I got lied to 'bout a resort stay I was 'sposed to get
I got lied to 'bout a resort stay I was 'sposed to get. They told me my stay was already paid for, but when I tried to book, they wanted me to pay again. I asked for a refund, but they said no and tried to make me pay more for my stay. I'm gonna take legal action with my lawyer.
I just had a call with ATA Travel Services and it was a terrible experience
I just had a call with ATA Travel Services and it was a terrible experience. The lady on the phone had the nerve to remind me that I didn't pay the "full value" of the package, so she basically told me to be quiet and accept whatever she says. I asked her to explain why I have to pay extra for certain destinations, and she responded by saying I'm arguing with myself. She ended the call with an unpleasant giggle. It's best to avoid them, you don't need this.
These guys called me on April 22, 2022
These guys called me on April 22, 2022. Just like others have complained, they told me that I bought a travel plan from another company. They said that according to a contract from 2018, I bought a travel package at a discounted price, but I didn't attend a timeshare briefing, so they charged me $2950, which is the full price of the package. Then, they told me that if I didn't pay the hardship rate of $998, they would charge my visa because they had a preauthorization. I checked my email and couldn't find any contract like that. Don't give these guys your money! Right from the start, it felt like a scam. They claim to want to help you avoid the full charge, but it's all a bunch of lies!
Terrible, Terrible, Terrible
Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. Bait and Switch! If I could leave zero stars, I would! I got a confirmation (and confirmation number for the reservation) that my charge card would be charged for $1508 because of the high season and I added a room. I approved that. Then I called to correct a mistake in names! While on phone with that, they said they made a "mistake" and I would now have to pay $2500! Since they would do absolutely nothing if I wouldn't pay the difference, thy cancelled the reservation that has take nearly a month to get due to their other mistakes and ineptitude! I am contacting Sheraton, Sapphire Resort and Vacation Grand Getaways to let them know that ATA is horrible! Do not buy vacation packages from Sapphire, Vacation Grand Getaways, Destination Direct.
This company should be put out of business
This company should be put out of business. I don't know how many more reviews are needed for action to be taken. In fewer words, this is a complete scam! I paid a promotional value for a supposed vacation package where I was never able to be booked because they kept saying there was no availability. Then, I was told that they confirmed a vacation and that I never showed up! This is unacceptable. How companies like this keep operating by fraud and making millions of dollars out of the trust of US citizens is beyond me. Beware of this company operating as Horizon Vacation Packages. They will take your money, promise vacations and beautiful places, and it's all a lie! Don't fall for this. Nowadays, it's cheap to fly and travel on your own using companies like Airbnb or Booking, which are great and reliable. Hope this helps somehow to prevent more people from being scammed.
I kept gettin' these telemarketing calls from ATA Travel Services, so I thought, hey, maybe I should give 'em a shot
I kept gettin' these telemarketing calls from ATA Travel Services, so I thought, hey, maybe I should give 'em a shot. Ended up spendin' $150 on five different deals. But then, ya know, the pandemic happened and travel was a no-go. I told 'em I ain't riskin' my health and life to travel when COVID's goin' crazy. Asked 'em to extend or refund the money, but nope, they didn't wanna refund. The rep said they could extend it to 30 months from when I bought it in late 2019. Still couldn't make any travel plans though. They told me to check their site for availability and wait for 'em to get in touch. But guess what? No email, no call from 'em. So this year, in 2021, I left 'em another message after tryin' seven times. The rep said she'd look into it and follow up, 'cause I'm at work and all. But guess what? No call back, no email, nothin'. And now I find out they ain't even accredited by the ComplaintsBoard.com. Somethin's seriously messed up here. Tried callin' 'em this weekend, but no one ever answers.
I bought a package from ATA Travel Services in July and they told me to call when I was ready to book my vacation
I bought a package from ATA Travel Services in July and they told me to call when I was ready to book my vacation. So, in August, I called to arrange the vacation deal, but they said I needed to give them 30 days' notice. I called again 8 months later to book another vacation, making sure to give them the required notice. However, they told me that my package had been canceled, but I never received a refund. They transferred me to another "department" and said I would receive a call back because they were unavailable at the moment. When I called again, the loyalty manager admitted that it was their mistake for not processing my refund earlier. However, they still insisted that my package had been canceled 8 months ago. This delay caused me to accumulate almost $100 in interest on my credit card because I couldn't book my vacation and wasn't refunded promptly. Moreover, every time I called, they gave me a new reason why I couldn't book the vacation. It feels like a scam. When I asked for their address, a helpful customer service representative explained that the flex and stay company had closed down, but ATA Travel Services still had the remaining packages. She mentioned that their company, ATA Travel Services, is located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and ATA stands for Atlantic Travel Alliance. The loyalty manager constantly interrupts customers and talks over them.

I got a call from ATA Travel Services on 2/8, and they were talking about some time share thing that sounded fishy
I got a call from ATA Travel Services on 2/8, and they were talking about some time share thing that sounded fishy. They said I would be charged more than $2000 because I didn't go through with the time share visit. But I never even knew about any contract or anything like that. Turns out, the whole time share "visit" was a scam, so I canceled it. ATA Travel Services seemed like they were trying to scam me too. They couldn't provide any information to back up what they were saying. They even put a "manager" on the line to scare me even more.
The vacation package I bought from this company was super misleading
The vacation package I bought from this company was super misleading. They didn't include anything they promised for the price they quoted me. It felt like a total scam, like they baited me with false promises and then switched everything up. The Attorney General should really look into how they do business and their deceptive claims. On top of that, the employees are so rude and they do everything they can to stop you from canceling. They'll hang up on you and even block your number so you can't call and ask for a refund. And even the so-called "director" didn't seem to care about how awful his agents were behaving. Seriously, people should stay away from this company no matter what!
On March 24, 2022, we bought a package from ATA Travel Services for $598
On March 24, 2022, we bought a package from ATA Travel Services for $598. It was supposed to include a 4-night all-inclusive stay in *** (with a property presentation), a 3-night stay at a Host location, a $500 best hotel card, a $400 restaurant certificate, and the option to purchase five discounted 7-night stays. Today, November 4, 2022, we called to book our 4-night all-inclusive stay in ***. They asked for our names, address, combined annual income, birthdays, and such to check if we qualified. Then, they wanted us to sign a request form and provide copies of our IDs and credit cards (front and back) to submit a request to the hotel. They made it clear that this wasn't a confirmation of the reservation. We also tried to use our $500 best hotel card. To redeem it, they asked for our name, address, phone number, email, credit card details, and signature, along with a fee of $24.95. They said we could only use this best hotel card on their travel site. I can't help but feel like we've been scammed. They keep asking for more information and money in an insecure way, without any guarantee of actual reservations.

Fraudulent Sale: On 2/14/2022, I got a call from ATA Travel Services offering me a package
Fraudulent Sale: On 2/14/2022, I got a call from ATA Travel Services offering me a package. I explained that I wanted to buy it for my brother-in-law, who unfortunately has cancer and wants to go to *** on 4/30/23 for a week. The representative put me on hold to check if there was availability. When they came back, they claimed there was availability, so I went ahead and purchased the package.
However, when I tried to schedule the trip, I discovered a few things. Firstly, the representative had lied about being able to check availability. Secondly, their *** doesn't actually make reservations. Instead, they sent me a certificate that required me to pay to activate it. Then, I had to provide three different dates, each a month apart, and the hotel/resort would choose one for me. This meant that I couldn't choose my own travel dates.
I called again and spoke to another representative who assured me that she could book the trip for me on the desired dates. However, after not hearing back from her, I called again. This time, she put me on hold and just left me there.
It's clear that these people are selling these packages under false pretenses. I urge someone to take action against them.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. It's a so-called 3rd party travel agency. They will sell you a package that isn't there. So I bought a vacation package from them and they have done nothing but lie and steal. They took my money and blocked all calls. None of the reservation numbers are working numbers. They never sent the confirmation email. When I was able to contact them, *** didn't work there. Then they had no record of selling me a package. Then it wasn't their company that called me, then they had the wrong email which they didn't. Went around with them of the 30-day refund which it was less than 24 hours after I purchased. They finally said they would send me a refund which never got and they told me if I contacted my bank they wouldn't send me a refund. This company is a scam. They also go by ATA travel, destination direct, flex and stay, they claim they are in contract with RCI, Hilton, Hyatt, blue lagoon, wdyham, blue green. They are not! Stay away! Very big scam. They claim they have been in business for 5 years. Liars, scammers, fraud all the way. Save your money.
