hello AA,
me and my wife bought a ticket just today 24/3/22 via visa card.The flight schedule was given to us which didnt exist...the refernce number given was 818393. the flight schedule which was given by AA is not true and was a lie.
we both wanted a refund but some how could not or able to get refund.

I booked a return ticked on 25 Nov 2021 DXB-HRE. Traveled to Harare but failed to make up the return leg due to covid related flight cancellation. Alternative airlines failed to provide me with a timely alternate travel option and I ended up booking another ticket.
Requested a partial refund on 2 Feb 2022 and until now no action from Alternativeairlines. Made numerous followups for the same.
Alternative airlines customer service leaves a lot to be desired especially from one Gavin Johnson.

I bought a ticket with alternative airlines using Klarna, they never sent me the confirmation number and I was at the airport unable to get in the flight with my daughter. I tried to call and do everything I could I eventually had to buy two more tickets. They’ve been trying to charge me 760 dollars for two one way tickets I never received. I’ve filed multiple complaints however it doesn’t seem as though they care. If the tickets were not in my email there is no way I could board the flight.

This Alternative Airlines is a FAKE company. I bought a ticket on 9th February 2022 for a flight on 16th. They never sent the flight ticket just discover from airport that the receipt is not part of their list.
From 16th, I sent 100 emails to Alternative to refund back my money in vain...they said the have refunded to my bank just a lie to play with me and save time.

I booked a ticket thru Alternative Airlines in Oct thru Afterpay so as not having to come out of so much money at once. It has been paid off WITH the protection totaling $738.20. The wedding I was attending was forced to be cancelled due to new COIVD restrictions, I initially submitted an application for a refund b/c why am I going to the Bahamas by myself if the wedding isnt happening? They declined it saying they do not refund for COVID reasons. About a week later I got news that my many attempts at IVF were successful and I am now pregnant. My doctor does not want me to travel due to being so high risk. I basically had to BEG to get the application back open to submit my reasoning and evidence. Once they finally did it was immediately declined b/c they dont cover COVID. I went back and forth with different people at 11pm-3am CST for about 3 weeks straight explaining that this is a NEW pregnancy complication that should be covered. I submitted my doctors note and invoice as requested. Alternative Airlines should be ashamed of even using this company. When I reached out to them they said they could do nothing. I have submitted a dispute with my bank and hopefully it goes through but I'm not sure how it will work since I went through Afterpay to Alternative Airlines and then Refund Protect

Flight trip purchase
The issue that I have experienced was: I booked a round trip flight for my daughter whom is the traveler. I purchased the trip via AFFIRM a financing company that allows you to pay over time. My daughter arrived at the airport 3.5 hours early to check in and check her bags, She was in long lines and waiting for 2.5 hours at Spirit airlines on Dec 28, 2021, after waiting to get checked in, she made it to the counter and agent explained she missed her flight. Spirit airlines apologized and stated will offer a full refund on the flight. And they did. However, No flights available for her to fly until the 30th and that was inconvenient date for her since she had no transportation on that day to make it back to airport. So refund was accepted. I explained this to Alternative Airlines in an email and they took more than a full day to reply. I have asked them to cancel the departing flight as well and issue full refund to AFFIRM so that my loan can be cancelled. Alternative Airlines refuse to accommodate even though the airline (Spirit) departing flight acknowledge this was at not my daughter's fault at all, Alternative Airline refuse to accommodate. A receipt of Spirit airline refund has been provided as well. I asked for refund.

Don't use this company. Paid $60 extra to ensure I could get a refund if any changes
occurred. I bought a total of 6 tickets for my family paying an extra $360. Plus the $600 fee for using this company. Total amount I lost was $1705, never to be seen again. I thought I was buying directly through the airline company I chose. When changes in my situation occurred, I was unable to get a refund, or even postpone the flight . I should have read the small print, they really fooled me. Steer clear of Alternative Airlines, they have nothing to do with any airline, just a third party ripping off hard-working people like myself. I don't ever want to travel by plane again after this experience.
Hours after leaving the above comment, I was offered a lousy $170 voucher to remove it. I have contacted both the actual airline Rex Airlines, and Alternative Airlines, they blame each other's policies for my situation. No one wants to take responsibility.

I booked a flight through alternative airlines for Febuary 20th, 2022, booking #
681958.
My reservation was advertised as including a carry on item. According to volaris, the carry on luggage was not included in my booking. I am only allowed a personal item, and must pay $57 separately for a carry on bag. I booked on the flight through alternative airlines on afterpay for $267.35. The airline, Volaris, shows the ticket only costs $207.97. With such a large discrepancy in price, I feel like this is an error.
On 12/12/2021, I contacted alternative airlines for a solution.
On 12/13/2021, I received a response from senior customer service representative Pollyann, which is pasted below.
"Good evening,
Thank you for your reply.
Please be advised, the carry on item is a personal item. At time of booking you were given the option to add additional luggage, such as a carry on or checked baggage and this was not selected at time of booking.
Please note, you booked through us due to the payment methods available, there are agency fees involved in this from us and the payment provider you selected. You have not been scammed as you have a live reservation which you have been able to verify on the airline's website."
Due to this I have to pay out of pocket directly to the airline Volaris for a carryon.
Airlines have 3 distinct types of luggage, (personal item, carryon, checked bag) all of which are distinguished by size. By claiming the carryon is actually a person item, is a very misleading and deceptive tactic. Had I known this was how alternative airlines does business, I would have booked through different company.at this point I beleive alternative airlines should reimburse me $57 by check, for the money I had to pay out of pocket for a carryon item due to their deceptive wording and advertising.

I bought tickets off this company 1 month and a 1/2 in advance. I called airlines today to make sure we'd be all good for my bf's bday & I sent them an email I have not heard from them! I am so pissed off. All the reviews I should have read. They are fraudulent. They took my money & now I am out $420! I have called there number goes directly to a voicemail. Spirit airlines said they refunded my money back a while ago sept 10! I have to take it up with them. Like why not get ahold of me!

I am requesting a refund. I received an email from Chloe on Oct. 2, 2021 at 5:37am (CST) - 11:37am (GMT), stating that she can only offer me a voucher for a rescheduled trip if I give her the dates I would like to travel as I purchased a non-refundable ticket, however per Alternative Airlines website (https://www.alternativeairlines.com/how-to-cancel-a-flight) under "CANCELLING FLIGHTS WITHIN 24 HOURS - Although every airline has a different policy, a small number of airlines will allow you to cancel flight tickets within 24 hours and give you a refund, even if you've bought a non-refundable airline ticket. If you've bought an airline ticket and want to cancel it the same day, we ask that you contact us before 8pm (GMT) and request to cancel your flight, so we can try our best to get you a refund from the airline."
Included in that "small number of airlines that will allow you to cancel flight tickets within 24 hours and give you a refund, even if you've bought a non-refundable airline ticket", is American Airlines as per their website (https://www.aa.com/i18n/customer-service/faqs/customer-service-faqs.jsp) under "Refunds and receipts - You have up to 24 hours from the time of ticket purchase for a refund if you booked at least 2 days prior to departure. The 24-hour refund policy applies to all ticket types, but you have to cancel the trip to get a refund.*
*If you bought your ticket through a travel agency or another booking source, contact them for a refund."
I booked said ticket on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 6:10pm (CST), making it October 1, 2021 12:10am (GMT) your time.
When it was brought to my attention that I needed to CANCEL this ticket I immediately started searching the web for an Alternative Airlines contact number. I was unsuccessful contacting Alternative Airlines via the following telephone numbers:

Please help me understand why my ticket is non-refundable when I canceled within the 24-hour cancellation time frame and during Alternative Airlines hours of operations 9am - 8pm (GMT) as well as "before 8pm (GMT)". Could you also help me understand why your phone lines are closed as I am NOT the 1st nor am I the only customer to have this issue with contacting Alternative Airlines. This is also not due to COVID-19 as I have seen reviews from 4 years ago with the same issue

I have tried for several weeks to speak with customer service to update/change my flight information. I keep getting emails from Pollyann, Hannah, Anne M., and now Paula - a different person each time- with no resolution to my request. This is ridiculous.
I have requested a call to speak with someone because they have disconnected their phone lines.
I need to speak with a person! The emails are unclear and one even gave conflicting information from the other.
I am updating flight information and there should not be any exorbitant costs to do so.

I booked a flight to Jamaica July 29, 2021 for a birthday trip for myself for August 25-29th of 2021. I purchased insurance on my flight because I'm a person that always gets insurance. You never know what may happen. Not even a full week after booking, I started to have problems with my right eye. At first, I didn't think it was really bad, went to the doctor I was told I had pink eye. Ok, so I did the necessary steps to rid myself of pink eye, but it got worse and over the course of a few weeks I have been in and out of emergency rooms and doctors offices with complications with my eye. I was diagnosed with a rare eye condition and my doctor advised me not to travel, as I will be closely observed over the next few weeks or months depending on how my body responds to the medicine. I'm truly devastated at the fact that I had to cancel my trip but with my sight being impaired, I had to. I read the refund policy and did the necessary steps and submitted a claim. They asked for specific things so I showed my eye doctor the email and she wrote a handwritten letter explaining my diagnosis and future appointments regarding my eye and "management" is giving me the complete run around. My flight was over 1200 dollars. That's a lot of money. Due to my emergency condition I'm not able to go on this trip and this company is not standing by their word. Instead they keep constantly sending over emails asking for more and more information and also went and far as completely breaking down the letter and making it say what they want it to say. I will not recommend this airline to anyone. This is a fraud company that's doesn't care about it's customers and costumer service is horrible.

rude customer service and corruption of baggage weight
Me and my friend flight from Pontianak to Kuala Lumpur on 29 th of October 2019. We measure our baggages that each of us got 30 kg. The staff round our baggage from8.90 to 10 kg. We got 2 baggages ech person and they round it as they like. Not until then, until the cabin measurement was crazier. They ask us to measure our travel neck pillow and all the wallet in a small travel bag even power bank. They forced us to bought excesses baggages by saying our cabin is more. The funny things was it is only happen to me and my friends. The others passangers were not asking to do the same. After that, the staff communicate with the baggage measure staff (grund ground floor) to make sure we buy extra baggages. I feel like they are doing corruption together to gain money. They even lied to us if we don't buy more baggages. The flight was due soon, it wil leave us. With this situation, me and my friends were forced to pay more. The more funny things were we transiy to the next country ( stayed ant Kuala Lumpur for one night). We even don't need to pay extra baggage while travel to Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. And we were allowed to bring our small bag with a cabin size luggage.
Never ever use this flight again ( It is cheaper but with cheating your money) it is better pay a bit more expensive with other flight.
The staffs are wild and not even doing hospitality role. Better close down the company if it's continuing like that

I want to report my missing luggage of 23kg which happened between flight AW 215 from Lagos to Accra Kotoko on 13th January,2024 and the connecting flight EK788 from Accra Kotoka to Dubai International Airport the same day. I checked two bags from Lagos and I could only find one at my final destination in Dammam.
