Amazon Prime Mixed Experience with Amazon Prime: Quality Issues, Bait-and-Switch, and Navigation Challenges

My experience with Amazon Prime has been a mixed bag. On one hand, I was excited to purchase my first Kindle and found a beautiful cover on Amazon. However, the quality of the cover was not up to par and started showing signs of wear just a few months after I bought it. It's disappointing to see something you spent money on not hold up over time.

I also signed up for Amazon Prime TV, which includes access to a variety of series. However, I quickly realized that they only give you enough to get hooked before making you pay for each episode or wait years for Prime access. It's frustrating to feel like you're being baited into paying more money.

Another issue I've had with Amazon is the varying quality of products from their vendors. I purchased batteries for my phone, but they turned out to be crap. The vendor replaced them with more crap several times, which was a waste of time and money. It seems like Amazon doesn't care about the quality of their vendors as long as they're making money.

To make matters worse, Amazon's website can be difficult to navigate. They hide things you need, like your list of books on your Kindle, and they've moved it several times, making it harder to find each time. It's frustrating to have to search for something that should be easily accessible.

While Amazon Prime has its benefits, I personally prefer doing business with companies that I can count on for high-quality products and services. Companies like eBay and Costco provide great customer service, long-term well-reviewed vendors, and products. Why settle for mediocre at best?

I canceled my Prime account over a year ago, but recently received a free month membership with a purchase. I'll do further analysis and decide if they've improved before deciding whether to renew my membership.

Amazon Prime Disappointed with Amazon Prime's Return Policy Changes and Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Amazon Prime lately. I used to be a big fan because of how easy it was to return items and get quick refunds. But now, things have changed and it's not as convenient as it used to be.

If you're a frequent shopper like me, you know that when you request a return, you can use a QR code that gets scanned at a UPS store and most returns are free. And if you choose to get a credit to your Amazon account, it used to be credited as soon as the item was scanned. But not anymore.

I recently had to return some items and it took me three whole weeks and four phone calls to figure out that the credit won't show up on my Amazon account until 7 days AFTER they receive the item. And it takes even longer for a refund to your form of payment. I mean, come on! I sent those items back two weeks ago and they were just received today. Now I have to wait seven more days for the credit to be available on my Amazon account. And to make matters worse, I was told I would be emailed with an update 5 days ago, but I haven't heard anything yet.

This is a huge policy change that I don't appreciate at all. And the lack of understanding and customer service is really disappointing, especially since it used to be excellent. I used to love Amazon Prime, but now I'm not so sure. I'll definitely be cutting way back on my purchases, including clothes, shoes, cleaning supplies, beauty products, furniture, pet supplies, electronics, and more.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Review: False Promises of Free Delivery and Limited Selection of Movies and TV Shows

Amazon Prime is a service that promises free delivery, but in reality, it only applies to a small selection of products available on Amazon. What's worse is that non-Prime customers are tricked into signing up for Prime (at least the free trial, which must be canceled within 30 days of registration, otherwise it becomes a paid service) because, at the time of purchase of a product that has shipping costs, a message appears inviting them to sign up for Prime to save on those shipping costs. For example, if shipping costs 5.99 euros, the message appears stating that you can save 5.99 euros on shipping with Prime. All of this is clearly false, as free delivery with Prime is only possible on certain products and not all of them. In fact, after starting the free trial of Prime, I still had to pay for shipping costs that Amazon suggested I could save by signing up for Prime!

Furthermore, when it comes to movies and TV shows available on Prime, there is certainly not the same selection as there is on Netflix, and many series are not even dubbed in Italian, while several films (especially older ones) are also available on YouTube or Dailymotion.

Despite these drawbacks, Amazon Prime does have some benefits. For example, it offers access to Amazon's streaming music service, as well as free access to a selection of e-books and magazines. Additionally, Prime members can take advantage of exclusive discounts and early access to certain products on Amazon.

Overall, while Amazon Prime may not be the perfect service, it does offer some useful features for those who frequently shop on Amazon. However, it's important to be aware of the limitations and not to be fooled by false promises of free delivery on all products.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime Overcharged Me and Couldn't Explain Why: A Disappointing Experience

I recently signed up for Amazon Prime, which costs $12.99 per month. They had an introductory offer of $1.99 for one week, which I decided to try out. However, I only wanted the one shipment/one week service, so I cancelled right away. According to my calculations, I should have been billed $1.99 plus 6% tax ($.12 for Ky sales tax) for a total of $2.11. But when I checked my credit card statement, I was charged $2.16 instead.

I was confused and concerned about this overcharge, so I contacted Amazon via Synchrony Bank, which handles my credit card for Amazon. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke to was unable to provide me with any further information beyond saying that it was taxes. It seemed like they were just reading from a script and couldn't give me any real answers.

This experience left me feeling worried and frustrated. I don't understand why Amazon and Synchrony Bank would overcharge customers and then claim it's for taxes. I've never had this issue with Amazon before, as they always charge the correct tax (6%) on all the products I've ordered. So why is Prime being billed incorrectly?

It's concerning to me that Amazon would inflate the actual published price of a service without providing any explanation or justification for it. If they're going to charge a service fee, it should be clearly spelled out on their website. I don't like feeling like I've been scammed or treated dishonestly.

Overall, I'm disappointed with my experience with Amazon Prime. While I appreciate the convenience of their service, this overcharge has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that Amazon will take steps to address this issue and provide more transparency in their billing practices.

Amazon Prime Amazon Prime: Not Worth the Money Anymore

I've been a member of Amazon Prime for a good 3 years now. Back when I first signed up, it only cost me $75 a year and I could get my hands on ANYTHING they sold with my Prime membership. But let me tell you, things have changed a lot since then. Nowadays, it's $99 a year and only certain things are covered by "Prime." It's just not worth it anymore, if you ask me.

I've been ordering things lately and instead of getting my items in two days, as per my $99/year membership, my orders are getting split up and I'm receiving "1" out of 4 items in 2 days...as per my $99/year waste of $$$. It's just not fair, you know? I mean, I'm paying all this money and I'm not even getting what I paid for.

That's why I've been spending more and more time on EBay these days. At least I KNOW to expect scams and thieves on EBay. Amazon just hides it real good. The sad part is I have spent THOUSANDS $$$ on Amazon as a Prime member because it USED TO be so much of a time saver and I started to get spoiled receiving my items in 2 days, but now good luck finding items that AREN'T sold by 3rd party sellers (hence not bound by the 2day delivery promise you get as a "Prime Member").

I'm not repeating the same mistake for a fourth year in a row by giving them ANOTHER $99. I truthfully only kept it this year because my 6yr old autistic daughter watches her shows on Amazon Video, but I can get Roku and save $90...and not have that "gotta take a shower" dirty feeling for being ripped off AGAIN.

So, folks, learn from my mistakes and don't get suckered in!

Amazon Prime Disappointing Amazon Prime Service: Late Deliveries, High Prices, and Poor Customer Service

I've been a member of Amazon Prime for quite some time now, but I have to say, I'm not too happy with the service lately. I ordered a roll of plastic bags on October 11th and was supposed to receive it on Saturday, but it's been almost two weeks and I still haven't received it. The delivery time keeps getting pushed further and further back, which is really frustrating. I mean, what's the point of paying for Prime delivery if I have to wait this long for an item? It's not like I'm getting it for free - I'm paying for it!

It's not just the delivery time that's bothering me, though. I've noticed that almost everything on Amazon is priced way higher than it should be. It's like someone is making a ton of money off of us, and there's very little accountability in their own department. It's really disheartening to see a company that used to be so customer-focused become so profit-driven.

To make matters worse, it's almost impossible to get in touch with someone from Amazon to voice your complaints. When I called customer service, I was connected with someone in India who had terrible English and seemed uncomfortable writing a complaint. And even when I did get an email response, it just told me that my item would be delivered by a certain date - which turned out to be wrong, by the way.

It's frustrating to feel like there's no direct contact between customers and Amazon representatives. It's like they don't really care about our issues or concerns. And to top it all off, I've noticed that my negative reviews don't even make it to the Amazon reviews page. It's like they're trying to hide anything negative about their service, which is just awful.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with Amazon Prime lately. I hope they start to focus more on their customers and less on their profits, because right now, it feels like they're just taking advantage of us.

Amazon Prime Amazon's Review Policies are Unfair and Untrustworthy: A Call for Change

I gotta say, Amazon Prime is a pretty sweet deal. You get free two-day shipping on a ton of stuff, access to a bunch of movies and TV shows, and even some free games and books. But let me tell ya, not everything on Amazon is created equal. Sometimes you order something from a third party and it's just straight up garbage. Like, what's the deal with that?

But here's the real kicker: Amazon's review policies are just plain BAD. I'm a Quality Control Checker for a bunch of companies, and I buy stuff on Amazon with my own money and then write unbiased reviews for them. And yeah, sometimes I get reimbursed or even paid extra for my trouble. But now, after being a Prime member since 2014, Amazon has gone and revoked my review privileges. They didn't even give me a reason why, just said their decision was final. That's just not right.

And don't even get me started on the reviews that ARE posted on Amazon. They're all just copied straight from the box, so how can you trust them? If Amazon really wants quality product reviews, they need to start looking at themselves first and stop treating their customers like garbage.

Honestly, I think it's time for a National Ban Amazon Purchase Week. Let's show this company that the customer comes first, and that we won't stand for their shoddy policies and lack of respect for our time and effort. We spend hours testing and measuring and taking pictures and videos of their products in action, and they can't even give us a little bit of respect in return? It's time for a change, people.

Amazon Prime Mixed feelings about Amazon Prime: Great for delivery, but streaming issues

So, I don't really know how we got Amazon Prime. Maybe my wife or I accidentally clicked on something or maybe we just wanted to try the free trial and forgot about it. But, after a month or so, we realized we were members and my wife was totally into it. I was also pleasantly surprised. There are so many 'prime' items available that come with free next day delivery. Since we buy quite a bit from Amazon, it saves us money and patience.

The Instant video was a big bonus with loads of TV and film available for free. You can also buy or rent the latest and most popular stuff. It's really convenient to have all of this in one place.

However, we've had some issues with the streaming service. After a few months, we got an Internet connection error when trying to watch any movies or shows. I tried to fix it myself, but it didn't work. So, I called Amazon and they blamed the TV, the Internet provider, and everything else. I pointed out that it was working fine before and that I can still use other Internet services through the smart TV like BBC iPlayer and even movie previews on Amazon. We agreed that I would try to reinstall the app and check my Wi-Fi. Since then, I've had Virgin Media come out and they tested everything, installed a new hub (even though the signal was perfect before and after), and purchased a Wi-Fi booster which has made sure the signal is full strength throughout the house. However, we still can't enjoy any streaming video. All we can do is pay for view and download to a device.

Overall, I think Amazon Prime is worth it for the free next day delivery and the Instant video. But, if we can't get the streaming service working again, we'll probably cancel our membership. I suspect that the issue is a lack of bandwidth at their end, but I'm not sure. As a system test analyst by trade, I know that these things can be complicated.

Amazon Prime Mixed Feelings About Amazon Prime: A Review of the Pros and Cons

I recently got a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, and let me tell you, it's got some good stuff, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows. If they don't start offering cable TV, they might be in trouble. The only real benefits are the free shipping and the TV shows and movies. But if you don't spend at least $150 on shipping a year, it's not worth it. I buy at least 50 items online a year, and I don't think it's worth it. You can find free shipping elsewhere or use their shipping pick up places.

During my free trial period, I ordered a dozen products. One came early, one came on time, and the others were late. The three biggest problems with Amazon Prime are the tracking, the delivery times, and the customer service. They say they have tracking, but it's not real tracking info. They change delivery times at any point and almost every time. The delivery time and date change almost every time, so don't trust it. They give no warning or reason, and it's frustrating. Their customer service is like an illness, they avoid you like the plague. It's very hard to even report anything. They have no email address, which used to be a rule of thumb that if a company had no email, they were a scam and you shouldn't do business with them. But that's all big business now. They have so many customers and advertising, and this generation of young people are dumb and are willing to let people steal from them and do nothing about it. Just like they let TikTok steal all their info and sell it and let the US government take away their free speech and other rights. Amazon knows all this, so they will avoid you and try to keep your money and give little to no service. So don't waste your money, pay the shipping or drive to your local UDF gas station and pick it up for free.
