Poor communcation
Poor communcation. I've been waiting 3 weeks for someone to come out and fix my window. I spoke with the Project Manager. I was told that someone would probably come out yesterday. No one came and there was no update from the Manager. I reached out again and got no response from the Project Manager. I wouldn't recommend this Company to anyone.
So, the sales guy said the roof over for our double wide would cost 11 thousand, but when I signed the contract, it said 12,500
So, the sales guy said the roof over for our double wide would cost 11 thousand, but when I signed the contract, it said 12,500. My bad for not catching that, but I thought he was honest and turns out he wasn't. Now I'm down 3000 bucks. I tried calling the office and the salesman, but they basically said tough luck. I wouldn't recommend using them.
We had all our windows replaced, two lanai's with acrylic's installed, and a roof over put on our home
We had all our windows replaced, two lanai's with acrylic's installed, and a roof over put on our home. We didn't have one problem from the estimate, officer staff, installers, and the inspection. They did a great job, and our installer, Dave, was amazing. He worked 4 days, from early morning till late afternoon with only a short lunch break and never left our home without cleaning up. You wouldn't never know he had been working there. The roof installers were the same, came in early and continued to work until finished and left our property totally cleaned up. Thank you AMS for a great job and making our lives so much better.
We signed a contract with AMS in July
We signed a contract with AMS in July . Till now, no roof over has been installed. They don't return calls when you leave a voicemail. I was told last year, they'd start the roof in September. That date came & went. Called again, no response. Cut short a vacation out of town to be here for the new roof & no one showed for the appt. Was told they rec'd the roofing material, but a part was damaged & would need to be reordered. To make a long story short, they're telling me they can't get insulation...no one will return my call. Gave them a $200 deposit & am now very suspicious of having them do the work (whenever they get around to it). Definitely unhappy and can't believe the horrible customer service...no updates, no returned called. Are they going bankrupt?
This company is the most unprofessional that I have dealt with
This company is the most unprofessional that I have dealt with. I am a contractor and have dealt with hundreds of contractors. We spent days with their salesman *** and decided to hire them for a patio roof and extension to an existing room on our mobile home. We signed a contract and gave a large deposit. A few days later we get a call from *** and he tells us that they will not do the work and to get someone else to do it. He would not give us details as to why and all we can guess is he underbid the job or it was too difficult for them to do. Who knows! I tried calling the General Manager. I left a message and did not get a return call. After this incident, I asked some of our neighbors about AMS and they told us of a few jobs done in our park that were done incorrectly and not remedied. At this point, I am glad they cancelled on us. The one star rating should be a one star rating.
I had problems with my carport and knew I needed it fixed before the next hurricane season
I had problems with my carport and knew I needed it fixed before the next hurricane season. I called AMS to get a free estimate. A guy came out and gave me a reasonable quote. I told him I needed to finance the work, which he didn't seem happy about, but I had no other choice at the time. I did mention that I was getting two more quotes, but that didn't seem to be a problem. A week later, I called to let him know he got the job and wanted to schedule the work. It took me calling every other day for two weeks to finally get him to call me back. I should have known then that there would be issues, but my neighbor had a good experience with them, so I gave them a chance. Finally, when he did call me back, we scheduled a time for him to come out and do the paperwork. A few hours before the appointment, he called to say he couldn't make it because he had to go to the dentist for a broken tooth. Things happen, I get it. It took another week of me calling to finally get a hold of him and schedule another appointment. At this point, I needed the work done soon, so I set an appointment where I had to leave work early. Once again, I was at home waiting for our 5pm appointment. He called me at 4:50pm and said he hurt his back the day before and was on his way to a chiropractor appointment. I was furious. His back issue happened the day before, and he's calling me 10 minutes before our appointment to cancel when I left work early? Another week went by before he called back at 7:15am to schedule another appointment later that week. During that call, I told him I didn't need to finance anymore. The day before our appointment, he called and told me to call a number and give my information to a lady. I called her, and she started asking for my social security number. I asked why she needed it, and she said for the financing. I told her I wasn't going to finance and that I had already informed the guy about it. We ended the call. Finally, the guy showed up to do the paperwork. I had never done anything like this before, so unfortunately, I was very naive. We completed the paperwork, and I gave a big deposit. Then I asked when the work would start. He said it would be 12 weeks. I was shocked. That's well into hurricane season! He said there was nothing he could do because they were busy. I'm so angry! I feel like because it's a small job for them, I'm being put on the back burner. I tried calling again, but when you call, you just get an operator who takes a message and says someone will call back the next day. This time, I called and said I didn't want to speak to the guy anymore and that I wanted someone else to call me back. If the guy did call, I would hang up on him. It's been three days, and I still haven't heard back from them. I was considering getting a quote from them for a new roof, but there's no way now. I will speak badly about this company every chance I get. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to wait because of the big deposit I gave them.

I signed a contract for a new roof and was told they were six months out
I signed a contract for a new roof and was told they were six months out. Then the hurricane came and completely ripped off my roof and carport. I tried contacting AMS, but they didn't respond. I had no other option but to hire a different roofing company to get the job done. I've asked multiple times for my deposit back, but the only response I got was that they're in the hospital. The deposit was around $***, but I don't have the contract with me right now. It's somewhere in ***.
On April 1, 2022, I met with *** and signed a contract with AMS, Inc
On April 1, 2022, I met with *** and signed a contract with AMS, Inc. I gave them a deposit check and later inquired about the installation date. They informed me that it would be at the end of August, without having knowledge of the actual condition of the roof. Unfortunately, we have since discovered that the roof is deteriorating, and with hurricane season upon us, we are concerned. We are currently renovating our home, and if the roof fails, it will cause us significant financial hardship. Additionally, when I contacted AMS about another issue, I was informed that there were people waiting since October. Due to the conflicting information and difficulties in reaching AMS, I would like to cancel the contract. I have made several attempts to communicate with them, including sending an email, but it was returned.
I contacted Ams about my windows warranty a year ago
I contacted Ams about my windows warranty a year ago. I called the window maker, and they confirmed that the windows are still under warranty. Ams came and inspected them, and they said they would replace them. I've been calling them every week, sometimes multiple times a week, and they keep saying they have the work order or will call me back. But I never hear from them. I continue to call them every week. They are a terrible company when it comes to honoring my warranty, but when they want to do work, they are quick to take a third down payment and full payment when the work is done. Their last message was that they would be in touch on May 20th or May 23rd. I even missed work just to be home for them! This has been a frustrating experience, and they won't even call me back. Can you please help me?

I had 10 windows installed on May 20
I had 10 windows installed on May 20. I was really happy with the windows and the installation. But when it was time to put the screens in, he found 7 that were bent. He put in 3 and said new screens would be ordered and put in before we came back in the fall. I came back in September and still didn't have screens. Since then, I've called at least a dozen times and they keep saying they're working on it. I called in March and said I wouldn't call again and wanted my screens put in ASAP. That's when *** Banner called me back and said my screens would be in on April 4, 2022, and he would put them in himself that week. I said again that I wouldn't call back but I would file a complaint. I still don't have screens.
I got this mobile home in Florida with a lifetime warranty on the roof
I got this mobile home in Florida with a lifetime warranty on the roof. But dang, when it started leaking, I reached out to AMS on July 19, needing help ASAP. I called 'em multiple times, but they didn't pick up. And when they did, nobody could tell me when they'd come fix my roof. The damage inside was getting worse, so I sent 'em pictures and practically begged 'em to come fix the roof and walls. Finally, after weeks, they sent a technician. But guess what? The technician said the roof wasn't leaking. We argued a bunch, but eventually, he agreed to send a crew to seal the seams and nails where water might be sneaking in. But guess what again? Nobody ever showed up, and the damage just kept getting worse. I'm expecting AMS to pay me back for the expenses I had to cover to repair or replace the roof and interior walls. I've reached out to 'em multiple times, trying to sort this out, and I've given 'em plenty of chances to honor the warranty.
We called AMS 'bout a leak in our Lifetime Warrantied Roof in early July 2022
We called AMS 'bout a leak in our Lifetime Warrantied Roof in early July 2022. We was on vacation from July 30th until August 6th. Durin' the time we was gone, their representative came out and supposedly resealed the area of the roof that was leakin'. On September 6th we again called AMS to report that the roof continued to leak. This was prior to Hurricane *** We was gone durin' Hurricane *** and upon return called to see when to expect the service person. We was told that at the current time they was only doin' complete roof repairs. We called again on October 7th to ask what type of sealant we could use ourselves to try and repair the leak and were told that our warranty was voided due to the Hurricane. We did not have any damage from the Hurricane and were only callin' 'bout the previous issue that wasn't resolved. This looks like a very convenient way to renege on a warranty obligation. The warranty was not voided followin' Hurricane ***. Their representative was extremely rude and I responded in kind. I would not recommend AMS based on their warranty or performance.
On January 23, my two neighbors and I engaged with a roofing company for our homes.
On January 23, my two neighbors and I signed contracts and gave a deposit to a representative from AMS company for new roofs on our three mobile homes. The work's completion took a while, prompting us to make several calls and visits to their office. We reached an agreement with the manager that the work would be done by March 12. However, only one roof was done before we left. Upon our return to Florida, the company claimed price increases and wanted to dishonor our contracts despite assurances of having all materials. They delayed installation citing time constraints. My contract was for a specific amount with a deposit already paid. My neighbor had a similar contract. Recently, they proposed a new agreement with added fees, which we refused, insisting on the original terms. They attempted to settle by returning 60% of our deposits, but we want the contracted services completed, as the delays were their responsibility.
