has yet to report to the credit agencies this account has zero balance, and it still shows I owe over $2000 on the credit agency websites. However when I check my Ally account it shows a balance of $400, yet Ally sent me a refund check for $448. How does this make any sense!

Desired outcome: UPDATE ACCOUNT AND CREDIT AGENCIES
Ally making glade late payment reports to credit companies
Ally is scamming it's customers. If you make a payment later than 10 days then they assess a late payment fee. The issue is that WHEN u make your monthly payment WITH the extra $10.00 they take that $10.00 and apply it to your principal and you are thinking it was applied to the monthly bill. Now, since they apply it to the principal balance due they take the late charge and carry it over to the next month past the 30 day mark and your credit rating is affected. CLASS ACTION NEEDED!
Desired outcome: Corrected credit report
customer service
Bad customer service with poor knowledge. Different customer service each time with email reply. kicking balls around, no one get the question answered.
Left front blinker light damaged
My Vehicle, Camaro Chevrolet 2014 suffered damages during repossession in my drive way to the left front blinker light. When I went to pick up my vehicle the left blinker light was completely out and the stereo system was unmounted and poorly mounted back with the wires still hanging out of the dash board. also the gear shift change was plaster with some chemical they used when unmounting and mounting back the stereo that also need to be replaced. I did email the repossession company Rapid Recovery Agency via a compliant email but I have yet to receive a response. I have spoken to Ally Financial and they keep giving me the run around. I need help in resolving these 3 damages they did to my vehicle during the repossession on March 9. 2021, at 107am. I am only requesting they fix what they damaged.
My name is Marilyn Castillo and the vehicle VIN # is 2G1FA1E32E9263287, that was being financed with Ally Financial repossessed at the request of the Ally by Rapid Recovery Agency on 03/09/2021. At 15994 sw 303 terr, Homestead Fl. 33033.

Desired outcome: For the 3 damaged vehicle parts be repaired
IRA Transfer
Ally is generally an ok bank for simple saving and checking. Avoid anything else.
The Customer Service is poor. Most reps are not trained well. The e mail replies would be comical if they so frustrating and illinformed. Moving money between ira accounts is very difficult. I have done it 3 times with an Ally rep guiding me. They have all taken weeks. This last time has been the worst 50 days to move $1700 and it is still not complete.
Desired outcome: Complete it
Ally invest, bank transfer
Approximately 45 days ago I called Ally to transfer funds from an Ally bank account to an investment account. The Ally representative sent me the form and helped me fill it out. I asked if any other forms were needed. He replied no. I submited the form on line. Approximately 2 weeks later I recieved an e mail asking me to call them at a provided phone #. I called 5 times and was left on hold for 30+ minutes or told I had called the wrong # and re routed only to be left on hold again. I sent several e mails and the additional forms with no reply.
Approxmetly 2 weeks ago I was able to get someone on the phone. He assured he would process the transfer and have a manager call me. I haven't recieved any calls. I did receive 2 emails with different case #s but when I replied to the e mails I get no reply or just a confirmation that the e mail was recieved but no help from Ally to resolve the issue.
Desired outcome: Get a manager to call and complete the transfer
Literally pay for dissatisfaction
There are many things in life that I would rather do other than deal with something that I pre-pay to be handled. I chose the Major Guard top notch policy with Ally Auto when I purchased my vehicle. There have been a couple of times where they held their end up, even with a transmission change (took 16 days to figure out). I have taken the time to dissect the issues I had with the shop and the issues I had with Ally Auto. After having doing that, I still come to the conclusion that the Ally Auto is absolutely not worth for principle reasons. I experienced two sore issues that were overbearing that I will explain. The first one basically comes down to the roadside service (included in my Major Guard policy- one of the reasons I chose the premium policy.) I had a battery blow up in my jeep with my child in the car and was on the side of the road, did everything I was supposed to according to my policy and FOUR hours later (after having called several times where my roadside assistance was) I called for a final time to be told "oh, we must have forgot to call you and tell you that the person we "sunt" out to you cancelled their trip." I was sick to my stomach. Second time was a transmission that was faulty that they took their time on to get moving on my claim then had to audacity to tell me "we gave you two extra rental days." After it was all said and done I ended up paying too much out of pocket ($319) for rental fees that I was promised would be reimbursed. Nothing was resolved with either issue, especially not customer satisfaction that I LITERALLY HAD TO PAY FOR. Eager to accumulate money and constituents on a car for extended warranty, but not eager to follow up with their sides of the policy. I will no longer be conducting business once this warranty runs out and will highly instruct my loved ones to do the same.
Desired outcome: To be totally reimbursed for the rental fees I was told I would be reimbursed for.
Car loan
I was and still am impacted by the Covid 19 through no fault of my own to the loss of my part-time job to supplement my SSI and was also impacted by the Houston snow storm in February with minor home damage due to a busted frozen water pipe repair out of pocket expenses. I have an excellent car payment history and excellent credit rating with Experian. I had requested a re-write due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances to lower my car payments so I can make ends meet since I am on SSI yet the girl I had been talking to representing Ally in the Philippines on the other side of the world said that they, (ALLY), could not do me a re-write to lower my monthly car payments. Desirable resolution is to help me lower my monthly car payments.
Desired outcome: To help me lower my monthly car payments.
Owed bank charges
Made a larger than normal Truck payment on March 8th, 2021 it went through my bank and was paid. The exact same amount was billed to my bank again the next two days and as returned insufficient funds because had already been paid and withdrawn the first time. It was again sent to my bank a second time on March 15th, 2021 and returned with another return charge billed to me again by my bank in overdraft fees. So now i'am charged 35 dollars twice for a total of 74 dollars and Ally says they declined paying me back when it was there incompetence that i got billed two times afterwards which shouldn't have ever happened. After at least 6 calls with people i couldn't understand and they had a problem understanding what i was talking about and also providing proof they still couldn't figure it out i finally just paid off the full amount and told them i would never do business with them again.
I never seen so much incompetence at different levels with no results.
My account number is [protected]. All i want is the fees charged to me by my bank of $74 . The amount of 2903.60 was paid the first time.
My account page also said i was overdue on a payment for march when it was paid, but they tried taking the same amount an second and third time which resulted with overdrafts from my bank. They told me that they only send a request for payment one time never a second, but someone sent two more times to my bank afterwards.
Desired outcome: All i want is the $74 i was charged for returned insufficient funds fees by my bank.
customer service
We ere called twice to answer questions about our recent finance with Ally for our new car. the woman made many errors, in giving and receiving our information and she was not audible or understandable . We were kept on the phone for too long confirming information they had already confirmed in another phone call to us. It was stressful, and hopefully recorded. You should be more careful with who you are hiring.
Desired outcome: call us back to address this
Refund from closing car lease
Ally sent me a letter dated 12/17/2020 that I was going tot be receiving a refund. Never received check and called back in January 2021. Was told the first check would be voided and another check would be mailed. Called back beginning of March (3/2) and was told they had to look into it and I need to call back in 2 days. Called back (3/4) was on hold for over 2 hours and got disconnected. (Pic of phone screen attached)
Desired outcome: Someone from Ally to call me and not me having to call multiple times to find out where is my refund
Ally is HORRIBLE!
I paid the final lease payment on my car and turned in the car back in March 2021. Ally has yet to report the credit agencies this account has zero balance, and still shows I owe over $2000 on the credit agency websites. Customer Service Protocol
Greetings,
I received a check from my insurance company with my name & Ally's name for me to use the funds to fix my vehicle (I hit a deer). I asked my insurance company if I could be the one to fix my car (I am more than competent to do so), they said Yes if that is what I want to do. I originally took my vehicle to a dealership i used to work at to get it fixed and they had some miscommunications with my insurance company so long story short i decided not to use the dealership, to fix my vehicle myself. The vehicle is basically just a parts repair, no body work or engine or anything like that. I sent the signed check to your facility and waited for your company to contact me. Your company ended up contacting my father who is the cosigner on my vehicle. I had to reach out to Ally after my father touched base with me. I asked that the check be signed and returned so I can then use the funds to fix my car... which is what the insurance check is for.
Your team told me that I needed a letter from the dealership stating that my vehicle was fixed before they would sign the check. I explained to them that I was the one fixing my vehicle and I need the check to buy my parts. They then kept reiterating that PROTOCAL was to get the vehicle to a dealership and have them write a letter stating the vehicle has been fixed and that I should take my car to a dealership.
However No one would answer me as to what the protocol is when you are fixing your own vehicle.
No where in my contract does it say that I can not fix my own vehicle.
Desired outcome: A check from your company for $3,159.02 or for your company to pay for next day shipping so I can send the check back to your company, you all sign it, and I can fix my vehicle, and any left over funds will be applied to my vehicle loan.
Money transfer
Hi
I requested wire transfer way before cut off time. They have not processed in the same day I requested. They have all kind off excuses. They holding my money up.
Will never ever do business with this company.
Desired outcome: Keep their promise
Investment
I am closing on my house. I requested a transfer to my LINKED account over 15 days ago if not a longer. I have spoken to at least 5 representatives all giving me wrong information. I was told the money would be in my account on Feb 5th then the 6th then the 12th then the 15th and then the 16th as the final latest day it could be in there. Still not there! I am in danger of losing my first home buy because of this. I will be contacting the BBB. I have tried contacting them through email, chat and phone. I have been on hold multiple times on the phone for over three hours before speaking to someone only to have them give me incorrect information. I am currently on hold now (sitting at 2.45 hours) and if the money isn't transferred into my account today I will be filing an official complaint to the better business bureau. I know they are busy and that some things are out of their control but the amount of times I have been given incorrect information, the amount of time that has passed and the fact I might not be able to close on my home in time is absolutely ridiculous. I will be pulling the remainder of my money from Ally Invest and moving it to a company that is actually available to help with my customer service issues and let me manage my money in a timely manner.
Desired outcome: Request transfer into my account TODAY
Poor customer service
As seen in other reviews this company has very poor customer service. They transfer you all over, tell you they will work with you on your account (all lies) and then hang up on you. Can't wait to get rid of them. Never had such poor customer service and nasty employees to deal with. I even had someone who scheduled a call back because their system was down (doesn't it figure) and they never called back.
Desired outcome: Investigate their business practices.
Ally Invest - AVOID!!!
They don't pick up the phone. AT ALL.
Unfair treatment/discrimination
Ally Auto Account Number: [protected]
This is my second vehicle financed by Ally Auto. The previous vehicle was a Mercedes Benz, which I paid off before time in full; hence I'm a good customer.
Due to the COVID-19 furlough, I had requested more time to pay my current Ally auto payments. I was asked to contact via chat, and I did on Dec 08, 2020. I was assured that I would not be paying any interest etc., till the end of January 2021. However, I received an email from Ally in early Jan 2021 that I was late in payment. Then, on Jan 08, 2021, I contacted Ally auto via email and phone. Email reply was an auto-reply from Ally asking me to call. I have tried several times to call Ally auto but was promptly placed on hold for more than 45 minutes. I called a few more times to work something out with Ally auto, but every time was placed on hold.
Ally auto never called me back or replied to my emails to work out a payment plan or a resolution. I believe I have been treated unfairly inspite of having an excellent paying history.
I also think that Ally Auto may unfairly send a negative report to credit bureaus.
Hence, I am requesting that Ally Auto cancel my payments for a couple of months and retract any negative report sent or work out a payment plan.
I'm hoping that this can be resolved in a mutually agreeable term. We may contact the attorney general, social media and news organization, and other state and federal authorities for what I believe is unfair treatment by Ally auto. I believe I am a victim of Ally Auto's predatory business practices as I'm being forced to pay without making any current concessions due to COVID-19.
Thank You,
RG
Desired outcome: Ally auto needs to contact me and work out a payment plan. Also, they must retract any negative credit report that was sent to Credit Bureaus.
Lien release
On Dec 4 2020, I called Ally for a lost title replacement. They found it and said there was no lien on it and it would arrive in 7-10 days. Since that date I have contacted them at least a dozen times. Still no lien release received! I have to have the original not a copy. I have saved the phone calls for every time I called them and all the conf code #s. Talked with them again about 30 min ago and was given the same old story. Do these people not know how to mail anything? Are they paid to lie? I will never deal with Ally and recommend that no one else does. My next step will be an attorney and Ally will have to pay attorney fees.
Desired outcome: Lien release received in mail in 7-10 days or else!
Car was paid off on 3/31/2020 it is now 2/1/2021 still no title!!!
As stated above my car has been paid off for almost a year. Every time I call ally to ask where my title is I get "we will mail it to you" I called about two weeks ago and was told that the person I spoke with before didn't properly request for my title to be released. She assured me that she would take care of it and follow up with tracking info. She never did. I called again about a week later and was told that previous operator I spoke with never requested the title to be released... And he would take care of it. A week goes by and I get a letter congratulating me for paying off my car a year ago! Still no title. Tried the chat feature on their website and was told that they requested a paper title from the dmv and it would be sent to me fedex 2 day priority. But they have no idea when they will receive the title from the dmv. Sound familiar?
I will never do business with ally ever again! And i'll be sure to tell complete strangers what complete [censored]s they are
Automatic deduction
Ally insures my car and they took three deductions (automatic) from my account in a row. One on the 23/november, 25/november and december 26. I have no money in my account - 150+ and they will not refund me my 26th dec. Payment. We are broke the week after christmas with no money to buy food or gas. Ally caused this and the fact that I can not feed my children for the past two days means nothing to them. Process process process is all I hear from their indifferent hearts. Ally and lied and cheated me and I am furious and will go higher with my complaint. Talk truth to power
Desired outcome: My money retruned and in my account today
