We keep getting telephone calls from this company, and when we answer, no one is on the line. Their number is [protected]. I have called this number and I get a recording to leave a message, which I have done, no call backs, we keep getting the calls.
We are sick and tired of these calls and want them stopped.

I receive 10 automated calls per day and night. I am on the DO NOT CALL List. I left a voicemal on 12/7/2010 requesting to be taken off of their list.
I agree with this poster...and for the record, they do not call STRICTLY on behalf of charities. I received two calls within one hour from the same ACS number and did not answer either. The first call was a recording about a local job placement agency. I have made repeated calls and left messages asking to be taken off their list to no avail. Really losing my patience for this crack organization.
Associated Community Services just called me AGAIN! I requested they take me off their list and do not call me on behalf of any charity ever again. If I want to donate, I will go to the charity's website of my choice and make a direct donation. The csr talked so fast I didn't understand a thing he said except he was calling with ACS. So, after he tried to solicit the least amount of a donation that I guess they will accept which is $10, I asked him how much of that donation actually goes to the charity (Burn Center for Children in this case). He put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Do not donate your hard earned money to this solicitor. If you want to donate, go directly to the website of the charity of your choice and donate directly. Why would I want to hand over my hard earned money to these solicitors?
Associated Community Services is an all around scam. They take 80% or more of all donations received. They have over 1000 employees that call people back to back from 8am till about 12am. They collect over $300, 000.00 a day and operate monday through saturday. They are taught to attack each person they call on an emotional level hoping they would submit to a donation. The employees also are being scammed in many ways. They have a system called Pause Time, which is the all the time spent off the phone after the employees are punched in. They are barely allowed enough time for enough breaks to make it through a stressful work day. They are not allowed to have a 30 minute lunch. If their pause time (42 minutes a day) exceeds the weekly limit, the employee is suspended and ends up short in hours for the week. If they do not work a full work week then their pay is cut (ex: goes from $10.00/hour to $8.00/hour) and this is very common because suspensions are so easily obtained. 90% of their staff is unhappy, and 99% of their donors are unhappy. this will show you in detail what these people do http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/local_news/investigations/company-pockets-majority-of-charitable-donations-to-cancer, -veterans, -children's-groups
Stop ACS. Complain to your state attorney general. Contact ACS and tell them they will be stopped. 29777 Telegraph Rd Southfield, MI [protected]
This really sucks. In addition to the Southfield Michigan address, they give a mailing address as:
Copillevitz & Cantor, LLC
310 West 20th St. Ste 300
Kansas City, MO 64108
This is a law firm with offices in Washington DC. Not only do they represent the telemarketing industry, the are lobbyist. They may also be the force behind ACS.
I have received calls recently from Virginia area codes representing some of the same charities.
