Extremely rude, arrogant staff members and have absolutely no customer service. Lied about the opening date of the gym. Had to call up at least 5 times and i kept on getting the same answer, it will open within a few days which lead up to over a month. I have been conned to join up early to be able to get a good offer and was promised that the gym was to be opened in the first week of decemeber and that i was going to be notified by email or through sms and that was not the case as i did not recieve any notice. When i attended the gym and spoke to the staff and there response was "well the gym is now opened now and everyone in the system did get a notification' no apologies or compensation whatsoever. Never again. I feel disgusted that i am now locked up with this gym for a year can't wait till i get out of there.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I completely agree with you. Terrible terrible service, filthy rude staff especially this guy who has little man syndrome. A total jerk.
What a sad life you live, cool story!
I used different anytime fitness centre in sydney but totally agree that this is one of worst fitness centre in Australia. There is joining fee of $115 for member. It is just a phony trick for promotional ads. They say there is no fee if you join today.
The gym area is too small and packed everything in single hall. Many equipments are missing and you will be disappointed if you follow your own program. You will miss one or two exercises in a day because of non-available equipments. They don't even have spare bar, kettle-bell, bands and many more. If you ask for these equipments, they give lame excuse of need for 25 people request in written.
The sale manger at anytime fitness are pure sale person and care only when you visit to join. They see you as a commodity and interested in people joining gym and pursue you with tricks. Don't join this gym if you are not planned for year. Visit gym with the strong mind of not joining immediately. You will have different opinion if you take break day or two. You might find better fitness centre near your place at better rate than this with more services.
Through gym open 24hours a day but inflexible when it comes to suggestion, request and freezing and canceling membership. If you have to move other place for travel or relocate or taking break, you will be still debited from bank for not using gym services. They don't have any facilities and services like sauna, swimming pool, and free (or at cost ) training program (yoga, Pilate, boxing, on field).
Despite lack facilities, equipments and services, you are still pay about $780 per year. Don't fooled by $2 per day offer. Yo actually pay more than other gyms which offer 10 more services at lesser price. The carpet, and pad were too old and never seen vacuuming room.
There were 1000s of complaints on net regarding cancellation, poor and lack of services, scams, rip off anytime centre from all over world.
Just a note, I saw "aussie_stud" posted the exact same thing on Whirlpool. I would completely disregard their post.
I joined today so I can't give any long term judgments but I did not feel any pressure to join, the woman who helped me out was incredibly friendly and took her time with me (I was with her for over half an hour and she never gave the impression that she was too busy for me or anything). She then got tied up with something so passed me on to a guy to show me the place after I signed up. He gave me a fantastic overview of the place and spent over 10 minutes with me showing each section of the gym, all facilities, even how to use some of the equipment I had questions on. This is not even the orientation which I will have next week!
The people that go to this gym seemed okay, of course there are some pretty staunch guys there but there's no staring, we are all there to look after ourselves and the place is utterly and completely SPOTLESS. I had been to Prairiewood leisure centre before and that place had much older equipment, was a bit run down, and also had some show offs. Same with the Fairfield leisure centre.
The place isn't very big but everything you need is there, and the woman told me they were soon expanding upstairs and will offer classes when that happens - included in the cost of the membership. This is not critical for me - the gym seems perfectly sized and equipped as it is but that's a great bonus if they are expanding!
It's a shame about the first post - I suppose things usually take longer than expected when starting something from scratch (the place was a derelict vacant place and now it looks great).
I suppose it's now a case of hopefully this remains a good experience - reading comments on Whirlpool, it looks like most people are fairly happy with Anytime Fitness in general.
i had sent an email to cancel my membership at anytime fitness North Parramatta, NSW as they needed a 30 day notice in order to cancel my membership, they still took money out of my account, so i called them up and asked why the money was being taken out they pretended to never receive that email. So, i sent forwarded them the old email to the exact same address and this time they receive it and reply me back saying they will cancel my membership after taking money out of my account One more time than they were suppose to. I kept calling them regarding this matter but everytime they were saying the manager will call me back but it never happened. Be wary of the staff at this particular gym they are not to be believed, they will lie to you just to get extra $54 out of you
Quakers hill anytime fitness is disgusting in service... very rude and I'm ashamed to be a member! They don't care about you only that fat paycheck.
