On Nov. 22,2023 I called Anderson Plumbing to unclog my kitchen sink.
A technician came and attempted to clear the drain. while trying to clear the drain the technician got his auger stuck in the sewer line at a junction. The technician tried and failed to get the auger out so he called in help. At this time i was told they would need to saw into my outdoor stucco drain to be able to remove the auger. I gave approval for this as the tech. told me that Anderson will repair the stucco wall.
After the auger was retrieved from the sewer line the tech said that they needed to send a camera down the drain to find out why the auger got caught. I approved this as the tech said it would be at no cost to me.
On Dec. 5,2023 a tech came to send a camera down my sewer pipe.
After making sure there was no obstruction in the sewer line. the tech told me the the problem was at the joint underneath a bedroom floor. I was told that it was improperly installed by builder that there could be leaking at this joint and could cause problems in the future.
Since I am concerned about my property and future damage I agreed to
jack hammer into my bedroom floor and replace the pipes.
while the tech was digging up this area I and the Tech did not notice any leakage into the soil around the hole. They removed the pipe and replaced it and filled the hole and cemented it. I asked I them to leave the old pipe with me.
When my contractor came to replace the flooring I asked him to evaluate the old pipe. He taped up both ends of the pipe and filled with water and there was NO leak. I have a video of this process that i would be happy to share with you.
I was led to believe that future damage would occur if the digging was not done out of fear of further damage i agreed to this procedure.
I would never have wanted to drill into my Slab if i had not thought that damage was happening right under my foundation.
I am requesting the return of my money of $5,861.71 plus the $500.00 to replace the flooring that I would not have needed. Know one would agree to dig up foundation slab just to replace a sewer pipe that was improperly put in unless there was damage done..
Claimed loss: $6,361.71
Desired outcome: Return the above amount in full
