Unprofessional Employer
This company is very unprofessional. Do not waste your time with these jokers. The ladies in the office obviously spend too much time in a chair and have become amazingly lazi. The office manager, Tom, is a very shady guy and not to be trusted. The owner Amer is out to screw over whoever he can. The hourly wage they promise for the Sales job, is non-existent. The commissions, if large enough, are not paid. It's cheaper for them to fire you and keep the residual income generated by new accounts added.
The drivers constantly complain about the lack of respect shown to them. Several have quit during the past month due to a commission decrease (it's down to 15%). They keep the gratuity on chartered limousines, paying drivers only an hourly rate; this is fraud as the clients intend for the tip to go to the driver.
There are hundreds of other companies in the area. I highly recommend you speak to a few others before joining American Coach Limousine. You'll likely find former employees of American Coach at the other companies. Don't take me word for it; ask them.
American Coach Limousine is as unethical as it gets.

My sad story working for American Coach Limousine (by the way, I am not a disgruntled employee or have a grudge to settle against anyone at that company):
-- Worked for them for about 3-4 months. Made on average only about $3-$4 an hour! I swear!
-- They would send me to faraway suburbs (for example, from Midway airport to Barrington) on a fair that's cheaper than a cab. But unlike a cab, I'd never get a customer to take back along on the return journey. And those black cars are such gas guzzlers! By the time I'd come back to the airport, I'd have wasted tons of MY money on gas; had paid for the tolls; paid for the airport ticket... And the entire journey took maybe 2-3 hours of my time. I'd have to repeat that same scenario over and over again the entire day -- entire week -- and then when I got paid, I'd have spent 80/90-plus hours working my butt off and only made $3 -$4 an hour.
-- Because paying gratuity is not mandatory at ACL (maybe because that goes into the pockets of the drivers and not the owners) you often run into customers who you treat like kings and queens but they don't pay you jack for your effort. However, they gladly tell you "hey, you guys are even cheaper than a cab!"
-- Bottom line: the owners are happy f@#$%^g up their drivers; the customers are happy with the cheap deal they are getting; however, the only ones who are getting RUINED are the drivers. Don't take my word for it, go to either one of the airports and actually ask other limo drivers about their opinion about American Coach Limo. You'd hear words like "vultures, " "thugs, " "robbers" to describe this bloodsucker of a company.
Regrettably, I have had the opportunity to speak with two different sales agents regarding the same trip receiving two totally unique quotes reflecting a difference of over $2000. Yes, I described two different reps, two different quotes one destination and one company! Hans the receiver of the email can’t lose/overlook a second page when you forward a quote marked one of one in a PDF attachment. The "silver lining" in this cloud of deceit is that NO MONIES EXCHANGED HANDS and the 20 people both quotes were presented to WILL NEVER patronize this company. This is an economy wherein only the "HONEST" will survive. I will be forwarding both quotes to the BBB. Good Luck Coach - JAXS.
Dear "J.T. Marlin:"
Your comments and your accusations are completely falsified. American Coach provides strong leads and strong financial backing for all of their employees. It is the employee's responsibility to kick the can down the road and be the best they can be on the court.
If you have animosity because your best wasn't good enough, you have my sympathy.
In the mean time, be thankful that you were given an opportunity at ACL, and continue on with your search that will be a better fit for you.
Regards,
William and Jessica Galupi
Hello,
Everybody is entitled to thier opinion. I am that shady manager Tom, that is being talked about in the complaint. I would have respected this opinion had it been only true and had any substance to it. When a person creates a fake account to post a complaint, it really shows how honest they are being in such complaints.
A disgruntled former employee or current, wish you would be honest enough to put your real name out so I can address and correct your false accusations. Remeber its easy to spread hate, but truth always prevails, as shown by dedicated, loyal, long term ( 7-10years) employees still currently employeed by ACL and will be there for that much longer.
Please have some ethics and respect for others, over 40 poeple make a living with American Coach Limosuine and like any other jobs there are ups and downs. Just becuase you were either incompetent for the task you were hired for or simply lazy, do not bad mouth a company that has always stood on hard work, employee recognation, and honesty.
God Bless,
Tom
