Disappointing Experience with Amigo Foods: Shorted Order and No Reimbursement
So, I ordered from Amigo Foods (amigofoods.com) and they shorted me on my order. I was pretty upset about it, but I figured they would make it right and send me the missing items. But nope, they wouldn't even reimburse me or make up for the shortage. It's pretty frustrating when you pay for something and don't get what you paid for. I wouldn't recommend ordering from them if you want to avoid this kind of hassle.
Amigo Foods' Loty Coconut Milk Drink with Nata De Coco: Tasty but Overpriced
Yo, so I tried out Amigo Foods and got myself some Loty Coconut Milk Drink with Nata De Coco. It's pretty good, but dang it's expensive! $2.59 for just one bottle? That's a lot of dinero. I mean, it's tasty and all, but I don't know if it's worth that much.
I did some research and found out that you can get it for way cheaper at other places. Like, $1.25 each? That's a huge difference. I don't know why Amigo Foods is charging so much.
Overall, the drink is good, but the price is a big turn off. If you're ballin' and don't care about spending extra cash, then go for it. But if you're on a budget, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
Amigofoods: Reliable and Delicious - Highly Recommend!
highly recommend!
I gotta say, Amigofoods is the real deal. I was on the hunt for some Peruvian candy that I couldn't find anywhere else, but these guys had it in stock. And let me tell you, it was worth the search. The candy was so good, I had to order more.
But what really impressed me was how fast my orders arrived. I've ordered from them like six times now, and every time, my stuff comes in like lightning. And it's always in perfect condition, too. No crushed candy or anything like that.
Overall, I'd say Amigofoods is a great company. They've got a good selection of stuff, and they're reliable as heck. If you're looking for some hard-to-find treats, these guys are your best bet. Highly recommend!
Disappointing Experience with Expired Products and High Prices at Amigo Foods
I recently purchased some alfajores from Amigo Foods and was disappointed to receive expired ones. It was a real letdown and felt like a waste of my hard-earned money. To make matters worse, the Dulce de leche that I also ordered is set to expire soon. I wouldn't recommend buying from this website, as they seem to be very irresponsible with their products.
I noticed that another reviewer had mentioned that Amigo Foods is expensive, and I have to agree. The prices are quite high compared to other similar websites, and the quality of the products doesn't seem to match the cost.
Overall, I would advise against shopping at Amigo Foods. The expired products and high prices make it a less than ideal choice for anyone looking for quality Latin American food products.
Authentic Latin American Foods and Great Customer Service from Amigo Foods
So, I went ahead and contacted Amigo Foods customer service and they were super helpful. They apologized for the inconvenience and sent me a replacement jar right away. This time, it arrived in perfect condition and I was able to enjoy the delicious guava marmalade.
Aside from the mishap with the first shipment, I have to say that I am impressed with the variety of products that Amigo Foods offers. They have a great selection of Latin American foods and ingredients that are hard to find in regular grocery stores. I also appreciate that they offer free shipping on orders over $100, which is a great deal.
Overall, I would recommend Amigo Foods to anyone looking for authentic Latin American foods and ingredients. Just be sure to double check your shipment when it arrives to avoid any mishaps like mine. But if anything does go wrong, their customer service team is there to help you out.
Disappointing Experience with Amigo Foods: Missing Items and Poor Shipping Practices
I recently made a purchase on amigofoods.com for a total of $102.00. Unfortunately, when my package arrived, two of the items were missing. I immediately contacted their customer service team to let them know about the issue. After some back and forth, they agreed to send me the missing items.
However, when the package arrived, I was shocked to find that they had sent me a plain Manila envelope with only one dulce de leche inside. To make matters worse, it was a scorching hot day with temperatures reaching 97 degrees. The package was hot to the touch and I was worried about the quality of the dairy product inside.
I live about an hour away from Amigo Foods, so I was surprised that they would send a dairy product in Florida weather without any type of insulation. I contacted them again to let them know that the package had been in the sun and that the dulce de leche was no longer edible. They simply refunded my money without deducting anything from the outrageous shipping costs.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with Amigo Foods. While they did eventually send me the missing item, the fact that they sent it in such poor conditions was unacceptable. I hope that they take steps to improve their shipping practices in the future to ensure that their customers receive their products in good condition.
Disappointing and Disrespectful: My Experience with Amigo Foods' Blog on Brazilian Cuisine
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Amigo Foods. I stumbled upon their website while searching for some Brazilian recipes to try out here in the good ol' USA. But when I checked out their blog, I was pretty shocked by what I found.
First off, the writing was just plain bad. I mean, I'm no English professor or anything, but even I could tell that this stuff was poorly written. And then there were all the mistakes about Brazilian culture. I mean, come on, if you're gonna write about a country, at least do some research first!
One of the biggest mistakes the author made was calling Brazilians "Hispanic." Um, excuse me? Last time I checked, we were colonized by Portugal, not Spain. And our main language is Brazilian Portuguese, not Spanish. It's like the author didn't even bother to look up the basics before writing about our country.
And then there were all the mistakes about our food. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to get this stuff right? The author called a brand of corneal flour a recipe, when it's actually just an ingredient in Brazilian cuscuz. And they compared our cheese rolls to British scones, which is just plain ridiculous. And don't even get me started on the fact that they named our foods in Spanish instead of Portuguese.
But the worst part was when the blogger said that we don't eat eggs for breakfast. I mean, what the heck? That's just plain offensive. We eat whatever we want for breakfast, thank you very much.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with Amigo Foods. It's not hard to find good information about Brazil, but this website just completely disregarded our culture. And if they're doing the same thing with other Central and South American countries, then that's just plain disrespectful.
I recently placed an order online. To my surprise they replaced half of the order with different brand products, and those that were not switched were already expired four months ago.
This "Amigo" seems to be more an "Enemigo". I advise not using their service due to bad business practices.
